The title of the September 8 USA Today column was a bit misleading.

Author Tom Krattenmaker’s focus was urging pro-life Christians to become involved in the effort to sustain water, the growing scarcity of which, he claimed, is becoming a worldwide problem:

Leslie at The Passionate Prolifer Turned Abolitionist took exception this week to KNUS talk show host Krista Kafer, also a fellow at Colorado Christian University, who said, according to Leslie, “she wouldn’t have a problem voting for a ‘pro-choice’ candidate since abortion is just one of a number of issues women care about.”

An August 15 op ed in the Washington Post makes the case that a common depiction of abortion by proponents plays right into pro-life hands.

Janet Harris, former communications director for the pro-abortion group EMILY’s List, cites several reasons why calling abortion a “difficult decision” cedes ground. She also posits the first clear reason I’ve read why “pro-choice” is problematic:

On August 2 pro-life abolitionist Caleb Head, a member of Abolish Human Abortion, observed a Chick-fil-A catering truck making a delivery to Houston Women’s Clinic. According to Head, this abortion mill is the busiest in Houston and 4th busiest in the country….

AHA initiated phone calls and online activism to admonish this Chick-fil-A, located at 3101 West Holcombe Avenue, to repent and never do this again.

Head’s father, Pastor Scott Head, wrote a letter to CFA Holcombe’s owner, Juli Salvagio, who responded:

I have sensed for some time that abortion proponents are becoming increasingly and overtly hostile to pro-life activism.

An immediate example is UCSB Professor Mireille Miller-Young, photo right, who this week pleaded “no contest” to charges that she assaulted a pro-life teenager and stole her sign. 

Yesterday, liberal site Wonkette revealed that even abortion supporters subliminally connect Planned Parenthood to abortion, despite all their conscious denials, when it posted the above photo, labeled “zombie-ice-cream-truck” with the following article, which got it in a bit of trouble with Planned Parenthood:
