  • Ad Week asked 6 women in advertising to rebrand “pro-choice.” The results are… well… ummm… see for yourself. If this is the best they can come up with then maybe abortion advocates should stick with “pro-choice”:

Simply evolving the language and sentiment from pro-choice to something like pro-me would acknowledge that reproductive rights are a personal decision, one of many, that young women actively participate in every day.

EXCLUSIVE emails: J.J. Redick badgered girlfriend after abortion, used racial slurs

2013-07-24_1145-e1374684357965In July 2013 MediaTakeOut.com broke the story that basketball star J.J. Redick had initiated an “abortion contract” with then girlfriend Vanessa Lopez to abort their baby.

The contract stated the couple would attempt to ”maintain a social and/or dating relationship” for one year after the abortion, and if Redick reneged he would pay Lopez $25,000.

  • Big Blue Wave describes how use of the NuvaRing contraceptive seriously impaired the health of US Olympic hopeful Megan Henry (pictured left), a skeleton skater, who spent ten days in the hospital suffering from life-threatening blood clots (pulmonary embolism). This sidelined her training and dashed her hopes of qualifying for the Olympics.
  • Clinic Quotes says a descendant of Margaret Sanger is continuing her legacy for “reproductive freedom”:

Alexander Sanger, abortion advocate and descendent of Planned Parenthood founder and controversial figure Margaret Sanger, said the following:
“Reproductive freedom is vital to humanity. It is even more vital than all the other freedoms that we cherish – freedom of religion, freedom of thought and speech, and the freedom to live our lives as we see fit. Humanity has these freedoms, or should have them, because they add to human happiness and make for a better world. So does reproductive freedom.”

Really? Even more important than freedom of thought is the freedom to kill one’s children before birth? Remind me again… which side is extreme?

  • Michael J. New believes other reasons may be behind the U.S.’s declining abortion rate:

Interestingly, none of these analysts [who claim increased contraception is the reason behind the decline] is willing to consider that shifts in public opinion on abortion may be playing a role. May of 2009 was the first time that a majority of Americans identified themselves as “pro-life” in a Gallup survey. “Pro-life” has outpolled “pro-choice” six out of nine times since the spring of 2009….

Since the abortion rate is falling while the unintended-pregnancy rate is stable, a higher percentage of women facing unintended pregnancies are choosing to carry their children to term. Data from the Department of Health and Human Services support this, pro-lifers should take heart in it.

  • A 20-year-old college student is suing Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, claiming he is pressuring her to have an abortion:

Norwood said everything changed when she told Foster she was pregnant and wanted to keep the baby.

“He’s like, ‘You can’t have this, you can’t have this kid, like, we cannot bring a child into this, like, think about my kids,'” Norwood said.

She said Foster began sending text messages urging her to end the pregnancy.

“You just can’t bring a life into this world under these circumstances. It’s not fair to anyone. It’s not just about you,” read one message, according to Norwood.

How to convince a girl to get an abortion

If you are not ready to be a father, the following arguments may help you convince a girl to get an abortion. The first two methods I describe below have worked for me in separate instances for the two abortions I have paid for….

BREAKING: Documents show NBA player coerced pregnant girlfriend to abort

2013-07-24_1145

Yesterday, MediaTakeOut.com released an abortion contract dating back to 2007 between NBA player J. J. Redick and then-girlfriend Vanessa Lopez.

I’ve had this and other documents related to that abortion for the better part of two weeks but out of concern for Vanessa wanted to make contact with her before going public.

Scientists to UN: Abortion increases violence against women

imageScientists met this week in New York to discuss recent scientific evidence regarding abortion as a form of growing violence against women and girls.

Indiscriminate practice of abortion is correlated with coercion, a history of sexual abuse, violence during pregnancy, intimate partner violence and with psychological consequences that may lead to suicide.
