This week, due in part to connections I’ve been able to establish across the pro-life spectrum, I was able to:

• do original pro-life reporting in my post, “Planned Parenthood captures abortion monopoly in Texas”
• delve much deeper into a story barely covered by the mainstream media in my post, “Judge blocks Kissimmee Planned Parenthood from committing abortions”
• provide the sorely missing pro-life angle in my post, “Pro-life activists wreak havoc on New Orleans’ pro-abortion peace”

Each of these stories took several hours to several days to investigate and pull together. I was only enabled to do this thanks to the generosity of pro-lifers who freed my time to focus on pro-life journalism.

Pro-lifers learned by accident this past March what Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando had been trying to keep secret until it was ready to open two months later, that it had purchased a clinic suite in the middle of a large medical complex in Kissimmee, just 20 minutes from Disney World.

Planned Parenthood intended to commit abortions at its new Kissimmee clinic, which it purchased for $1.4 million in 2013, despite the fact that deed restrictions prohibit surgical procedures from being performed without permission from other owners.

Pro-lifers and surrounding business owners quickly took action, planning protests (photo above) and filing a lawsuit.

• The Missouri House has passed a bill to extend the abortion waiting period to 72 hours. It passed 111-39. Pro-aborts are lamely doing a ceremonial filibuster outside the Capitol:
  

  The House voted 111-39 in favor of the measure Wednesday, sending it to [Gov. Jay] Nixon, who has previously allowed other abortion restrictions to become law without his signature. That included a measure last year that requires doctors to be in the room for the initial dose of a drug used in medical abortions.

  Nixon said Tuesday that he would review the extended waiting period and act in a manner consistent with his other actions on abortion legislation.

On May 3, a group of 70 physicians took out a full page ad on page 2 of the Osceola News Gazette to encourage Kissimmee, Florida, citizens to join them in attempting to keep Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando from opening an abortion mill in their community, which is just 20 minutes from Walt Disney World.
