  • At Coming Home, Dr. Gerard Nadal details the perfect storm swirling in Australia (as well as the United States) where empirical evidence on the abortion-breast cancer (ABC) link is confronted with an ideology which seeks to suppress the data:
Melbye, Brinton, and the rest of the NCI coterie deny the validity of their own data (as well as data from all over the globe), data that time and time again substantiate the ABC link. Their sole reason for denying the data in case-control studies (which are retrospective analyses) is the assertion that women who have had induced abortions are more likely to recall them, or report them if they have breast cancer. Dr. Janet Daling who included in one of her studies a test of this putative bias, studied women with cervical cancer and found absolutely no recall bias in her cases or controls. That makes sense because nearly all cervical cancers are caused by human papilloma virus. Janet Daling also publishes with the deniers….

The issue is the legality of induced abortion and what the frightening specter of breast cancer fifteen or twenty years later might mean. In other words, it’s scientists denying scientific data because of a political agenda.

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN, and Kelli A Culture of Life says STDs are showing an increasing resistance to antibiotic treatments: It’s a constant race with the bugs. We develop a new antibiotic, and after a while, we see the first signs of resistance appearing. Then the resistance spreads, until […]

  • A Wisconsin man has been charged with stalking after he allegedly threatened to kill his lover if she didn’t have an abortion.

True Xiong, 46, demanded she undergo the procedure when she learned she was pregnant with his child in July, according to the complaint filed Monday in La Crosse County Circuit Court.

She refused, and Xiong continued with his threats to kill her and the child, sometimes calling her two or three times a day. Xiong said he

tampered with her car and rotated her bed, an action in Hmong culture meant to bring bad luck to the woman and her child, according to the complaint.

Xiong, who is married, threatened the woman in person when he could no longer reach her by phone.

  • Americans United for Life has filed two briefs supporting the conscience rights of Hobby Lobby and Autocam against the HHS contraceptive mandate:

The briefs… demonstrate that “emergency contraception,” life-ending drugs mislabeled as “contraception,” can prevent an embryo from implanting or kill an already-implanted embryo, and that forcing employers to provide coverage for such drugs violates the fundamental freedom of conscience.

  • USA Today picked up the story of Jennifer Morbelli’s post-abortion death.
  • The Stir’s Adriana Velez is the first pro-choicer that I’ve seen attempt to comment on Morbelli’s death (quite a difference from Savita Halappanavar). A search at the RH Reality Check web site for Morbelli returns 0 results.Velez thinks one must be “a heartless ideologue” to protest the clinic whose practices led to Morbelli’s death. One wonders if she felt the same way regarding the protests after Halappanavar’s death.

Christian rock band raises money to promote abortion

A controversy began brewing in the pro-life world last week after Bryan Kemper revealed the Christian metalcore band Texas in July is currently participating in a 30-city fundraising tour in part to raise money for Sex, Etc., a website that promotes abortion, homosexuality, and premarital sex, while opposing pregnancy care centers. The Take Action Tour […]
