After each screening the director of 22Weeks and the mother portrayed in the film will be available for Q&A….
22Weeks tells the true story of a young woman locked in the bathroom of an abortion clinic after her aborted baby was born alive. It’s a film about decisions and the echoes they leave behind. The film includes the reenactment of an actual 911 call. 22Weeks confronts the outer reaches of one of the most controversial subjects of our time. It places the viewer on both sides of the spectrum and asks the chilling question, “What would you do?”
Alejandro Monteverde, director of the movie Bella, called
22Weeks “one of the most disturbing stories I’ve ever come across.”

Thanks for the info-sounds incredible.
Don’t know if you’ve reported on an upcoming documentary: “THINE EYES – A WITNESS TO THE MARCH FOR LIFE” WITH JENNIFER O’NEILL. Check out my website-I’ve got a video up about it:
http://www.futurecatholic.net
God bless you as you glorify the Lord of life & speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. I love you & I am praying for you all!
Wow, that looks like an awesome movie. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
I’ve just started a new blog that will be highlighting the dangerous advances of the secular progressive movement (pro-gay “rights”, pro-abortion, anti-religious freedoms, etc). Unfortunately, most Christians still don’t know what’s going on out there and the mainstream media certainly isn’t covering it.
We’re looking to build a solid group of social conservatives who’ll frequent our site regularly and contribute to some good discussions. I hope you’ll check us out!
If you’ll add us to your blogroll we’ll gladly add you to ours. Just drop us a comment over at our blog so that we’ll know to add you. Our blog is called Religion and Morality.
Thanks!
Honestly, before I had my baby four months ago I was completely ignorant to what abortion is. I was duped by the media like so many others. I thought is was some easy, quick procedure that I would never do…but I stopped there. Now, I am completely 100% prolife. No exceptions. My baby is precious. Worth more than all the gold in the world…but so is every other baby. It’s so incredibly devastating for mothers to throw their babies away for any reason.
I am filled with hope when I read about projects like this one. Yes, it will be hard to watch, depressing actually…but it’s necessary. People need to get their heads out of the mainstream media and wake up. We’re all being duped and most people have no idea what’s really going on. Evil is prevalent…more now than ever it seems. Keep up the good work!!!
Becca,
I love what you wrote. It was the same for me. Except I learned what I needed to learn after my abortion. Carrying your own child and watching it grow, feeling it kick, seeing it on ultrasound, and giving birth is an amazing miracle.
All of the young prochoice women will hopefully understand that one day.
God bless you, Becca!
Gotta pack for The March for Life!!

Does anyone know what ever happened to the lawsuit associated with this story? Is it still pending? Resolved? Dropped?
a VIDEO – Niece of Martin Luther King, Jr. (Alveda King) Speaks at March For Life ’08.

Thanks, Carla! The most amazing experience of my life was giving birth to my daughter.
I didn’t find anything online about the lawsuit. But I did find a report on the autopsy. It looks like all they have to go on is the pregnant woman’s word. I guess they must have dropped the lawsuit.
I am currently listening to Angele speaking about her experience on the Laura Inghram show.
Angele, thank you for speaking out and for telling your story. I know that you honor the memory of your son Rowan and the memory of all other children whose lives were taken through abortion. God bless you. I am praying for you.
It was so wonderful to meet you in person Angele!! I am so very proud of you and what you are doing.
Love,
Carla
So, does anybody here care about real, living children?
Nope, only the fake, dead kind.
Asitis,
Hi, I didnt pursue any civil chargs. I didn’t want any reward (so to speak) at the cost of Rowan’s life. (read blood money)
When the FDLE turned it’s back on filing criminal charges, my only option was a civil suit.
In hindsight, I should have pursued it and given any proceeds to various pro life organizations. At the time, I just couldn’t endure the thought of dragging my living children through two more years of abortion related trauma.
I hope that answers your question.
Angele
Amgele, thank you kindly for your response. That is a good and thoughtful reason for not pursuing the lawsuit.
It occurred to me from reading the report of the autopsy and watching the movie trailer that your case would primarily rest on your account of what happened.
Having said all that, I do want to offer you my sympathy and best wishes. I am pro-choice but that doesn’t mean that I cannot appreciate how some women might be affected by an abortion.
Hey Carla!
I loved meeting you in person too!
Thank you and all of the other amazing, amazing, amazing Operation Outcry women for holding me up through all 3 premieres at Union Station.
Your love and friendship still blows me away!
Peace,
a
Asitis,
Thank you for your kindness. I actually hope for pro choicers (women especially) to realize that if they pursue the right to “choose” then they should be able to do it safely, with actual physicians in attendance, with proper standards of care for all women.
The BAIPA is no threat to Roe v Wade. It serves a separate purpose really.
At the moment, my son, Rowan, was born; my abortion had been granted, my right to choose was preserved…and then over.
My son, as a born person, held the same rights as you or me at that very moment. Legally, this is true.
That is the overly simplistic version of the BAIPA. (Two separate people, with equal rights under the law…abortion no longer applies.)
Theres not much to argue really. The thing is…it (the BAIPA)is not being enforced.
From your perspective, perhaps it does appear that a legal case would be largely based on my word alone.
Of course, just as with the technicalities of the BAIPA…there’s more than the “short version” I mentioned above.
In actuality, there were many legal options which would have lent a fair amount of credence to our “story.”
I also believe that had we pursued the case from a civil stand point, we could have worked backwards, to unearth evidence that wopuld have normally been procedural in a criminal case.
For example, in deposition, the clinic workers might have been asked specific questions such as (oh and I am totally guessing, since I am no attorney) “Violene, did Angele, show you that her son was alive, responsive to her touch and that he turned his head to the sound of her voice?”
or…”Dr. Perper, You state on the death certificate that the child was still born. Did you witness the birth of this child?”
In depositions a lot would have been revealed. I did not understand that at the time. I was simply a grief stricken, guilt laden mother who needed to try to parent the children she had left.
If I had it to do all over, obviously, I would never have gone there.
Even if I didn’t get that particular “do over” I would have pursued the civil suit.
Today I can say this. Today, I am not wallowing in confusion and grief. I still grieve…all the time…but it is different now.
Since you are pro choice, might I ask you this?
If someone you cared for were seeking a second trimester procedure, would you want them to have a physician present? If their child was born alive, like Rowan, and they wanted him to have medical attention, would you want the clinic to heed your loved ones request for an ambulance to be calledfor her/them? Or would you prefer them to be locked in the midst of some surreal nightmare, with no help, no physician, no way out until the child was unquestionably dead and her pleas for help had become cries of grief and mourning?
I cannot fathom why anyone would want this for themselves or anyone who pursued the right to choose.
It was not safe, it was not legal..it became far more than a simple medical procedure.
I don’t presume that I can change anything by speaking the truth.
It is only my hope to let someone be spared our fate.
While I am on a ramble….
I hope that you too, want more for any human being no matter how they feel about “choice”
In reality, once I paid my fees and once I arrived at the clinic in hard labor and was ushered into that dirty room… handed a wet and sour blanket…I had no more choices… no more rights, no more than I gave Rowan.
Where is the “choice” in choice, Asitis?
I still pray for that answer. I want others to have that answer too.
You post here a lot more frequently than I do so I am sure that you know…this happens at least 500 times per year in our country Asitis, that’s more than an infanticide a day…and I will go out on a limb here and say that there are also 500 mothers who will never be the same.
(((Kel)))
Thank you! You made me cry! :)
Oh my, may I share something semi funny with you?
Firstly, know that I am a big Laura fan, okay? Secondly, I am soooouuuutttthhheeeerrrn. Delta Southern not bumpkin, southern…and yes there is a big difference. LOL
When Laura Ingraham was talking about me thinking that I would have a stillborn child…and she said stillborn a couple or so times, I did not realize she was leading up for me to say something akin too…”but no he was not still born, he was alive”
See, I just couldn’t correct Laura! I respect her. Sooo…anyway, not being accustomed to interviews….I managed to waste a fair amount of her valuable air time by not “knowing”
She was so kind to me. (Even on commercial breaks.) : )
I haven’t the nerve to listen to it yet..but I thank you for the compliment and the prayers. It means a lot to read it after I am home.
God bless you too, Kel.
Angele
PS….Did anyone catch Jill on G. Gordon Liddy? I missed it. It was aired on January 23rd, I think. You know it was awesome!!!
Angele I do think that care and hygiene conditions such as you described are unacceptable for a clinic. And yes, I think that a doctor should be present. I would think that is the case, though it seems yours the situation was exceptional.
When you say “this” happens 500 times per year. What exactly are you referring to? I know it’s not your situation of aborting a later term fetus, unattended.
Can I ask something Angele? What are the requirements in Florida to obtain an abortion at 22 weeks?
Sorry, doing too many things at once…that should read:
“And yes, I think that a doctor should be present. I would think that is in your case the situation was exceptional”.
Hey Asitis,
Long day…short answers but I promise to get back to this.
By 500 per year, I mean babies…babies born alive after labor and induction abortions.
Check out the drudge report for today.. THeres one.
Most of the time, the actual patient says nothing to the public as she is utterly traumatized by the experience.
I was not the only woman having a second trimester abortion that day…thusly, I was not the only woman without a physician present.
I don’t know what happened to the other women, I only know they had no doctor either.
I have emailed with other women who gave birth to live infants at that clinic, or in their hotel rooms, or other similar situations.
I know of the testimony of women who had their babies on the lawn of that very clinic. Why?
There was no one to let them in…or so I was told. Mind you, I was not there.
To be honest, I cannot fathom why any woman would want to make up such a thing…its not like you are saying something like, I was once engaged to Brad Pitt….My other car is a Bentley….theres nothing to gain really. Usually, just ridicule….maybe some prayers…but we can all find an easier way to aquire either, I think. (weak grin)
So yeah, it happens, its not rare…whenever my schedule permits (Im working 2 jobs, parenting, a witness in a criminal trial and a host of other things….) I will look up stories for you…cases for you.. Asitis, some of them get their necks snapped, are strangled and stabbed in the ribs with scissors too. It happens. You can google it…
Thank you for being open to listening, responding and being kind in general.
I really appreciate that. I like open minds..no one can agree on everything. :)
Oh and, I have no idea what the requirements are to have a termination at 22 weeks. All I had to do was sign and pay..is that what you mean?

Well, that’s a problem. There should be special circumstances at that stage. And there should be strict requirements for physician’s presence as well as care and hygiene standards.
Keep well Angele.
