Planned Parenthood loses request for injunction against former director Abby Johnson
I’m in Austin, TX, at the moment, preparing to speak at the Austin Coalition for Life banquet in a few. Most exciting is I’m told Abby Johnson is attending the banquet, too, and I’m very much looking forward to meeting her! Coincidentally, there’s great news about Abby this afternoon.
According to a 40 Days for Life press statement:
A district court judge denied a request for an injunction against Abby Johnson, who resigned as director of a Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast Texas abortion facility in Bryan/College Station last month. The judge also denied a similar request directed at the Coalition for Life, the local pro-life organization that started the 40 Days for Life campaign in Bryan/College Station 5 years ago.
KBTX.com adds…
A ruling has been made in the case of Abby Johnson who is the former director of PP in Bryan. PP… claimed Johnson breached a confidentiality agreement.
After working as the director for 2 years, Johnson said in early October she had a change of heart….
The temporary restraining order against Johnson was scheduled to dissolve at midnight Tuesday. District Judge J. D. Langley ruled the plaintiffs did not provide sufficient evidence that Johnson breached a confidentiality agreement concerning the identity of a physician who performs abortions at PP’s facilities.
Judge Langley also ruled the plaintiffs did not provide sufficient evidence that Johnson took patient records out of PP the day she resigned.
A request to order a temporary injunction which would’ve prevented Johnson from seeking any lawsuit until a trial or any other court action had been made was also denied.

ALL RIGHT! This is a week fr victories all the way around.
Awesomesauce! You go, Abby!
Hope you meet her, Jill!! Go Abby!
Take THAT, PP! :D
Wish I could be there tonight, but I didn’t have a babysitter.
I’m sure it was great!
Hey, Bystander, you should take all those mountains of evidence of this woman stealing patient records and violating HIPAA you’ve been blathering on and on about and rush them to Planned Parenthood as soon as you can, so they can appeal!
Classic Xalisae!
You beat me to the punch!
I will give Bystander some credit though, it seemed like on that one post he seemed genuinely concerned about Abby. I’m sure he believed that if PP was accusing Abby of stealing and copying and divulging than there must have been some evidence of said misconduct.
What he didn’t realize was that it was a total fabrication, a smear campaign designed to discredit her testimony about what really goes on in their mills.
They’re deathly afraid of being exposed as murderers, which they know, deep down, they are!
x’er,
Please let me respond for B.S.’er.
“This legal opinion is a miscarriage of justice, an abortion of the legal process.”
“This judge is an obvious anti-choice angry white christian still clinging to his god, his gun (assuming his neanderthal knuckles, calloused from dragging on the ground, can still cling to anything other than the club he uses to beat women into submission) and his archaic religious sensibilities.”
“I am woman, hear me roar/shreak shrilly/whine/whimper/impatiently tap my dainty foot on the floor and give the ‘look’!”
(All married men are fully acquainted with the ‘look’. You can sense it even when you don’t actually see it. A icey chill runs down your back and certain parts of your reproductive organs begin to shrink and retract in a primeordial and instinctive defensive response to an imminent attack.)
BS’er,
Was I close?

Must be an angry bystander somewhere…
Welcome, Abby! I hope and pray this encourages more PP workers to get out of it all and tell their story.
Dangit you people all beat me to the punch!
Well, a major yippee! Good for Ms. Johnson, for standing her ground and refusing to be intimidated! XD
Keep talking and spreading the TRUTH! :)
Actually, I think Abby has pulled off one of the greatest revenge stunts in history. Co workers and former clients have come forward with evidence casting great doubt on the sonogram story, and her facebook postings indicate great anger against PP for threatening her with termination, with no mention of her “conversion”.
The key is no one in the religious far right will ever fact-check or question someone they decided to make a hero, and she will go from a $40,000 a year job to probably $4 million a year, with book deals and speaking engagements. Palin or Prejean will get the money if Abby doesn’t, so why not go for it?
Bystander, 7:38…in other words,
The key is no one in the religious far right will ever fact-check or question someone they decided to make a hero
I find the fact that anyone who supports Obama can say this with a straight face very amusing.
Oh did i say supports…I meant idolizes/worships.
The key is no one in the religious far right will ever fact-check or question someone they decided to make a hero
Then you should definitely be looking at Planned Parenthood since the courts fact checked their claims and found them lacking in evidence.
Oh and by the way, Bystander…how about substantiating your claims about Abby’s facebook postings?
The key is no one in the religious far right will ever fact-check or question someone they decided to make a hero…

BS’er,
I know it was kind of sublte so it might have escaped your keen eye and sharp intellect, but a judge did ‘fact check’ the now proven false accusations made by the Dead Babies R Us folks at PP and he determined the facts in evidence did NOT support the charges.
Now if ms. Johnson and/or the folks at ’40 days’ have a mind to I suppose they could sue PP for slander and that would produce some very interesting information during the discovery process.
You are only interested in facts that support your own bigotry.

Looking at Abbey, I can only imagine how awesome it would have been had Dr. Tiller converted. He was a churh goer too. I suspect pro´choicers would have said the same things.
– Dr. Tiller was actually a prolife imposter who snuck into his position to discredit abortion.
– Dr. Tiller was seen copying files, ect
– Anything to have smeared his name.
They would say the same things if PP CEO converted.
It has happenned and it will happen again.
All prolifers want is the conversion of directeurs, CEOs, abortionists, ect. More and more as I read these people present point of views, I realise how much of a miracle these conversions actually are.
I will pray and fast in the next 40 days for Morgentalers conversion.
I wonder what the minimum honorarium is for Slick
Willy to grace a crowd of adoring liberals with his slimey presence.
I know it’s different when liberals do it cause the only have the very best intentions and they donate all the honorarium to liberal humanist concerns.
It will interesting to review B.O.’s 2009 tax return and see where he contributes the honorarium from the Nobel Peace Prize.
You can bet your ‘hope and spare change’ it will not go to the Union Gospel Mission or Toys for Tots.

Tax return? Think he’ll seal that, too.
Praise Jesus for vindicating Abby. We will continue to pray for her and her family’s protection. Like the sign says:
PLANNED PARENTHOOD LIES TO YOU!
Really?
Like Sarah Palin would say “You Betcha!”
Remember BHO saying to the entire world. “Federal funding for abortion is not in the healthcare bill”?
The appropriate response by Joe Wilson about that deceptive statement. “YOU LIE!
Guess what folks when the Stupak-Pitts Amendment passed we found out what we prolifers knew all along.
THEY ALL LIE!
We need more people like Abby. Good for her.
“Co workers and former clients have come forward with evidence casting great doubt on the sonogram story”…
Again, where the beef? Why didnt these come out earlier?
Bystander,
Perhaps you should let District Judge Langley know that the religious far right is behind all this trickery. Talk about the potential book deals and money, too. Oh, and make sure you reference Sarah Palin and Carrie Prejean like you were so eager to do here. I’m sure you’ll be taken reeeaaaal seriously.
“fact-check”
This, from someone who seems to get the vast majority of their “facts” from Media Matters, which has been proven to outright lie and insinuate falsehoods time and time and time again.
You should be a comedy writer, BS’er.
Thank you everyone for all of your support and prayers! I think it is great that so many pro-abortion minded individuals come to this site and take the time to read through the stories and comments! You know what that tells me? That tells me that they may not be so steadfast in their beliefs if they feel that they have to constantly defend them. Praise God! Let’s all pray that their eyes and hearts be opened to the injustice of abortion through this wonderful website!!
Blessings,
Abby
Abby, I really like you! :)
Welcome, Abby. Sorry I didn’t notice the subject of the article posting here earlier! You give me hope for the future.
