Ben Nelson’s Christmas gift to fellow Nebraskan LeRoy Carhart
Infamous late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart operates his dump of a chop shop in Sen. Ben Nelson’s home state of Nebraska.
So when pro-life traitor Nelson voted for socialized healthcare the other day, which included his “compromise” authorizing public funding for abortion, he was gifting one of his fellow Cornhuskers, as the Center for Bioethical Reform graphically shows (click to enlarge)…
Operation Rescue has announced it is sending a huge Truth Truck to Nelson’s home “to help him celebrate Christmas.”
Yes, Merry Christmas, Senator Nelson.
Looking at that murdered child, perhaps I’ve been wrong about personhood being intrinsic. Carhart and Nelson just don’t seem to meet the criteria.
It is obvious that many politicians, especially those that label themselves Democrats are able to compartmentalize the results and effects of their lawmaking.
Or…..they are truly evil people. How, tell me how could Nelson claim to be pro-life and support a bill that funds abortion? It is beyond comprehension?
Our country and its leaders are not unlike what happened in Rome just prior to its downfall. I know that sounds like a cliche, however, it becomes more and more obvious everyday that our country is headed for a great disaster. We have forgotten 9/11, we forget about Iran and what it is planning on doing to Israel, and we are so focused on our money that we forget about what truly is important.
The solution is for all of us pro-lifers and believers to not speak out but to roar in unison to bring this Tower of Jericho down, i.e., Washington, D.C. However, based on past performance, I don’t think that is going to happen.
Come Lord Jesus.
The 12 Days of Christmas” Christmas Carol.
What do leaping lords, French hens, swimming swans, and especially the partridge who won’t come out of the pear tree have to do with Christmas?
According to a recent email I rec’d, apparently, from 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember. (This is the first I’ve heard of it, so it’s obviously hidden from adults—lol)
-The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.
-Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.
-Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.
-The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.
-The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.
-The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.
-Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit–Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.
-The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.
-Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit–Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.
-The ten lords a-leaping were the ten commandments.
-The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.
-The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles’ Creed.
Merry (Twelve Days of) Christmas Everyone!
I hope Nelson’s conscience is SEARED and I hope that he can’t sleep! I hope he is just MISERABLE over Christmas knowing that children will die because of him!
An acquaintance of one of my friends is going for an abortion TOMORROW. Can you imagine killing your kid on CHRISTMAS EVE???? Supposedly the baby is not growing correctly and the pregnancy supposedly will not reach term naturally…so say the doctors who ya know, aren’t always right! This girl is ten weeks pregnant.UGH! Does no one have any compassion any more? Now even Christmas means nothing and killing your kid during the holiday Kid’s love is no big deal!
Sorry, hisman, but your cute story was debunked by Snopes. I’d post a link but it probably wouldn’t be accepted. You can check it out yourself at snopes.com if you’d like.
Yes, the Snopes link can be found here
But even if historically, this origins of this tale has been debuunked, symbolicly it provides us with a good reminder of the true reason and meaning for Christmas: The Birth of Jesus Christ!
I’ve heard that 12 Days of Christmas thing too and I LOVE it. I don’t care if its been “Debunked” by Snopes, it makes a LOT of sense. In fact, 12 days would end right around the Epiphany. ;)
Oh and I am disgusted by the Carhart will benefit thing. UGH!
To Sydney: Have you tried talking to this friend of your friend? To try to counsel her to choose life? To get a second, or even a third opinion? How about she waits until after Christmas, just so she won’t have that horrible memory for the rest of her life. I would be willing to counsel her if your friend’s acquaintance would be willing to talk to me. It’s always worth a try, isn’t it? Some of us have to live with that kind of mistake for the rest of our lives, and now do everything in our power to try to counsel women for life, as women don’t know the impact on their lives at the time of that bad choice and sometimes are pressured horribly by other people to have the abortion.
Sydney M.,
I pray that the woman you are referring to does not go for the abortion tomorrow. She needs to get a second opinion about the growth of her baby in her womb. I’m praying for a Christmas miracle.
Debbie, I didn’t see your comment before posting. I agree with you!
Sydney, my heart goes out to your friend and I hope they find the courage to choose life for themselves and their baby. I’d recommend offering to share some resources with them, specifically “Be Not Afraid“. BNA is a website for parents facing a poor prenatal diagnosis and has shared experiences and resources for continuing a pregnancy despite a poor prenatal diagnosis. Also, you might share, “Waiting with Love” website, which is
for parents who choose to continue a pregnancy knowing their unborn baby will die before or shortly after birth and for families who learn their newborn will die. All the best, Rachael C.
“So when pro-life traitor Nelson voted for socialized healthcare the other day, which included his “compromise” authorizing public funding for abortion””
Umm..there has been public funding for abortion for many years now, so “authorizing public funding for abortion” is nothing new.
In fact, the U.S. government has been funding, with the support of most so-called pro-lifers, the murders of 160 000 babies conceived in rape, incest, or for risk to the health/life of the mother, for at least 37 years now. Or don’t those babies’ lives count?
Oh, Rachael, those websites are absolutely heartbreaking…. thank you for posting them….
:(…
Okay this is the latest on this girl. She is 18 and does not know who the father is (there is a choice of four men). She has tested positive for STD’s and just finished her pills to cure that. She lives a fast life and for an 18 year old looks haggard and rundown. She is estranged from her parents and living on the couch of a relative. I did mention all the facts of prenatal life (heart beating etc…) and she had already decided to keep the baby.
Then I guess they said after an ultrasound that the baby was not growing properly and it was unlikely the baby would survive to term…so this always gets me, since the baby might DIE lets KILL it FIRST! HUH?
She is so naive and just went along with everything the doctors told her, that for her HEALTH she should go to the hospital and have the baby sucked out (even though the baby at this point was alive). She was very sad. I felt bad for her. She did cry and I knew she didn’t want to do this. Well, another ultrasound today or yesterday revealed the little one has passed naturally. There was no heartbeat. So now they are waiting to see if she passes the baby naturally or if not soon, they will do a D&C which she is extremely nervous about.
I don’t really know this girl that well. I have only met her twice. But she was extremely open to me about what was going on in her life like she just desperately wanted someone to talk to and someone to listen to her and she latched onto my son. She didn’t want to let him go all night! I don’t know if I will ever see this girl again but pray for her if you would!
Her name is Danielle.
Sydney, I will pray for her. Thank you for the update. That is such a sad story. She sounds like she’s starving for someone to just be a friend to her and pay attention to her. You should direct her to a Christian counselor or a shelter or somewhere where she can be ministered to and helped.
Sydney M. I will pray for Danielle as well. God bless you.
