Post-abortive porn star attempts suicide
For backdrop read my 2-24 post, “Abortion as birth control: Porn star kills 4th baby; may have been Sheen’s.”
This is such a tragedy. From Pop Eater today:
[Charlie] Sheen’s porn star pal Kacey Jordan, with whom he allegedly partied during the January binge that culminated in a trip to the hospital, began tweeting messages that indicated a very disturbed mental state prior to her admission at Chicago’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital today, according to RadarOnline.com.
Jordan, whose real name is Courtney Roskop, wrote, “I just snorted a fat line,” followed by admissions “i’ve over done it… the more i do…i keep passing out… i just pray i wake up each time” and “i keep fainting. i guess i’ll have to do more and see what that does.”
The XXX star, who had an abortion last month after allegedly becoming pregnant with Sheen’s child, wrote, “i took a bunch of pills…drank a hotel size bottle of jack… stumbled to the bathroom to weigh myself………86 lbs,” following which hotel staff allegedly raided her room.
As to her reasons for the disturbing behavior, Jordan described, “those 16 hours i was with charlie sheen… messed me up… i can’t get that image out of my head… i think i keep trying to feel his pain.”
According to TMZ, when police arrived on the scene, Jordan was surrounded by pill bottles and broken glass and even tried to cut herself with a corkscrew when authorities tried to speak to her about her seemingly suicidal messages.
Despite her brush with death, Jordan seemed to be back to her old, er, tricks, soon enough, tweeting, “i will be better in no time…I’m Soooo bored in this hospital bed! I wanna have someone save me… And kpuff doesn’t have underwear?!!”

Kacey Jordan was hospitalized Friday for severe dehydration and alcohol poisoning, but headed back out on the Chicago party circuit Saturday afternoon as evidenced by a series of TwitPics.

You don’t understand prostitutes (which is what a porn “star” is in reality—someone who gets paid to have sex with a stranger and then have the experience sold in perpetuity).
Yes, there is an underlying pathology, usually physical and sexual abuse as a child. But drug and alcohol abuse are no mere symptoms (i.e. a psychological runny nose). They point to a deeper causal issue, but also become part of the pathology itself by altering the anatomic structure and biochemical functioning of the brain. They become, of themselves, a source of loathing and anxiety, setting up the next round of binging and suicidal ideation.
In seven years of working with prostitutes, I knew few who didn’t have abortions, STD’s and substance abuse in their backgrounds. All were abused as children.
Eventually, the substance abuse becomes THE pathological issue in their lives, and the one that will kill them. This is not a runny nose.
BTW, I would NEVER pick a public quarrel with Carla. She’s too smart, and I’d get my clock cleaned.

Several in the that forum talked about Borderline Personality Disorder (Kacey did exhibit “cutting” with cuts and abrasions on her arms and wrists). But, the psychological eval will be address a possible diagnosis.
Courtney’s (aka Kacey) mom just turned 16 years old when Kacey was born. Her mom is only 39, and Kacey turns 23 in two weeks (28th). She was out on her own at age 17 (I recall reading she had been breaking into her mom’s wine/liquor and finally got kicked out).
It sounds like her mom’s parents helped raise her early on, but her dad may have taken custody at age 4. She’s closest to her mom now, and 17 year old sister. After the Charlie Sheen scandal, negative posts at her home paper in Oregan started coming in. In response, a poster identifying herself as Courtney’s step-mom posted the following:
“As step-mom to Courtney, I would just like to say that Courtney/Kacey grew up in my house which was a very normal/stable environment. Her dad had custody of her since she was 4, and he did a damn good job of raising her. Courtney attended church, got good grades, was very close with family members, etc. We are simple simon people from Salem, Oregon and we couldn’t have done anything better or different in the way we raised Courtney. Her father and I have a son who is a 4.0 student in middle school this year. We are great parents!! Not perfect, but we do our best!! Of coure we are not proud of decisions that Courtney is making, but she is her own person and is now an adult. Some things you just don’t have control over — no matter how good of a parent you are!”

This is not Kacey’s first suicide attempt. In January of this year while in Las Vegas, the following was reported:

Gerard makes an excellent point about chemical abuse at the stage Kacey happens to be at. Kacey is an admitted alcoholic. She pees blood when she’s been on a binge. She was recently excited that she went three weeks without drinking (“to let my kidney infection from drinking heal”)….only to return to hitting the bottle hard again.

But if the baby wasn’t Sheen’s Jordan says it could also have been another A-list star’s.

“I think it might have been too soon to be Charlie’s baby, but you never know. I get pregnant very easily,” Kacey, who has had three previous abortions, told Radaronline.
“I had a sugar daddy in New Jersey for 5 months, he bought me everything but then, he put the lockdown on me and I felt like I couldn’t do anything, and he was in control. You know, you get used to that lifestyle, then you end up having to do everything he says so you can keep it. I want to make my own money so I have freedom.

Ed and Frebus are right on. Your prayers are wonderfully written from the heart – clearly coming from those who love Christ. Both of you included asking God to bring the right people, health professionals, etc. to help her begin (finally!) to go the right way.
One final point: It’s hard to tell which issue is eating at Kacey the most (Charlie Sheen, lack of self-respect, the past four abortions, etc.). But, there are many examples of Kacey calling what was in her womb a “baby” (Janet Stanek made note of this in her first article about Kacey’s abortion). Here’s another example not yet mentioned:

I would think that her consistency in realizing who was being killed during her abortions would eventually bubble to the surface. Her latest abortion was only 1 month ago…so that could be the trigger which finally stirred her conscience (plus, her abortion was made public allowing pro-life opinions to be made directly about her situation, soul, and baby).
I hope I didn’t belabor the details. I thought I’d share information that I’ve gleened since the time of Kacey’s debacle with Charlie Sheen. It may help everyone gain more insight into where Courtney is coming from.

So, given what has transpired with this young woman, and the fact that she (apparently) is right back into the same destructive patterns, what does the future hold for her ? Don’t porn stars have relatively short careers? Everything about her and her situation is just beyond tragic, but I question if she really wants anything better for herself. As I said in a previous comment, Kacey Jordan’s abortion seems peculiarly unnecessary. She might have been pregnant, she says, by either Charlie Sheen or another A-list celebrity. Why couldn’t she and Sheen or the other man have gotten married? She could have given birth and a family could have started. Kacey has many of the characteristics men prize in wives: she is sexually skilled, very pretty, and has an extroverted and outgoing personality.

This story reminds me of a quote I read years ago. A young lady & her boyfriend had been doing the all too typical teenage & college thing of partying. When she became pregnant, they & those around them believed they were in no position to take care of a baby. Everyone believed thatto even consider having a baby would require the couple being perfectly positioned…timing, relationship, finances, behaviors, etc… They decided to abort. Afterwards, their behavior spiraled out of control. Now, those of us with long time involvement with pro-life work know that abortion can often lead to PASS & substance abuse as a way to numb the pain or “forget” the baby and/or abortion. This girl wrote, however, “What was once fun and games became almost an obligation because we felt like we killed our baby for the privilege of living it up and if we cleaned up our acts, it would mean our baby died in vain.”
Would they have cleaned up their acts if they had someone to clean their acts up FOR? What a profound statement & deep insight into the heart & mind of those who choose abortion.
Pray for this Courtney. She is hurting so deeply that only the Master can reach in & heal her.

That seems more like what should be icing on the cake for most guys. But maybe I’m wrong. I think there’s more to a woman than being sexually skilled, attractive and a good personality. Those qualities help and lead to initial attraction but if that’s all they’re looking for they will probably be disappointed.
I’ve never been an adult film actress myself, but as many post abortive women will tell you, my friends had only one piece of advice during the aftermath: “have another drink”
Now, my friends at the time probably had no idea how traumatic the experience is, nor did they know about the abrupt hormonal changes and the post-partum-depression like symptoms that come with those changes.
Kacey is about the same age my child would have been. 1/3 of her peers were dead before birth, not by disease, not by accident, but by intentional homicide. Abortion is a plague. Maybe there are a lot of women who would experience mental illness without having had an abortion. But really, is abortion theraputic for them? I think not. Many people I know will catch a spider in a cup and release it outside rather than crush it underfoot. If a person has that much compassion for a bug, how can you expect them not to hurt deep inside after paying someone to kill a tiny human being?

Although some reports indicated that Jordan’s suicidal messages on Twitter were only a publicity stunt, Shelley Lubben is certain that she’s not only trying to get people’s attention but also desperately asking for help.
“She’s online all the time crying out for help. We need to help her, we need to get her out of that situation and get her to a safe place.”
When the Chicago police arrived at Jordan’s hotel room on Monday, they found her with prescription pill bottles, broken glass and alcohol. They also found cuts and scrapes on her wrists and arms. To Lubben, none of this is surprising.
The ex-porn star sincerely wants Jordan to be aware that she “has been put in the Hollywood scene because she’s connected to Charlie Sheen, she had an abortion just recently, she’s traumatized, [and] she needs help.”
“I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, I was really sick, mentally and emotionally from my time in the porn industry. All the porn stars are like this,” she told CP.
She added, “The porn industry tries to hide [it].”
“It’s common for porn stars to get abortions, it’s very common for them to have stress disorder,” she explained. “And I know because not only was I there, but now I have a non-profit organization called Pink Cross Foundation that helps women and men out of porn who had substance abuse problems or some kind of mental disorder.”
“She just had an abortion so her female hormones are all crazy right now. She needs to be taken out of the environment very quickly and be put into safety where a professional needs to reach out to her,” Lubben urged.
“People like Kacey Jordan come in and out all the time and some of them commit suicide. She’s lucky to be alive.”
Lubben, a follower of Christ, has worked on years of research trying to bring down the porn industry from the pedestal.
According to her book, The Truth Behind the Fantasy of Porn, she notes that a porn star dies every month and that porn should be considered sex trafficking due to the high demand and requests for the porn stars.
In her own testimony, she said, “Jesus Christ gets all the glory. I wouldn’t be alive if he didn’t saved me. We need to be praying for them, we need to reach out to them.”

This girls problems and pain started long before she ever had an abortion. In fact this is a great example of how being a parent at 16 can have huge consiquences for both mother and child, and can lead to even more abortions futher down the road.

You’re basically saying that Kacey should be dead. You are in a sense saying she should commit suicide, since her mom didn’t murder her in the womb earlier. Not all children of teens end up in situations like Kacey. Likewise, Kacey is a child of God who deserves the same human dignity that you do. Her lifebook isn’t finished. Neither are the lifebooks of babies’ who are currently in their mothers’ wombs….including the wombs of teen mothers.
You proaborts will use any spurious excuse you can find to promote death. A young women is in need of help, and your culture-of-death mentality has only contributed to her condition (Like porn, do ya?). You take a difficult situation of a young woman, hit her over the head with it and say she should be dead. Again, you are implicitly saying she should kill herself, since her mom didn’t do the evil deed 23 years earlier. What love, what charity towards another child of God (by ‘God’ I mean ‘God’…not ‘you’ who thinks he can decide whose life is worth living, and whose life is not worth living).

I am saying that this is a good example of what a 16yo single parent can offer a child in the way of guidance and parenting. You would feel good about 4 little children being raised by this single parent in the life style she is living? I am not saying she should be dead, I am saying this is a perfect example of why abortion was made legal in the first place over 40 years ago. Some people should not be parents at the place they are within their lives or sometimes ever. Had this girl not had 4 abortions this story would be even more tragic.
Please stop with the “culture of life vs. the culture of death” self-righteous stuff. If your culture of life is so wonderful and god’s love is so widespread then where was your culture and god’s love and protection of the victims of the latest 20 priests in one city to be found living with the sin of pedophilia every single day for years while preaching righteousness to their church congregation. I am not suprised by the callous attitude of the so-called pro-choicers. All they can say for themselves is that she was disturbed before the abortion and that this young woman herself should have been aborted by her own mother. I’m absolutely underwhelmed by the compassion. No wonder their side is losing.
Ninek – have you looked into adoption? It is not as great of an option as you make it out to be. Have you ever spent time with the kids from the Dave Thomas Foundation? Their stories are sad and bleak. As anyone who knows anything about adoption will tell you there is a very small window for a child to be adopted, after they get to be over 5yo their chances of being adopted drop dramatically. Most spend their entire childhood in intuitions hoping to be adopted. I have a close friend who made a joint decision with his girlfriend in high school to give their baby up for adoption. They picked out the parents themselves and everything went just fine until the child was old enough to notice she was the only redhead in the family. It just went downhill from there, she could not accept the new parents “the only ones she had known her whole life” as her parents and she resented her birth parents for giving her up. Now she has nothing to do with any of them and the birth mother was in such a bad place when this all came to light that she couldn’t deal with the guilt of giving up her child so she became an alcoholic and died in a car wreck.

Biggz, if a child is aborted that means they have only lived for a few weeks and are suddenly ripped apart or burned with chemicals. They struggle to survive while being pulled out against their will, they didn’t have a chance. Don’t you think that is an even sadder story.

By the way, granted the child was in an unfortunate situation, but who says she would rather be dead? Any resentment and anger she has she can work through it and become a better person from it, as many in these situations have. As long as you’re alive there’s a chance for things to get better but not if you are aborted.
You mean aborted fetuses feel no pain. Aborted fetuses never learn to cry. Aborted fetuses never how it feels to go hungry or die of dysentery? Aborted fetuses never get beaten by abusive, substance dependant parents. You are right they are spared all that pain and misery. How can that not be compassionate? As for me well your right my life has been a rollercoaster of pain and happiness, but I have not one but two parents who wanted to be parents and gave me all the guidance and parenting a child needs. Once you make “birth” the random classification scheme for when life is worth saving, you begin the slippery slope for other random classification schemes (eldery, mentally disabled, etc). Biggz, if you’re obese or have an IQ below a random threshold, you may be put down someday. Anythings possible once random designations are permitted for killing innocents.
You must admit, not even prochoicers agree on which random classifcation scheme is universal (“viability”, “when can feel pain”, “sentient”, “third trimester”, “birth”, etc.).

BIGGZ… maybe if she had had those 4 children she wouldn’t BE IN PORN. Did that thought ever cross your mind? I know many stories of parents going the wrong way but once their children were born they straightened up and credit their kids with saving their lives. I saw it in my own friend who stopped her drinking and partying and accumulating debt (this all happened after a coerced abortion) when she had her second unplanned pregnancy but this time had the baby. She credits her daughter with saving her life.

Even if children suffer – those difficulties sometimes makes us stronger – more able to empathize, more able to help others and see others in pain. I know for sure that my past difficulties are my greatest teachers.
In the end – why is the answer always abortion from the pro-abort crowd? Why not have creativity in helping others out in their difficulty? Just yesterday I took a young woman shopping for clothes, since she is expecting her baby to be born in July. We had a great time shopping. To make the $ go farther – we went to Goodwill and got her a bunch of things.
She grew up in a large family, and they had to really watch what they were doing to help the whole family. She was a giddy as a kid when we went shopping. She got a whole shopping cart full – of day clothes and pj’s, tops and bottoms and she told me she never did this before — ever. And it will make her life easier and herself more comfortable knowing she had proper clothes to wear and would be comfortable.
So we did not give her the solution to abort her baby – we addressed what she needed – clothes. And when she needed furniture for her family – we did that. When her sister called us to ask for a crib, stroller and car seat – we are doing that.
Coming up with the solution is possible. But when the only perceived answer is abortion – – then creativity, loving and living is terminated. No real solutions there.

Mother Gets to Keep Both Twins After Choosing Only One
Doctors at Swedish Medical Center told Shannon and Mike Gimbel that they needed to terminate one of the twin girls they were expecting, or both would die. The twins had been diagnosed with twin-to-twin syndrome, or TTTS, a condition in which the two are connected by blood vessels and one twin literally drains the life out of the other. Left untreated, there is an 80 to 90 percent chance that one or both will die.
As Shannon and Mike struggled to come to terms with the suggestion to terminate the weaker baby, their physician, Dr. Kent Heyborne, approached them with another option. He’d made contact with a team of Utah surgeons who could perform laser surgery in the womb to cauterize the blood vessels that were connecting, and slowly killing, the twins. The surgery was successful, and both girls, Reese and McKenna Gimbel, were delivered at Swedish Medical Center two months later.
So rushing to offer abortion as the only solution to tough problems would have resulted in a very different outcome. Creativity and love are the key.

Indy woman, 34, faces murder, feticide charges

An Indianapolis woman who admitted to eating rat poison near the end of her pregnancy is facing a murder charge for the death of her baby.
Bei Bei Shuai, 34, was arrested Monday and faces charges of murder and attempted feticide. She’s scheduled to appear in Marion Superior Court for an initial hearing Wednesday morning.
Shuai gave birth to a daughter, Angel, on Dec. 31 via Cesarean section. Angel was put on life support but eventually was removed because doctors determined they couldn’t help her.
She died Jan. 3 from bleeding in her brain, which was caused by the chemicals in the rat poison her mother ingested.
One of Shuai’s friends, who lives in Anderson, discovered her in her car Dec. 23 at a Meijer gas station in Anderson.
He noticed she looked ill and suggested that Shuai go to his house so his wife could help her, according to court documents.
Shuai later confessed that she ate rat poison at her Indianapolis apartment. She was trying to kill herself because her boyfriend left her, according to court documents.
Her friends took her to St. John’s in Anderson and she later was moved to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
When police searched Shuai’s apartment, they found an open packet of rat poison, as well as pellets on the floor and in a vacuum canister, according to court documents.
So the 34-year-old woman was pregnant….took rat poison while pregnant…..then gave birth by cesarian…..after born, baby girl dies from rat poison taken by mother when pregnant.
Charges: Murder and Attempted Fetacide.
Hmmmmmmmmmm………think that one through…………in light of legal abortion……..and in light of what would have happened if baby died from intentional rat poisoning while in utero.
This case will be interesting to follow.
