Prospective GOP presidential candidate reminds of Obama’s pro-infanticide record
Speaking to a gathering of conservatives… [Haley] Barbour grew emotional when he touted Mississippi’s top rating from Americans United for Life and spotlighted a law enacted early in his 1st term as governor that required doctors to do everything possible to save a fetus that survives an unsuccessful abortion.
A bit choked up, Barbour said he never would have predicted at the time how important the law would be to a future White House campaign.
“Barack Obama fought such a law, and defeated such a law, in Illinois,” Barbour said.
“After an abortion in Chicago,” he said, pausing to collect himself, “the medical personnel are not able to save the life of a child. To me that’s inexplicable. And we changed the law in MS so that could never happen in our state.”

Quick comment on that illustration that pops up from time to time. It is so powerful! The glances between God and His little creation, plus their ’almost’ finger touch is very endearing.
Quick comment too about my idiot state IL and BHO - yep, so much to be proud of. (Sarcasm)

Funny how Jill Stanek was part and parcel of that whole Born Alive broo-ha-ha.
You’ve come a long way, baby.

It’s bad enough the abortion tolerators have so little imagination that they can’t recognize the humanity of soon-to-be-born babies. But they can’t even bring themselves to oppose a second attempt on their lives when they are born.
It reminds me of the famous line spoken by Jimmy Durante in the broadway and movie musical Jumbo. When the circus is foreclosed and their assets are being taken away, a cop approaches the Durante character trying to sneak away with Jumbo and asks: “Where are you going with that elephant?” And he says: “Elephant? What elephant?”
How can so many be saying: “Baby? What baby?”

So proud that Haley Barbour is my governor. So, so proud. I hope and pray he’s my president one day, too.

Great for Haley…now if only we could kick Mississippi out of the union – we’d all be better off!

Yeah, EGOP, Mississippi has a lousy history with civil rights. But giving babies just a little help in avoiding a second murder attempt is both civil and right.

Ex-RINO,
Only if we’d all are the citizens of Mississippi.
If Mississippi were no longer a part of the union, then b o would no longer be their president and they would not be subject to obama hellth scare, and the petroleum reserves, both on shore and off shore, could be developed, not only the benefit of Mississippi, but their neighbors as well and the citizens of Mississippi would not be responsible for the trillions of dollars of federal debt democRATs are accumulating.
You are aware that Mississippi is NOT all caucasian or all rebublican or all conservative.
There are a good number of progressive/liberal/democRATs who are also citizens of Mississippi.
Or maybe, Ex-RINO you are confused as ususal and simply fat fingered a few keys.
Maybe you meant to type ‘Massachussetts’.

I figured the conservatives would love getting rid of the state – they are a financial leach on the union – their education stinks – their healthcare system stinks. I mean, good move by Haley there, but next step is to make some progress with the rest of his voters.

Ex-RINO,
It is your mob that attempts to solve social problems by getting rid of people.
The only people conservatives want to get rid of are the people who are in this country illegally and we don’t want to kill them.
We just want them to return to the country of their birth.
You know, people who are in this country illegally, like say… b o.

I agree with EX GOP’s point that the state has lots of problems (it has one of the highest rates of childhood poverty in the country, for example) and a lousy civil rights history, but I grew up in New York State and PA, and believe me, there are plenty of racist white folks up here, including Philadelphia.
I recently spent some time in the south (Clearwater, Florida) and loved it. The people are much friendlier down there. I read that many black people are moving back down south and I wouldn’t mind joining them. Unfortunately I didn’t win the Mega Millions but there s a big Powerball jackpot on Wednesday. Hey, ya never know!
Mississippi currently has the fastest increasing rate of interracial marriage and a fair amount of LGBt couples/families. Now who’d have thunk it?
