You know something, it’s just an experience that it’s just…it’s hard to put into words. It’s just how elated you are, how happy you are to see your own child give birth to another child.

I can’t imagine what this grandfather is going through and has gone through, knowing the evidence against his daughter. :( Heartbreaking.
This trial is going to be gut-wrenching.
The defense has put out the theory that George molested Casey when she was little, which “taught” her to be a pathological liar.
Not a good way to start your day…
They did the same thing during the Susan Smith trial. How is that any kind of defense? Like the jury is supposed to say “Awww…she was molested as a child, well that makes it OKAY that she killed her child, then.” ????
That has absolutely nothing to do with anything. I was molested as a child, and my child is still alive.
Casey Anthony had wanted to put Caylee up for adoption when she was pregnant. Her mother wouldn’t let her because she thought it would “straighten her out”. This family is a disgusting train wreck. If Casey had just stuck to her guns, that little girl would be alive right now. How tragic.
Crazy trial, what with the claims of the defense. Too bad the parents couldn’t see the falsehoods that Casey was banking on.
What they’re trying to do may be the defense’s best option, in the eyes of the lead counsel, but that doesn’t say much for Casey’s chances of being acquitted. She’d been searching the internet for information about “how to make chloroform” and “neck breaking” and there were traces of chloroform in the trunk of Casey’s car. Circumstantial, but somewhat damning nonetheless.
Then there are the pictures of Casey after the time that Caylee supposedly drowned, and before the cops were notified. Casey was doing the wild-party-girl let’s fire it up if one drink is good then ten is great ooh I’m gonna snuggle with this shirtless guy thing to the max. Come on….
Don’t forget the heart stickers, Doug. They found heart-shaped adhesive residue on the tape covering Caylee’s mouth matching a sticker sheet that Casey had used that was found in the home.
I don’t believe a single word that comes out of that Woman’s mouth. She lied over and over and over and over again. Her father already dealt with the death of his grandchild. His wife is also at fault for using the child as a means of “straightening out” their daughter.
My stepmom convinced my stepsister to have a child she wasn’t ready for, and she ended up getting addicted to cocaine, neglecting my niece, having her removed from her custody, and then getting knocked up again.
I love my niece and nephew, but I’ve seen firsthand how coercing someone into having children they don’t want works out. NOT WELL.

I agree, Xalisae. Going back months ago to when the tapes of Casey talking to her mom and dad were seen, it was just plain oh-so obvious to me that she was totally lying. Her dad was a cop, and other than him simply discarding everything in an effort to line up with the ludicrous claims of the defense, he had to know the deal.
So now, without trying to argue, I guess we can agree, that, no matter what, it’s one sad situation.
