I’m surmising this also means Planned Parenthood supports aborting puppies. Maybe it even plans to get into the puppy grinding biz for extra cash now that it faces losing our forced donations.
Sad to say I know this thought would horrify pro-abortion sensibilities when aborting babies doesn’t. As we know, they actually fight for the latter. Worse, I know the thought of yanking apart late-term puppies limb from limb without anesthesia would absolutely enrage them, when doing the same to late-term babies doesn’t. As we know, they actually fight for the latter.
So never mind. PP would really lose the PR war if it began aborting all those “cuteness overloaded” pets. Even if aborting babies doesn’t turn people off, PP knows aborting puppies and kittens would.
Oh, I see boy dogs also support Planned Parenthood…
But of course. Pro-choice girl dogs are letting the boys know they’re in heat but not to worry, they’ll clean up any messes.
I love this one. Pro-aborts can’t stand when we call human aborting facilities “abortion mills,” but they freely call animal breeding facilities “mills” and those who make it out alive “survivors”…

Jer, we already know Planned Parenthood specializes in 1) aborting those who can’t speak for themselves, and 2) coerced abortions. Aborting pets would be right up PP’s alley.
They already do puppy/kitten/pet abortions if an animal is pregnant when they go to have them spayed. I think the real message here is the obvious esteem the pro-choice has for animals over their own human children. Sad.
Perhaps Planned Parenthood REALLY IS on the path of offering pet adoptions for post-abortive mothers.

I doubt that the pets have any say so as to what the prodeathers choose to do with the doggie remains of those that they choose to discard. It’s all about their choice. And it’s the same situation with pets ~ they choose to breed what they want and kill the rest ~ again, all about their choice.
I have two great and loving dogs that we adopted from the dog pound and it was our choice to do. For the prodeath/choice who need to compare themselves to dogs is a bit much as to be prolife, you defend life at all stages and both pets and babies count on us to defend such.
We’re praying for conversion for all who are prodeath and praying all who’ve had an abortion will get healing and be able to forgive themselves.

Yes, it is sad to see some people care more about whales, chimps, fish, etc., more than their own unborn children.
I do think, however, that cats are prolife. They sure to like to have lots of kittens!
So many celebrities are willing to jump on the animal lover/advocate bandwagon, yet where are the celebrity CHILD advocates? They do commercials for STARVING children in Africa, but what about abused/neglected children HERE. No, they’re ready to side with PP to just ELIMINATE those children before they’re born.
I would guess dogs would be Pro-Life too! African wild dogs often feed the sick and old before the healthy eat. The closest thing I can think of to Pro-Choice in mammals is how rats and hamsters eat their babies if you hold them. Could we get a picture of a rat eating its babies with a “I stand with Planned Parenthood” shirt?

Well, I can see we prolifers are right after all. “Planned Parenthood has definitely gone to the dogs” (literally, figuatively and symbolically). The human hound dogs are so happy to chant their slogan “I LOVE PRO-CHOICE WOMEN”. Child predators love PP, where else can you go and get rid of the evidence of your crime with no questions asked not even a parental notification is needed in many states like Illinois where the law has been on the books for 15 years without being enforced. God help us.
Oh yes, phillymiss you are so right protect every species except your own, dogs, cats, whales, eagles, geese, etc. all deserve more protection that your own human unborn. @Billy — dogs and cats will defend their young to the death. I once read about a Rottweiler whose sadistic owner buried her puppies alive, right in front of her! The dog broke loose from her chain and dug her puppies up (not all of them survived). Contrast this with people who throw their babies in the garbage, etc. Sad, huh?
I can’t believe there are ANY serious posts about this! Really! I mean, could PP have generated a more pun-errific line if they had tried? Any time I need a laugh for the next month I’ll be good to go. Though, given web culture, it seems more logical to have picked cats lol.

While this is unfortunately true of pet hamsters, it very seldom happens with rats. Pet rats are almost always good mothers, as they are normal mammals. Pet hamsters are so drastically inbred that I would hesitate to call them normal. Almost all of the Golden Hamsters in pet stores around the world are descended from a single litter dug out of a burrow in Syria in 1930.

That is sad about the puppies phillymiss! Most human mothers would do almost anything to save their children. If only mothers considering abortion could be visited by the three ghosts from “A Christmas Carol”, that would be much better testimony than an ultrasound.

Eric your post made me laugh. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dog drink coffee, but it shouldn’t surprise me–the list of things a dog won’t eat is generally not real long.

Mrs.Arnott – Some female dogs eat their children… It is a very common practice in wild animals. Just because your experience of dogs is limited to the yorkie on your couch does not mean that is how all dogs do or should behave.
I was born and lived on Guam where packs of wide jungle dogs and cats are very ferocious and have been know not only to eat their own children but they have also dragged human babies left unattended off into the jungle to be eaten. Wild dogs like the wolf, coyote, dingo, and foxes do in fact eat their babies if they are weak or diseased.
I think aborting a 25 cent piece sized group of cells is better than letting the pregnancy go to full term, give birth, and then devour the weak babies for lunch in front of the other children. That is a bit extreme.

This is not an assertion I would ever make. I was in fact reacting in ridicule to your outlandish comparison and statement about dogs and humans. However I do think there is something to be learned from your statement about dogs, in your world everything is black and white, good and evil, and that shows the limited scope of your observations of life. No dog would ever do a thing like abortion because dogs are cute and sweet… most people know better…

What are you saying when you say “how insulting to humans”? If abortion is better than eating your own young than how is that insulting to humans?
If I have it right you believe that killing one’s own young when they are small and the most underdeveloped is ok but that eating it is crossing the line? But to say that you cannot kill the child at all is going too far? So it’s not so much about killing your own child that is wrong but about how you kill them and when that makes it wrong (and this is your nuanced, well informed view).
Aborting a baby because you do not want to deal with the natural outcomes of your sexual activity and do not wish to be inconvenienced temporarily with 40 weeks of pregnancy when there are other alternative to abortion that allow the quarter size group of cells to continue it’s development and continue living to be extreme measures. Doesn’t killing your own child just to suit you seem a bit extreme?
You are correct, however, in the assertion that the female dog pun is in poor taste. You are also correct in the fact that wild dogs are a problem in other countries (I have a friend from the Dominican Republic that is terrified of ALL dogs) but in America it is not a large issue (though as your article pointed out it CAN be) or one that most people are confronted with. Having said that the fact that wild dogs will eat their own young in no way makes human aborting their own young ok. Just because we are technologically advanced and can make the killing of one’s young “more humane” does not make the actual act humane.
