SBA List’s accompanying website, TurnOffTheMusic.com, shows how President Obama has reciprocated Planned Parenthood’s $1.7 million political investment in 2008 and 2010:
- During fiscal year 2009, Planned Parenthood reported receiving over $363 million dollars in government grants and contracts – an all-time record – boosting their annual budget to over $1 billion.
- In February of 2011, in response to undercover videos by Live Action in which Planned Parenthood employees show a willingness to aid and abet in alleged sex trafficking of minors, Obama called it a “manufactured” issue….
- When Speaker Boehner demanded that [a Planned Parenthood] cut be a part of the final Continuing Resolution deal to keep the federal government from shutting down, President Obama refused to cut a dime…. respond[ing], “Nope, zero. Nope, zero. John, this is it.”
Now that states are taking the initiative to cut spending, SBA List reports how the Obama administrative is “trying to strong-arm and even bypass [their] decisions”:
- In June 2011, after [Indiana] Gov. Mitch Daniels signed into law a bill defunding Planned Parenthood, the Obama Administration responded by declaring their law to be “illegal.” Furthermore, the Obama Administration told the state that if it did not change the law, Health and Human Services would consider pulling the state’s Medicaid funding, which totals $4.3 billion….
- After declaring Indiana’s law to be illegal, HHS issued a warning to other states stating that they are not permitted to “exclude providers from the program solely on the basis of the range of medical services they provide.”
- In September 2011, responding to a decision made by the elected members of New Hampshire’s Executive Council to reject a $1.8 million dollar contract with Planned Parenthood, the Obama Administration bypassed the state and contracted directly with Planned Parenthood. The non-competitive contract outraged local officials….
It really is breathtaking to see how far Obama has been willing to go to force not only federal taxpayers but state legislatures to continue financially supporting Planned Parenthood.
But this support is only temporal. Obama and Planned Parenthood are merely fighting headwinds.

So Obama supports Planned Parenthood. George Bush supported the “right to life” and funnelled our tax dollars into ineffective abstinence education grants to his anti-abortion chums. The majority of Americans voted for Obama. (Unlike Bush but that’s water way beyond the dam). Your turn will come next year when you cast your vote.
Still boggles my mind that I know “pro-life” liberal Catholics who voted for this man. I understand you’re liberal and you agree with his other policies but if you think abortion is murder how can you vote for Obama who wants to shove it down our throats at tax payer’s expense? I could never understand their reasoning and when I would question them they would get very angry and defensive without ever being able to explain or defend their vote.

Obama had attained kingship. He no longer uses Congress to pass laws. He no longer needs the Courts to determine the Constitutionality of a law. The separation of government- legislative, executive & judicial were meant to deter kingship forever in our nation. No branch may take on the powers of the other two. And yet, we have a Congress who sits like so much sheep as Obama adjudicates & legislates in addition to his executive powers. He will determine which laws are constitutional and he will make laws through regulatory bodies like the Dept. of Justice, Homeland Security, the EPA, the Dept. of Health and whatever else he wishes. We now have a kind on our hands. And Congress has no problem with it. Not even the so called Republicans. Americans need to take this into their own hands. The problem cannot be solved within the current political structure. Money has become too powerfully entrenched. The news has become to centrally controlled by the Money. The circle is complete. We need to approach this from outside the Constitution and demand some critical Amendments to get the Money out and to free the press. Then let them go back to business..
@Sydney and Andy — I work with hardcore Democrats in a very blue city, but I don’t hear any of his supporters (and that includes most of my coworkers) saying anything about him either. That’s not a good sign for him.
I too was disappointed by how many Catholics, according to polls, voted for this creep.
Remember, too, fellow Catholics, that when he speaks at a Catholic university, he has all the Christian symbols covered with drapery so as not to be photographed with them. Note how proudly he stands in front of backgrounds plastered with the Planned Parenthood logo. By their fruits you shall know them, indeed.
A person who claims to be Christian, won’t murder children anywhere, let alone in the womb!
Repent now Mr. President, by being responsible for the shedding of this innocent blood, your soul is in great danger!
CC, we are talking about a president spending our tax dollars to support the killing of innocent unborn children which is against the consciences of at least 65% of all Americans and when phrased appropriately in an unbiased poll closer to 85% — as opposed to a president spending our tax dollars on an education program. That is no comparison. Apples to oranges. One is life and death. I was no fan of George W Bush, but Obama is too dictatorial. It’s frightening. Where will it end? At what point will it be too late to stop him? I’m so glad we only have to bear at the most another four years of this man. I will pray for him, but it has been a hard thing to watch. We knew from his record in Illinois what we were getting. If only more people had listened to Jill at the time!
