I laughed so hard, and cried so hard, and healed.

Kind of makes me wish I lived in Mississippi, just so I could see it early!

ive seen some horrible rotten things written on pro abortion blogs about gianna jensen. a few wrote that she should have been finished off. gag. anyway she really is a light in the darkness. any time i feel self pity coming on, i think of someone like gianna. shes not sitting around wallowing in despair. we could all learn a lesson from her.

Gianna is an amazing woman – we had her to our area for a talk a couple of years back. A totally wonderful and genuine woman of great courage, faith and humility. She calls it as she sees it: ” if abortion was about women’s rights – what about mine?” she says. And she knows.
She is the face of what we are missing due to abortion – living, breathing, unique individuals who have much to offer us. They are our brothers and sisters, they are part of our human family.
I am glad that she had healing through this movie. God bless her (He already has!)…

No, heather, you’re thinking of Sarah Smith. I remember Gianna saying her mother came (unannounced) to one of her speaking events and had very unkind things to say to her. During it, she said she was mentally reminding herself she was God’s daughter.

Somehow I am not surprised that Gianna’s mother is still carrying around her hatred for her baby. Everyone told her the abortion would fix everything, and that the world was still her oyster. Of course life doesn’t really work like that, does it?
I suppose some people might think such an insignifcant sacrifice a small price to pay for worldy success.
We should join Gianna in praying for her birth mother. She needs the healing only Jesus has under his wings.
This is a very good story idea, and the trailer makes it appear rather well done. My eyes are peeled.
God bless the Erwins both for their vision.

I have never read anywhere that Gianna’s birth mom carries around hatred for her baby. Gianna is hardly a baby is she??
Please link to a source for that. I would like to read it.

(Denise) I read the biography of Gianna. That book depicts her biological mother as being extremely remorseful. She is said to be very upset over what happened to Gianna.
However, I do remember an interview with Gianna in which Gianna said her mother introduced herself and was hostile.

This really contradicts what is said in the book “Gianna” because the author depicts her birthmother as having extreme regret and being deeply concerned about Gianna.
Perhaps being face-to-face caused her birthmother to feel defensive and the hostility resulted from that.
FWIW, Gianna is a very pretty woman. That red lipstick that she usually wears is very dramatic and flattering.
She also has a nice, sweet voice. I don’t care for the songs played on her website but there is not disputing that she has a good voice. According to a friend of mine who is head of a Crisis Pregnancy Center and has heard her speak, that voice is also “powerful.”

I just finished reading the book Gianna.
(Denise) Why do you think the birthmother’s attitude changed so radically from what it was when that book was written?
