Jill Stanek is a nurse turned speaker, columnist and blogger, a national figure in the effort to protect both preborn and postborn innocent human life.
Having ended its first week, earlier chapters of the [abortionist Kermit Gosnell] trial were much more charged. Those included gruesome and revolting descriptions of dead babies – oh, excuse me, I mean fetuses, not babies, not even the one that was seven months along [gestational age depicted in image, right] who could have walked Gosnell to the bus, he reportedly joked.
It’s nice to have fun on the job.
Jurors nearly sobbed when they learned that Gosnell reportedly cut the spinal cords of dozens of fetuses and babies, which means the state believes at least some survived birth, allowing Gosnell to be charged with murder.
It’s amazing that what separates human from nonhuman, baby from fetus, is the thickness of the wall of the mother’s belly.
Uh-oh. This is heading where maybe it shouldn’t.

So totally unbelievable!!
$5 off emergency contraception? Are there typically a lot of date rapes/one night stands on Thanksgiving?

Now, why am I not surprised?
Planned Parenthood has the support worship of the media, academe, Hollywood, and much of the public. They even have a cheerleader in the oval office. Yet I still see them on the street begging for donations and signatures to repel the e-vell anti-choice fanatics. I guess what they want is TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION!
Nothing shocks me anymore. Nothing.

I know, right? But the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is supposedly one of the biggest bar nights of the year. I am sure PP knows all about it.

It seems like they are just encouraging people to screw around. I apologize I can;’t say it in nicer words. It is what it is folks.
“$5 off emergency contraception? Are there typically a lot of date rapes/one night stands on Thanksgiving?”
Probably. According to numerous police reports, Thanksgiving Day should be renamed Domestic Violence Day as they get way more dv calls on that day than any other day of the year. Holiday stress, alcohol consumption, family/relational tensions combined, date rapes and one night stands would fit right in to the mix. And leave it to pp to exploit the situation rather than make any attempt to improve it for anyone but themselves.
@jtm: How can we decrease Thanksgiving related domestic violence?
If that emergency contraception works as advertised to PREVENT A CONCEPTION, it may also prevent an abortion.
Preventing pregnancies that the girl or woman is unprepared to carry to term prevents abortion. It is preferable to encourage celibacy but contraception is to be preferred over abortion.
Good for Planned Parenthood! Abortions, contraception, and family planning should be more readily available and affordable for all. They perform the work of *true* christians. They show courage in the face of hate.
