Chicago Public Media radio ad campaign: “Go make babies”
At WBEZ, we tell interesting stories that appeal to interesting people.
And just by navigating to this website you’ve proven that you’re an interesting person. A seeker. A member of the Curious Class. And we want more of you. That’s why we’re asking you to do the city a solid, and begin to procreate immediately.
We’re asking you to do it. For Chicago. And for the next generation of WBEZ listeners.

This would be great were there a companion ad encouraging couples to get married first.
Also, this lighthearted ad – encouraging procreation to ensure future listeners – inadvertently points to the very real problem pro-aborts face.
Too funny. I actually appeared on WBEZ last month. I had no idea that they were planning this, though.
I imagine there are many people upset with this message. There are those who would say it marginalizes couples who cannot pro-create naturally. Where is the ACLU?
What’s been the response so far at BEZ?
What were you on for, Kelsey?
Just a short Roe v. Wade anniversary piece. http://blog.secularprolife.org/2013/01/audio-appearance-on-wbez.html
People should approach pregnancy responsibly. They should exercise great care. A baby requires great care. We aren’t in an agricultural society. We don’t have extended families. Many don’t even have nuclear families. The economy is extremely uncertain.
Of course, you can encourage pregnant girls and women to carry to term. However, if a girl or woman is NOT pregnant, she should exercise appropriate caution in GETTING pregnant when she believes she will provide a good upbringing to a child.
Denise, then you should believe in God’s way, planned parenthood, getting married. See Jill’s first comment above.

(Denise) Marriage first. So many babies to single mothers means we are slipping back to a pre-civilization period.
