“Christian” abortionist explains why he does it
by Carder
This isn’t the first time that Parker has drawn connections between his Christian faith and his work as an abortion provider.
Last year, in an interview with the Center for American Progress, Parker explained that he knew he had to start providing abortions because “it became this conviction of compassion in a spiritual sense of the deepest level of love that you can have for another person, that you can have compassion for their suffering and you can act to relieve it.”
~ “Christian” abortionist Dr. Willie J. Parker, on why his faith led him to commit abortions, Think Progress, May 27

Christian and abortion dont go together. I cant believe he believes this.
The is a great deal of denial that must occur in the minds of abortion workers. Most of them pass through a phase during which they convince themselves that they are doing a good work for women who “need” abortion.
The denial that they are murderers (and the armor of beliefs that they weld on to protect their denial) has to exist alongside whatever other beliefs they hold.
As a result, if abortionists like Tiller and Parker want to go to church on Sunday, then they have to reconcile their work with their beliefs somehow.
Of course, this looks like insanity to the rest of us — both Christians and pro-borts know that Christianity does not endure the killing of the innocent.
I bet the $$ helps, too.
Cognitive Dissonance
Pretty simple.
He’s not a Christian.
Relieve women’s suffering?????? RELIEVE WOMEN’S SUFFERING? By tearing their babies limb from limb? And how, “doctor” do you propose to relieve their suffering when they grieve their baby for the rest of their lives???
Women need love and support not abortion. I’m so tired of these “compassionate” killers.
I’m not a Christian myself, but isn’t “Thou shalt not kill” kind of a big thing in Christianity?
You can CALL yourself anything you want –
That doesn’t make it so.
There’s that saying: “If you were on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?”
I’m thinking this guy would be found “Not guilty”.
I pray he “wakes up” before it’s too late.
You are right, Xalisae. If he is so compassionate, why doesn’t he do them for free?
He is totally deranged.
It is not the pregnancy that causes the suffering (short of physical complications), but rather the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy, ie homelessness, income education, employment, lack of support etc. These are the issues which need to be addressed & for which abortion doesn’t provide solutions, only temporary”relief”
“If he is so compassionate, why doesn’t he do them for free?”
I don’t think this is one of our stronger arguments & here’s why: 1) Surgeons & other providers in speciality fields also get paid large amounts, but also had to complete higher levels of schooling & earn their title, which carries me to my next point 2)There are many people who are passionate about what they do, however most, if not all of us have bills to pay (especially if they owe thousands in graduate & medical school student loans) & other such things we need to pay for.
I just wanted to *like* this ten times:
Ladybug: “It is not the pregnancy that causes the suffering (short of physical complications), but rather the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy, ie homelessness, income education, employment, lack of support etc. These are the issues which need to be addressed & for which abortion doesn’t provide solutions, only temporary” relief”
Dr. Parker reminds me of an article and thread on this site a few years ago about the narcissistic nature of abortionists. Many have a deity complex and see themselves as saviors of the poor women whose lives would be destroyed were it but for them and their life-restoring speculums and vacuum aspirators.
“but isn’t “Thou shalt not kill” kind of a big thing in Christianity?” – apart from about 1001 exceptions. Try Leviticus for a start.
Given the vast array of interpretations, prioritizing, nuances and focus between various branches, divisions and congregations of christianity it is understandable that someone can take the position he has. Just like some theists support the marriage of same-sex folk in their church while others think homosexuality should draw the death penalty.
I’m still so jazzed to see Xalisae.
Me too! :-)
The depths of his love knows no bounds. He is even wiling to mutilate women and kill their children for a fee.
Hi xalasie nice to see you back!!!!:)
Hello X,
So glad to see you. I hope all is well with you and yours.
“I’m still so jazzed to see Xalisae.”
I’m honestly just jazzed to see someone use the word jazzed in a sentence. I don’t hear that one too often.
Sounds like Joel Osteen and some of the other prosperity preachers – twisting the gospel to how it fits them.
I’d say the same thing on a site discussing Joel Osteen – sounds like Dr Parker and some of the other abortionists – twisting the Gospel to how it fits them. Glad you recognize Dr Parker is twisting the Gospel.
Hi Xalisae!!! Good to see you back. God bless you and your family. I pray things are going well for you.
Sounds like the guy is just crazy.
