Sarah Palin: Ironic that “war on women” mongers mocked daughter’s assault by a man
It strikes me as bitterly ironic that the same people who tell us there is a “war on women” have no problem laughing at the recording of my daughter crying as she tells police about being assaulted by a man.
~ Sarah Palin, as quoted by Politico, October 24, on the mainstream media’s mockery of daughter Bristol’s recount to police of being attacked, transcribed here:
So we were in a limo. I walk back up. “Did you push my sister?” And some guy gets up, pushes me down on the grass, drags me across the grass. “You slut, you f—ing c—, you f—ing this.” I get back up, he pushes me down on the grass again. And he pulls me by my f—ing feet. And he’s the one that’s leaving and I have my 5-year-old, they took my $300 sunglasses, they took my f—ing shoes, and I’m f—ing just left here?

Here’s video of CNN Carol Costello’s lead-in to the aforementioned audio. Costello has since offered a written apology but has thus far refused to do so on air.

Taking pleasure in the pain of others is really quite ugly no matter who it is. A woman taking pleasure in the physical assault on another woman? On national television? Thinking her viewers would approve? (“You can thank me later.”) I have no words.

Let us remember that those who kept parroting “war on women” always knew that it was a lie. They never believed there was a war on women.
They only know that they hate pro-lifers, Christians, conservatives, TEA Party activists, etc. They are always looking for weapons to use against people. “War on Women,” as a distraction and a slander, was an effective weapon. Videos of prominent conservative women and families in distress with their guard down seemed a likely weapon as well.
It never dawns on the left that real people are concerned with real ideas, and their own propaganda is in conflict with itself. The elitists think that people are stupid, and no one will notice their hypocrisy.

Left wing mouth piece and CNN anchor (but I repeat myself) Costello stopped just short of turning the transcripts of the police tapes of the assault on Bristol Palin and her sister into a drinking game. A frat house floozie would stand on the sidelines and cheer on the bullyboy who exposes the underwear of a woman. This is how you win elections in this day and time: turn assault on women into entertainment. Remember in November.

I need to calm down before I comment.

Where’s the outrage from Sandra Fluke? Rachel Maddow? Cecile Richards? Lena-frickin-Dunham?????
Nothing. Because that’s all they got: nothing. It’s THEIR war on conservative women, and Ms. Costello will suffer no fallout from this, I’m betting. Can you imagine if this happened to Nancy Peolosi’s daughter?? There would already be some sort of discussion on the House floor and a bill passed.
Where is your outrage, you liberated women????
Someone, one of our trolls most likely, will try to make it sound less egregious than it is. They can’t. Because basically, this is what that CNN you-know-what did, on national TV: An assault on a woman is funny when you hate her and her ideology with the hot, hot hate of a thousand suns.
My God.

This is so awful. I think what got to me the most was Bristol Palin saying “I’ve got a 5 year old in the car.”
This poor young woman was assaulted most likely because someone didn’t much like her mother’s political stance.
Carol Costello needs to be fired. You can tell she would have been even more delighted had Bristol and her sister been beaten bloody and hospitalized. What about that 5 year old, Carol? Where does your glee stop?
We need to make some noise about this until Miss Costello is out of a job.

Where is Reality or Ex-GOP? You know those guys who claim to care about women’s rights? Where is their outrage and compassion for female victims of violence? Where is their outrage about a victim being mocked on national television?
“Just sit back and enjoy”???
As a survivor of domestic violence, this absolutely disgusts me and Costello needs to be fired whether she apologizes or not.

Time and again feminists and the mainstream media have made no secret of their tolerance for violence against women so long as the perpetrator was of the correct political agenda.
Thus the blind eye to the tactics of the late Ted Kennedy and the fact Bill Clinton is treated so honorably.
The worst Clarence Thomas was “guilty” of was talking dirty, if he even did that. Yet those who went into hysterics over Thomas were strangely silent when the women who accused Clinton were attacked as liars, bimboes, psychotics, and trailer trash.
Looks like things haven’t changed much.

Ms. Costello didn’t just embarrass herself; she undermined the credibility of every one of her CNN colleagues. Just curious: how did she cover the story about Ray Rice assaulting his fiancee?

Total. empathy. fail
Total. humanity. fail (ah, but i repeat myself; for isn’t empathy one of the main qualities which distinguish humans from brute beasts? hmmm, not sure; for there are brute beasts that i think have more empathy for at least the young of their kind)
Total. conscience. fail.
Yes, Costello needs to go. She does not need to be in any kind of public position…though i would agree she needs to be kept a close eye on by someone responsible, and who does not share her lack of humanity.
If liberalism is a mental disorder, then it’s easy to see from this (and other examples/sources) what kind; narcissists are all lacking in the same areas she seems to be.

Is this a different deal than the last “drunken brawl” that the Palins were involved in? Serious question – if so, then okay, but if not then there is certainly the other side of the story….

Here’s one side. Find the other side.
There is no other side to what Costello says.
