Breaking news: Audio of Obama’s speech against Born Alive found
In 2001, then IL state Sen. Barack Obama, for the 2nd year in a row, was the sole person opposing Born Alive Infant bills on the state senate floor.
Audio of senate floor debates is destroyed when transcripts are written. Until now, only the Chicago Tribune was known to have audio of this debate but had only released a very small clip.
But we now have it. A reader requesting anonymity sent it to me. Thanks to moderator Chris for making a YouTube video, accentuating Obama’s talking points and irrationality…
In the audio, Obama argues against calling for a 2nd physician if the 1st physician – the abortionist – has decided the baby s/he has just aborted alive is non-viable….
Most would recognize the potential for subjective opinion in this case. The abortionist has been paid to kill the baby, and a live birth would indicate s/he botched.
In addition, these babies are often being aborted because the abortionist has stated they are handicapped. A living baby could be evidence the abortionist made a wrong diagnosis.
Barack Obama, a self-professed champion of the little guy and opponent of bullies, in this case argued in favor of trusting the abortionist. The reasons for Obama’s trust in the abortion industry are obvious. It gives him $$ and gets him votes. For instance, the abortion lobby, in 2008, promised to spend $30 MILLION for their candidates.
In this audio, Obama utters these infamous words, among many:
“… if that fetus or child – however way you want to describe it – is now outside the mother’s womb….”
and
“… but there’s, let’s say, movement or some indication that, in fact, they’re not just coming out limp and dead….”

My gosh! It’s so very apparent that he’s trying to work his way around saying the BABY is ALIVE. Heaven forbid he slips up and says the baby is alive, instead he says “is moving and ‘isn’t dead.'” He stutters and stammers his whole way through. Disgusting.
This just makes me ill. He has to be the most evil candidate ever for President.
He MUST be defeated on Tuesday.
On another note, has anyone seen this Christian pro life movie? Its’ free to watch online right now.

Phil Berg, the lawyer challenging Barack Obama’s constitutional eligibility to be President, is to hold a rally in front of the Supreme Court at 3:00 PM. He will then apparently argue for the Court to take his case. Let’s wish him luck.
And he refers to a baby as “it.”
Most decent people would have more compassion for a pet than he does for a BABY.
It’s evil and despicable.
Pretty boring stuff.
We already know that Obama opposed this bill because the Illinois Medical Society opposed the bill. Doctors were already required to save babies born alive. The second doctor requirement wouldn’t save any babies, but it would make it harder for doctors to provide abortions, which was your goal. Obama and the rest of the legislature saw through your lies, listened to doctors and voted it down.
Did you listen to the tape, reality? You can’t say ‘pretty boring stuff’ if you did!
So reality – do you believe that inducing labor and delivering a baby for the express purposes of killing it is moral?
This morning I was listening to a talk that Peter Kreeft gave several years ago. During his talk, he mentioned how Leo XIII was graced to hear a conversation between God and Satan. God basically allowed Satan to run rampant for one century, a century of Satan’s choosing. Satan chose the 20th century. Upon hearing about this, Leo XII composed the prayer that Catholics would say at the end of every mass until the 1960s to defend against Satan. This was the prayer of St. Michael the Archangel.
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host –
by the Divine Power of God –
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Kreeft goes on to mention how it is no coincidence that once we stopped praying that prayer in the 1960s after mass, things went from bad to worse. Unfortunately I believe that part of Satan’s plan involves carrying out the evils he perpetrated in the 20th century into the 21st century, which includes the election of Obama and him enacting FOCA. Part of Satan’s brilliant plan is to have a huge amount of complacency and approval of this. Why destroy the body when you can destroy the soul? The foundation of evil that the devil has laid will echo far into this century, I’m afraid.
Yet we must remain hopeful, though I am finding it difficult. To all my Catholic brothers and sisters and anyone else who would not have a problem with it, please pray the prayer of Michael the Archangel EVERY DAY for the rest of your lives. It is essential to winning this spiritual warfare.
Thank you Bobby and all of you. This is a battle and I do get overwhelmed. Prayer is the answer and needs to be our weapon against all the evil in this world.
so he “suspects” the original attending physician will take care of the baby? whatta joke!!! yeah…he will do that…by stabbing “it” in the chest with scissors, strangling “it” holding “its” head under water, leaving “it” in the utility closet, turning away medical assistance, or tying “it” up in a bio hazard bag and tossing “it” up on the roof!
What if we treated veterans, the elderly, anyone under five, or even puppies and kittens like this? ONLY in abortion…why not just set their heads on fire and toast some marshmallows? GEEZE…this man is either very demented or utterly STUPID!!!!!
Oh what I would give to have a lil f2f meeting with this IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok…sorry for the crass rant…this just makes me ILLLLLLLLL!!!!!

It is interesting to hear how carefully Obama chooses his words in this audio. He knows perfectly well like the rest of us that this is a baby. Being pro abortion is all about false statements, it has to be and the lies continue and build and get more and more extreme. This man is not fit to be in any position of power.
We already know that Obama opposed this bill because the Illinois Medical Society opposed the bill.
The IMS opposed the bill… no-DUH! They’re abortionists. Of course they’re going to oppose any bill that puts a burden on them. These are doctors giving priority to their own welfare over their patients.
Oh, and I also pray the prayer of Michael the Archangel every time I pass by a Planned Parenthood. I think if we were to all do that (or some other prayer) that would help a lot.
Bobby, I don’t mean any disrepect, but do you really think that praying as you pass Planned Parenthood “would help a lot?” If you can briefly explain why that would help, why God would be more willing to act if people are praying for example, I’d appreciate it. (I know I’m ignorant on religious doctrine, but I do find it interesting)
If it’s too complicated for this limited space, I understaind.
At least twice, Obama referred to “time”, saying “let’s get this through quickly”, or something to that effect. Shows his level of concern about the issue at hand, or he had an important lunch date.
Obama said at the end, “this is about ABORTION”. EXCUSE ME, MR. OBAMA, THIS IS ABOUT THE LIVE BABY. In his mind, he doesn’t see the baby. It’s a blob. Put him in a room filled with babies, and he’d say “what baby”?
To all who say we are “demonizing” Obama – I sure wish I could say, “this is a great man, let’s support him and vote for him”. But how can you?
No that’s fine, Hal. I appreciate it. I know you’re always sincere. (incidentally, what follows will also explain why these silly “prayer experiments” where half the sick people are prayed for and the other half aren’t never end up showing any results)
So one of the main misunderstandings (or at least one of the main ways that people think incorrectly about prayer) about prayer is that it bends the will of God; God was going to do something some way or he wasn’t planning to “get involved”, but he heard enough prayers which “changed his mind” and he finally decided to do something. That is false. God is also not a “genie in a bottle.” We don’t just ask for something and have our wishes granted. In fact, there are four types of prayer: adoration, thanksgiving, penitential, and petitionary. Adoration is the highest form of prayer; petition (asking for something) is the lowest, and the lowest form of petition is asking for some material thing for yourself. So prayer isn’t just asking for stuff; it is also about praise, giving thanks, and confessing your sins. Here is the key: prayer is part of God’s divine providence. What that means is that God wills, he WISHES us to pray in order to participate in his “grand plan” for the universe. God has pre-destined from all eternity how his eternal plan will unfold. So why pray at all? That’s like saying “my dissertation will either get done or it won’t get done; God has known whether it will or not from all eternity, so I might as well not work on it and see if it gets done or not.” That misses the purpose of our participation in what is God’s eternal plan (his Providence).
So I’m starting to go off on a bit of a tangent. Let’s return to the question of how prayer helps. It helps on several levels. First of all, just on a personal level, it brings you closer to God. We should all strive for “God consciousness”, that is, thinking with the mind of God and conforming our will’s to that of Gods. Contemplating God and “spending time” with him makes us “closer” to him so that our will’s are closer to his. More so to the point though (I knew I’d eventually get there), is that it can confer grace (which is the “thing” that helps people to do the right thing (that’s a very, very rough definition)) to people who need it. That means that God will give extra grace to people who need it through our prayers (based on what I said above). Extra grace can cause people to do the right thing (I’m really simplifying things here). Without grace, none of us would be able to do anything good at all. I can not love God with out grace, I can’t love my wife without grace, I can’t pity a starving child without grace, etc. God also knows exactly when the most beneficial time to confer that grace on someone is; he knows when they would be most dispensed to receive it rather than reject it. So this is essential for every one to do any sort of good. Incidentally, this is why I try and love those who support abortion even MORE than others; because I know that the only reason that I don’t support it is because of grace. It is a totally gratuitous gift, and as such, I have to realize that anything I have is because of grace, and pray as much as I can for grace for those who need it most.
Sorry, that’s a lot more than you probably wanted to hear, Hal. I hope that wasn’t too esoteric sounding. I immerse myself in these kinds of ideas and language, so it’s sometimes hard for me to know what the best way to explain something is.
Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help,
or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother;
to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.
Thanks Bobby, that helps. I figured that “ask God to do the right thing” couldn’t be right, but that is sort of what it seemed like. Your explaination makes sense.
Bobby @ 2:55,
That was beautifully said.
Here is the key: prayer is part of God’s divine providence. What that means is that God wills, he WISHES us to pray in order to participate in his “grand plan” for the universe.
As an analogy, I would add that God, our heavenly Father, wishes for us to love Him like an earthly father yearns for the love of his own children.
One last thing, let me give you something more concrete. So maybe the question is “what EXACTLY do you see as a result of your prayers?” For me, the answer is nothing. I know many people have actually seen the fruits first-hand of their prayers, but I’ve never seen anything explicitly come about by my prayers. And that’s fine. I don’t base the fact that I think all this stuff about prayer on the results I see; rather, I base what I say about prayer on the teaching of the Church. It has been said many times that we will never know the efficacy of our prayers in this lifetime. So in terms of maybe pointing to evidence as to how it helps? I have none, though there are many people who do. But there does not need to be evidence that I can see in order to believe that my prayers may help to cause certain outcomes.
Yes Hal, it can somewhat be summarized by what you said.
Janet,
Amen and Amen.
BTW if anyone is interested in going deeper into this stuff, I highly, HIGHLY recommend “Providence” by Father Garrigou-Lagrange. Anything by him is a masterful work, and this book goes deep into the theology of providence and prayer, yet is written in an extremely clear way. Fr. Garrigou-Lagrange is my favorite theologian; I think he beats out Aquinas…
Bobby,
Thank you for the book recommendation. I hadn’t heard the story about Pope Leo XIII; St. Michael isn’t talked about much anymore. I found a link to the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel with a nice picture of him that could be made into a prayer card.
http://www.ourladyswarriors.org/prayer/michael.htm
God bless you.
Bobby I didn’t know that — Saint Michael the Archangel is one of my favorite prayers. I say it nightly usually. And my parents and I include it as part of our rosary.
I need to say my Divine Mercy Chaplet Novena in a little while — I’m on Day 4, which is very very important.
That’s beautiful Janet. I actually have several prayer cards with variations of that image on it. I love it. Michael standing on the head of Satan, showing that in the end, good does triumph. God love you.
Janet and Liz,
Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prayer_to_Saint_Michael
and click on the heading “Speculation about the origin of one or other of these prayers” to read more about it. It is private revelation, but still, very beautiful prayer. Plus I see no reason to not believe that Leo XIII heard the conversation.
I too, include the prayer in my rosary. I think everyone should.
Maybe state senator O’Mally should have punched Obama in the face.
Jasper,
It might have changed history. We’ll never know. (just kidding…)
Secret tape time:

Tomorrow is the Feast of All Saints. Please pray for their intercession.
Bobby, I will join you in praying St. Michael’s prayer when I pass a Planned Parenthood. It is a good idea and can help shut them down.
