OSU student found guilty of destroying pro-life display

946879_526377030754856_868729005_n In April, Hans posted video of a woman at Ohio State University knocking down signs that had been erected by Created Equal showing the atrocity of abortion.

The vandal was identified as OSU student Calysta Santacroce, and Created Equal filed charges.

On May 7 criminal charges were lowered to “disorderly conduct” on the condition that Santacroce plead guilty and pay restitution of $126 to Created Equal, which she paid in cash that day.

When the judge asked Santacroce to explain herself, she said it had been a bad day, and she  did something she knows she shouldn’t have. “He [CE staff member] provoked me,” Santacroce claimed.

When the judge asked how so, Santacroce responded, “He asked me, ‘What do you think of my signs?’”

Santacroce was fined $50, in addition to the restitution.

Here again is that video. Warning: Profanity

2013 pro-life summer boot camps for teens/college students!

boot camp final

Following the tradition we started two years ago, we’re posting all the upcoming summer pro-life teen- and college-aged boot camps we could find around the country. If we missed any, please let Kelli know.

If I had teens in the house now I’d not only send them to church camp every summer, I’d send them to at least one pro-life boot camp during their high school years. These provide a great opportunity to build strength and confidence in the sanctity of life and also launch lifelong pro-life friendships.

It’s great to see so many pro-life groups in so many states sponsoring these vital training programs for our young people….

Aborted babies represented at Obama inauguration

UDPATE: 1/22, 8:40a: Created Equal has posted several photos on Facebook of its outreach protest at President Obama’s inauguration yesterday. His motorcade had to pass the group twice. We pray the photos of the reality of abortion got through and pierced his soul – somehow, some way. Here are two of the best photos. Click to enlarge…

UDPATE: 1/21, 12:35p: Created Equal’s protest is positioned on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the Navy Memorial. The presidential motorcade passed the group on its way to the Inauguration at the Capitol Building and will pass it again when returning to the White House.

1/21, 12:10p: I was just sent this picture from Mark Harrington of Created Equal.

Thanks to Mark’s team for standing in the gap for babies slaughtered by abortion, and for disallowing President Obama and his followers to forget what they support, even on Inauguration Day.

Controversial jumbotron returns to the March for Life

(Poll at bottom of post)

2013-01-17_1457

Last year the pro-life group Created Equal debuted its jumbotron showing the reality of abortion at the March for Life in Washington, D.C. Here is some of the poignant reaction of pro-life marchers…

Join pro-life protest of Obama inauguration

The most pro-abortion/pro-infanticide president in America’s history will be inaugurated for the second time on January 21, 2013. (In fact, in an ironic twist, the March for Life had to be delayed until January 25 because so many hotel rooms were blocked out for this event.)

Created Equal and Operation Rescue will be co-sponsoring a pro-life protest of Obama’s “hypocritical oath”…

Pro-life summit: What next?

As I wrote yesterday, since the election I’ve been pondering where we are as a nation and a world.

I vacillate between thinking 1) the end of the civilization known as the United States of America is near, 2) the apocalypse is near, and 3) I’m overreacting.

Most often I think it’s a combination of #1 and #2, although I do try to temper myself.

And what if this is so, I’ve asked myself? Where does this leave the pro-life movement? Why is God continuing to allow these millions of abortions – almost half a billion around the world per decade – and with them the worldwide decimation of demographics by age and gender? What is He thinking? How does unfathomable tragedy fit into His plan?

Well, of course I know His thoughts are not my thoughts, and His ways are higher than mine. But I still think about these things. I’ve learned there are four ways to determine the will of God: Scripture, prayer, Godly counsel, and circumstances. So I always do try to keep an eye on what’s going on around me, just in case there is something obvious I can take note of.

So I took all this baggage with me to the summit, knowing I would be in the company of Godly counselors. My takeaways, plagiarizing Mark Harrington of Created Equal in places:

Pro-life summit: Where are we?

As I indicated yesterday, I attended a summit meeting of pro-life activists and apologists in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday and Tuesday, spearheaded by Mark Harrington of Created Equal.

The summit was to assess where the movement is at in light of the reelection of Barack Obama, also bearing in mind the fact we’re nearing the 40 year mark of legalized abortion in the U.S.

Heads of various groups from around the country and Canada gave their analyses, many via Skype, and also provided a snapshot of their plans for 2013.

I was looking forward to this summit, because in my opinion the paradigm shifted with the reelection of Barack Obama, and I was fumbling with how as a pro-lifer to respond.

Church ignores little girl hit by truck

I’m attending a two-day summit in Columbus, Ohio, involving leaders of pro-life activist groups, spearheaded by Mark Harrington of Created Equal, an organization of which I’m a board member. I’ll discuss more on that in another post.

But Don Cooper of World Life Organization (another group I’m on the board of), made a stirring point I’d like to pass along to you to get the conversation started as to the state of the pro-life movement as we approach the 40 year mark of legalized abortion in the U.S.

Don showed a video you may have seen, of several passersby ignoring for several minutes a toddler who was struck by not one but two trucks on a street in China last October. A total of 18 people ignored the crushed child until a street scavenger finally pulled her off the street. She went on to die….
