Pro-lifers: Crash HHS Women’s Health online town hall this morning

This morning 10a to 11:30a EST the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services will hold an online Women’s Health Town Hall.

This affords pro-lifers a fabulous opportunity to send unfiltered and public messages to HHS, the mainstream media, and the social media world by submitting questions and comments via Twitter and Facebook.

Per HHS’s instructions, submit questions and comments via Twitter by using the hashtag #WomensHealth and also at HHS’s Facebook page. Then watch the town hall live streamed to see if they address any of our concerns (taking bets that they don’t).

Scheduled to on the call are a who’s who of pro-abortion leaders in the Obama administration, including:

Former boy band member turned pro-life activist shares testimony

UPDATE 5/26, 8:20a: E! Online has posted a fair story on Brad’s pro-life stance. Add your comment! This is a story we can anticipate many who consider themselves “pro-choice” will read. At present comments are running 90% pro-life, a beautiful thing.

5/25:4:41p: Since yesterday liberal websites have been aghast at the news former Lyte Funky Ones boy band member Brad Fischetti (on the far right in photo) is now a pro-life activist.

Inside the Abortion Care Network 2012 Conference

The Abortion Care Network just concluded its annual three-day conference.

ACN is basically a club of all independent abortion clinics other than Planned Parenthood.

Pro-abortion conferences are always hush-hush. ACN didn’t even announce its own on its web page, Facebook page, or Twitter.

I only stumbled on this conference last night while perusing pro-abortion tweets, because Steph Herold, aka @IAmDrTiller, began live-tweeting from the event.

So all I have are tweets, but they’re interesting. I’ve organized the stand-outs by topic….

Pro-lifer smacks down Cher’s (now deleted) tweet sniping Romney and “Tea Baggers”

According to Cher’s tweet, we Tea Party folks are a bunch of women haters. Cher, I’ll remind you, on behalf of the Tea Party, when the Tea Party has to have ‘No-Rape Zones’ at their rallies, I’ll accept your charge of women-hating.

Us being opposed to abortion doesn’t make us ‘women haters’.

Grow the hell up and knock it off with acting like a spoiled brat because we acknowledge the fact that it’s unlawful and just plain wrong to kill an unborn child.

“Waaaaah! You won’t let women kill their children! You just hate them!”

~ Black Republican conservative Alfonzo Rachel mocking singer/actress Cher for her tweet criticizing Tea Partiers, PJTV’s Zo Nation, May 12

Here’s Cher’s original tweet…

Stanek weekend question: What do you think of Time’s “Are you Mom enough?” cover photo?

The current issue of Time magazine features model Jamie Grumet nursing her 3-year-old son. The photo has obviously caused a stir. The range of reactions were boiled down in this Associated Press article:

Photo encapsulates how sexual revolution has exploited women

Click to enlarge… Jack Yoest tweeted a link to this photo a couple days go, and it has stayed with me. Upon viewing it mamlovescoffee tweeted, “That has to be one of the saddest, loneliest images of all time.” I agree.

Did Sarah Silverman risk NBC gig with abortion joke?

Comedienne Sarah Silverman took some heat after tweeting an unfunny “aborsh” joke along with before-and-after photos a couple weeks ago, garnering the attention of Drudge and the worldwide media.

On April 17 Silverman tried to pull the joke back, although as Jivin J pointed out, Politico’s characterization of this as an “apology” was exceedingly generous…

Stanek weekend question: Which pro-choice stars do you boycott, if any?

UPDATE 4/29, 1:54p: Ashley has engaged in the conversation on Twitter, fyi…

4/28, 3:14p: Pro-abortion Hollywood star Ashley Judd was one of several lesser knowns to recently mock the demise of Rick Santorum’s presidential campaign with a spoof that made analogies to abortion…
