Student Pro-Life Day of Solidarity TOMORROW
There is still time to register your middle school, high school, or college for the 5th annual Pro-Life Day of Solidarity TOMORROW, sponsored by StandTrue.com.
TOMORROW students all over the world will silently protest abortion by wearing red duct tape, a red arm band, and/or a pro-life t-shirt . There are also flyers to download and distribute to explain the silence. Home school students can participate by distributing flyers at malls and other public places….
According to StandTrue.com’s press release today, over 4,000 campuses worldwide have registered to participate. StandTrue.com expects 200,000+ students to “stand in solidarity with each other to bring attention to the holocaust that is killing almost 4,000 babies every day in the United States alone.”
So that’s one school for every baby killed. Fitting.
If a school forbids the activity, Pro-Life Day of Solidarity has legal help available.

It’s about the safe haven laws. Interestingly enough I learned about it through PETA.
Jess, it’s pretty wild in Nebraska – there’s been a couple kids dropped off, like teenagers…..
Save Haven Laws are actually relevant to abortion, Jess. If girls and women with unwanted pregnancies can find the support they need to carry their babies to birth, they can drop their babies at Save Haven locations in almost any state, with little or no questions asked.
Safe Haven is meant for distressed teen and young adult moms so they don’t toss their newborn in a trash can or let the baby die in a closet.
It was not meant to be used for teenagers, but it has brought to light how many families struggle with behavioral issues with their kids and how these services are needed more.
I think its ridiculous that a Michigan mom drove 12 hours to leave her son. That’s pretty sad.

I heard on Relevant Radio this morning that the Michigan woman wanted to teach her son a lesson by leaving him in Nebraska…with the intention all along of going back to get him. I don’t know what will come of that case.
When parents can’t cope….the outcomes could have been much worse. Hopefully some good will come of the recent stories.

Here in New Zealand we were priviliged to be able to kick off the Pro Life Day of Silent Solidarity.
We had a pretty good time actually, 3 of us down at University of Canterbury. Handed out 450 flyers, and also 4 others came past and asked for duct-tape to put over their mouths. Here’s some pictures for y’all…

There was a man who had lost his wife and life was getting hard. He dropped off 6 of his children. Or was it more? Babies to teens. There are all kinds of resources that are available out there to help families struggling. Makes me sad to think when times are tough some abandon their children.
That one man dropped off all but one (he kept the 18 year old he had). The others are with relatives. Its quite sad. I read the story and he was afraid of losing his house and other things.
I saw a college girl walking today with red tape over her mouth. I wish I’d been able to talk to her, but I was in my car. I hope she turned a few heads and made a few people think about abortion and our future president.
Janet, was the girl afraid of Bush Jr’s illegal wiretaps – she wanted to ensure she wouldn’t be overheard?
Janet, do you remember if the red tape had the word “LIFE” on it? If so, that’s actually part of the Pro Life Silent day.
