  • Operation Rescue reports today that the confirmation of KS Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, nominated for HHS Secretary, has been postponed until after Congress’ Easter recess. Some things just aren’t adding up:

While Sebelius was not questioned about her extremist abortion policies, concerns have been raised about them and about her $8,000 tax “error” that surfaced last week.

Tax evasion seems to be a common problem among Obama appointees….

OR President Troy Newman encourages voters to contact KS Sens. Roberts and Brownback to voice concerns about Sebelius.

  • Wesley Smith comments on a National Geographic article which claims that early humans actually cared for their disabled children rather than killing or abandoning them, as was previously thought:

The surprise comes because many scientists see us as just animals. But there is something–dare I say it, exceptional–about the human species, and apparently this distinction that makes such a huge difference has been part of us from the time we first began to emerge/evolve/were created (take your pick).

It appears that the modern, “abortion as a cure-all” movement has made it easy for us to replace our humanity with unnatural, animalistic behavior.

  • Big Blue Wave discusses Dr. Laura Schlessinger‘s endorsement of the Pope’s assessment on condom use.
Though she does not claim the Pope as her spiritual leader, Dr. Laura states:

The naysayers all have one thing in common: they refuse to want, believe or accept that human beings can commit to a higher spiritual state of thought and behavior.
The Pope believes in us more than that.

While acknowledging the fact that condoms offer some protection against venereal disease and pregnancy, she questions in the original Catholic Education article:

… [I]n the overall scheme of humanity, why do so many people wish to push away the enormous protective power of moral values?
