The researchers said preventing the need for abortion entirely was unrealistic, but said eliminating unsafe abortion by improving access to contraception and increasing pressure to lift abortion restrictions was a worthwhile and achievable goal….
“Women will continue to seek abortion whether it is safe or not as long as the unmet need for contraception remains high,” Camp said. “With sufficient political will, we can ensure that no woman has to die in order to end a pregnancy she neither wanted nor planned for.”
I guess they’re not on board with the pro-choice frame of “reducing the need” for abortion. That’s just unrealistic because women apparently will always need abortion.
Political will can somehow ensure that no woman will die from abortion? How ridiculous is that statement?
The appendix table 1 is useful in providing a list of countries and the reasons abortion is legally permitted in those countries.
On the way, the bleeding got worse. The pain became almost unbearable. They headed towards St. Jerome Hospital. She arrived at about 1 pm, and underwent an emergency operation in which she received a blood transfusion. She told le Journal de Montreal that the staff told her that had she arrived five minutes later, it could have been fatal. “They saved my life,” she said.
She says that she is traumatized and wonders if she will ever be able to have more children. But she was even more traumatized by what happened AFTER the abortion, when she tried to reach the abortionist on several occasions, but to no avail. At this point, she doesn’t want to talk to him, and intends to lay a complaint against him.

US President Barack Obama got a blunt question from an unexpected quarter Thursday — a daring nine-year-old boy who asked “why do people hate you?”
Obama, appeared tickled by the question, saying “hey, that’s what I’m talking about,” adding “I did get elected president, so not everybody hates me now… I got a whole lot of votes.”
——————————————————
Well the over exagerated hyperbole of the nine year old aside.
Everyone does NOT hate B.O.
The lame scream media is still fighting amongst themselves to determine who will have the privelege of carrying his water/emptying B.O.’s chamber pot/bed pan.
B.O. correctly reminds us that he is the president and he did WIN the election, therefore B.O. correctly concludes NOT everybody hates him.
What B.O. failed to note, which is a glaring omission: If the election were held today B.O. would be just another also ran.
The only other politicians with higher disapprovals and lower approvals than B.O. is Nanci Pelosi and Harry Reid.
What’s ‘hate’ got to do with it?
Or race or nationality.
B.O. is a dud and he would be a dud no matter who his parents are and no matter where he was born.
(All you race baiters stop thinking milk dud.)

I saw the rediculous “700,000 women die from unsafe abortion…” number in my local paper. My first thoughts were “says who?” and “how, exactly, did they figure out this WORLDWIDE statistic, considering that the figures in the U.S. alone are unreliable at best?”. I continued reading the article long enough to hit “Alan Guttmacher Institute”. That answered my questions easily. Stuff and nonsense. I don’t trust the research arm of PLANNED PARENTHOOD to come up with trustworthy figures on any kind of abortion-related mortality, either as it relates to mothers or babies, but especially mothers. Planned Parenthood is wonderful for pulling shocking-sounding numbers out of their behinds without much (or any) factual basis and using them to further their agenda.
And Army Wife, I’ll show you EXACTLY how Guttmacher arrived at the 70,000 number.
If you look at their article, on page 32, they state “Globally, an estimated 70,000 women die every year as a
result of unsafe abortions,137” where the number 137 refers to reference number 137 found at the end of the article. This reference should presumably tell us the methodology by which the author arrived at the number 70,000. Here is what reference 137 says:
137. Åhman E, estimate for 2005, personal communication,
Feb. 3, 2009.
No methodology. No work shown. They got the number from some dude.
So Army Wife, an average Planned Parenthood employee spends 90 minutes a day picking their nose. Now you can write a “scholarly” research paper where you can say with moral certainty that PP employees spend 90 minutes a day picking their nose, and as PROOF, you can cite me, Bobby Bambino, some dude form the internet, as the source for this fact.
Bobby,
They thought that if they hid the made-up facts deep enough that no one would notice. Good detective work!
