Jivin J’s Life Links 11-4-09

I would note that much of what Johnson says in the transcribed interview is basically the exact same thing you hear every Planned Parenthood director say: Abortion is only 3% of services. I’m pro-choice because I heard stories about back-alley abortions. Pro-life protesters harass our patients. Yada yada yada….
It’s almost like they’ve been given a script.
The primary example was in 1984 when the Vatican instructed religious orders to dismiss nuns who refused to retract their claim that Catholics held a range of opinions on abortion rights. Instead, the leaders talked to Vatican officials and resolved the issue with no ousters of nuns.
But that was a different era, said Sister Beth Rindler, co-coordinator of the National Coalition of American Nuns, a group of nuns who push for women’s ordination, gay rights, abortion rights and an end to war.
“We’re standing with her very much. We consider her one of our prophets,” said Rindler, a Franciscan Sister of the Poor. “She’s standing with women who she believes can make good moral decisions.”
I am willing to make a prediction here:Sr.Donna Quinn will leave her order rather than give up her death dealing activities as an abortion mistress.
I for one will be glad to see her gone. We need to clean out these Gaia loving, tree hugging nutbars that have entrenched themselves in our convents and seminaries.
Sr. Quinn is already excommunicated. Be gone!
You’re a PEACEKEEPER Sister Donna Quinn? No, you are a delusional looney! How bout you escort the woman into the clinic and then take your seat at the woman’s feet in the abortion table stirrups. Then watch as the doctor pulls arms and legs out of the patient and scrapes little torsos and heads into a bucket. THATS PEACEKEEPING? Yeah, really peaceful. You’re a disgrace to Catholicism.
“It’s almost like they’ve been given a script.”
I wouldn’t even be so generous as to say almost! A script is the simplest explanation for her sudden 180. The idea that she was forced to convert is of course ludicrous. She had the option to just quit quietly and go into some unrelated field; instead, she’s fully embraced the pro-life cause. That doesn’t sound like the behavior of a harrassed, frightened person to me.
‘Straying nuns.’
I get a mental picture of confused sisters repeatedly wandering into the wrong convent or even monastery.
There was an episcopalian priestess up in Seattle who strayed pretty far afield into new age mysticism. She even had some of her devoted/deceived follwers channeling up spirits with her.
The Episcopalian hierarchy called a meeting to determine whether the priestess had overstepped her ministerial boundaries.
One inquisitor even publicy questioned the priestess loyalty to the scriptures and church teaching.
I can just see the priestess and her devoted followers sitting in a circle on Sunday morning pounding on drums and rubbing their crystals and/or stroking their pet rocks and chanting in unison to the great mother earth.
I tend to share the inquisitors concerns.
Sister Strangelove has kissed the bible goodbye and only keeps it around now to press dry flowers.

They are called ‘talking points’.
Saves a lot of mental heavy lifting which is hard labor for people who’s minds are unaccustomed to havning to actually think and reason for themselves.
HAL commented on this lazy mind thing a while back.
This is how B.O. got elected.

I have never known anyone who is harassed into a conversion. And this lady left a lucrative job for a volunteer position.
