Tebow upstages The Who: “Don’t abort my g-g-generation”
I thought The Who looked and sounded pretty darn good during the Super Bowl halftime show.
But we didn’t wonder why “My Generation” was omitted from the repertoire. Oh, I don’t know, lines like, “I hope I die before I get old,” originally sung 45 years ago (!) could strike some people as funny.
For youngsters in the crowd, here’s The Who’s Woodstock rendition….
If you couldn’t understand the lyrics, read them here
Do I have a pro-life point here?
Ah, yes. The day before the Super Bowl the Satirical Political Report wrote that Tim Tebow’s message would be, “Don’t abort the next g-g-generation.”

What better message than the one you just described? =)
Good post Jill! I thought The Who looked and sounded pretty good too, but I have a fondness for old rockers as it takes me back to my youth :)
Isn’t it the saddest thing to think, that most of the generations that would have heard this song are dead. It is almost surreal, if you really think about it.
Although it was fun to see the Who play during half-time, my husband stated “I think Peter Townsend is having a wardrobe malfunction” we really didn’t enjoy seeing his white fleshy stomach when his shirt kept flying open. LOL
