• Fr. Frank Pavone reminds us that even though many will suggest pro-lifers “agree to disagree” with pro-choicers, “abortion is not about beliefs; it’s about bloodshed. It’s not about viewpoints, it’s about victims.”

• Pro-Life Action League notes 39 states now have parental involvement laws and points to a Ms. Magazine blog which described AK’s recent passage as “unfortunate.” This view, according to PLAL, “sums up the attitude of radical feminists, Planned Parenthood, the ACLU and others who seek the breakdown of the traditional family.”
• Bryan Kemper blogs about Planned Parenthood WI’s 75th birthday celebration, promoted by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
• Mommy Life discusses the latest reports on the drop in the US birth rate, and notes the 2009 rate was the lowest in a century.
• Wesley J. Smith discusses an article suggesting that doctors’ religious beliefs (or lack thereof) can affect ethical decisions surrounding terminally ill patients.While noting the proponents of assisted suicide tend to be atheist or Unitarian, Smith believes “what matters is that [each doctor] accepts human exceptionalism and adheres to the Hippocratic tradition of valuing each individual patient equally, giving each optimal care, and never participating in the intentional taking of human life.”
