- A UK man named Craig Connell has been sentenced to a year in prison after attempting to strangle his pregnant girlfriend. He also apparently tried to force her to swallow abortion pills.
- One of the Abortioneers laments times when her clinic has to turn women away for abortions because they are too far along and their children are too big for them to kill at their clinic:
It kinda sucks when someone is too far to be seen at the clinic and you have to turn them away. Of course, lots of effort goes into ensuring she can see another provider; but sometimes that means the patient has to wait several days or travel a long distance (possibly even out of state) to be seen.
- The wife of Chen Guangcheng is reporting that her husband may be released by Chinese authorities. He is a blind activist who was jailed after uncovering a variety of human rights abuses including forced abortions and sterilizations.
- The trial of abortionist Rapin Osathanondh has been delayed for another week. Osathandondh is charged with manslaughter after his negligence led to the death of Laura Hope Smith.

Of course, lots of effort goes into ensuring she can see another provider; but sometimes that means the patient has to wait several days or travel a long distance (possibly even out of state) to be seen.
My friend had to wait eighteen years and travel across the Atlantic to have a functional jaw. My mom had to drive long distances to take my grandparents to see specialists several times a year. So, yeah, not getting all worked up about the awfulness of having to travel to kill your own child.
Oh abortioneer ladies, I hear ya! It sucks when women wait so long and you can’t kill the baby in their arms. Then they have to like, put the baby up for adoption or raise the child themselves. I wish we lived in a country where we could just like, kill babies whenever and wherever we felt like it. That would be real freedom of choice. It SUCKS. Darn big developed babies. They are such a pain!
Darn how fast those babies grow in their momma’s wombs huh Syd?? Like in 9 short months there is a fully developed baby! Ugh!
“It kinda sucks when someone is too far to be seen at the clinic and you have to turn them away. Of course, lots of effort goes into ensuring she can see another provider”
Hold the phones, Gladys!! Did she just write “someone is too far along..” and “you have to turn THEM away” so “she can see another..” Did this abortioneer realize she just acknowledged everything we say, that SOMEONE is a PERSON and the pregnant woman is NOT ALONE but that THEY come to the facility together?????
BOoyaA!
Ninek, I’d sure like to think the truth slipped through– but keep in mind that nowadays “them” is also the (ungrammatical) pronoun standing for “person” or “someone.” Probably an attempt to be gender-neutral and not have to use “him” for everyone male and female, but just used reflexively by most people even when the gender is obvious. Believe it or not, I’ve seen people use “person,” “them” and “she” in the same sentence to refer to the same person! (It’s one of my pet peeves).
*sarcastic* Nah, forced abortions don’t happen, only forced births. Don’t you know, legalized abortion is supposed to help women in abusive situation, now if she had only had the abortion, she wouldn’t have a baby & everything would of turned out just peachy *rolls eyes*
I’ll take it as a Freudian slip! They mean they as in she, but I think they are slipping.
Could be!
Love the sarcasm prolifers, especially “nay forced abortions don’t happen, only forced births”. Great line Rachael C. You have to laugh to keep from crying because this is so sick and pathetic. The Dead Babies R Us crew is still working to guarantee every woman that wants a dead baby will get one, no questions asked, no parental notice or consent and NO WAITING allowed either. We must have dead babies on demand.
Women have to WAIT to have their child killed ? Oh, no! THE HORROR!!

Huh??? Am I missing something here? If a woman is too far [along, I presume] to be seen at the clinic, how is it that she is not too far along to be seen by another provider?
This is scary to me, in more ways than one.
Hi Claire. It’s because certain providers offer “abortions up to x number of weeks” while others (like LeRoy Carhart and Curtis Boyd, and the late George Tiller) specialize in “late-term” abortions past 22 or 24 weeks (5 1/2 mos and beyond). I actually just got the shivers writing “5 1/2 months.” I can’t even imagine what kind of butchers these guys are… :(
My daughter goes to PP for Depo shots??? Tried to talk to her yesterday but she said she only paid $10 for pap instead of $250 — She is #30 yrs old. I am a post abortive 50+ woman who has found God’s healing grace at Racheal’s Vineyard week end. Could not find the words to say—
Well, the first thing I’d try to talk her out of are the Depo shots. Those things are nasty for your body. And unlike the Pill, you can’t just stop taking it and have it out of your system in a day or two. It takes months.
I’ll pray that you find the right words to reach her. I’m sure it doesn’t occur to her what else goes on behind those walls… she’s just trying to survive a really difficult economy.

WOW. I should have realized that. When Tiller died, I read that he was the last abortionist who was doing partial-birth abortions (though the last trimester), so I wasn’t thinking of the facts you cited.
I have several friends who delivered preemie babies before the 24-week point, and those children (one is in her 30s) are doing very well today. The one in her 30s is very active working with her local Crisis Pregnancy Refuce Center. When she shows her birth picture (where she weighed just 2 lbs.) to pregnant women, they are amazed to see her sitting before them, alive, well, happy — a productive citizen.
There’s good reason, even from a pro-choice medical standpoint, that women must be turned away from an abortion clinic past a certain point. To the best of my knowledge, most clinics don’t do abortions past around 14 weeks or so because it becomes riskier. I don’t know up until what point the clinic the Abortioneers worker works at but I find it rather disturbing that if this woman is too far along to get an abortion they are just refer her to another clinic. In the best interest of the health of the woman, and depending on how far along she actually is, it may best to tell her that abortion at this point really isn’t in the best interest of her health. “Late-term” abortions are much riskier to the mother, is it really in her best interest just to send her somewhere else rather than tell her the truth?
