- Linda Meek, the former director of a Tulsa abortion clinic pleaded guilty to reporting a false bomb threat. She’ll be sentenced in January:Meek, who is no longer employed at the clinic, told the court Thursday that she bought an egg timer at a department store Aug. 13, set it so it would start ticking, and put it in her trash can. She then called the police and reported a bomb….
Meek has never given a reason for falsely reporting a bomb.
- A “For Sale” sign has been posted outside abortionist George Tiller’s old office:
David Gittrich of the anti-abortion group Kansans for Life sent an e-mail to members Thursday mentioning the sign. He also floated the idea of buying the former clinic and turning it into a memorial for the fetuses aborted there.
- This gives you a good look into the ideology of the members of the Detroit Free Press editorial board. They decided against endorsing a local judicial candidate in the primary election solely because she was endorsed by a pro-life group.
- Abortion is playing a role in Brazil’s presidential election:
Abortion has become a big issue in Brazil’s presidential election after religious activists dropped support for leading candidate Dilma Rousseff due to her past support for legalizing it….
A 2007 interview Rousseff had given declaring it was “necessary to legalize abortion” as a matter of public health that began furiously circulating on the Internet. Many evangelical churches called on their followers to not vote for her….
Rousseff herself said she underestimated “the conservative forces” ranged against her, and blamed the Internet campaign and “religious values” on her lower-than-expected score.
Since becoming Lula’s chosen successor, she has changed her tone on abortion, saying Tuesday she is “above all, in favor of life.”
Politicians like that can never, ever be trusted.
The Tulsa World article on the clinic director that faked a bomb threat is so typical. It barely even describes what she did or why, and then goes on to describe a supposed increase in “criminal activity” by pro-lifers.
Hi David,
Which begs the question, if there is such an increase in PL criminal activity, why was it necessary to fake a bomb threat?
‘a memorial for the fetuses aborted there’…? That sounds so…clinical. How about “a memorial for the pre-born babies killed there” ? I would go so far as to say “the babies MURDERED there”, but that’s me. To me, the word “fetus” belongs to “them”- the pro-aborts. WE know it means “little one” or “young one” in Latin, but which word makes the point better that we’re talking about TINY, HELPLESS HUMAN BEINGS here, “Babies”, or “fetuses”?
It is all part of that horrid movement’s attempts to dehumanize unborn children.
David, the original version of the article did not contain the last couple of paragraphs. My guess is that the author is fair-minded, but had to change the article on the order of a pro-abortion editor.
Kelsey: Interesting catch. Thanks.
I say level Tiller’s old death mill. Obliterate it from the landscape and build a CPC… something with WINDOWS in it to let in the light and let it be forgotten forever. The less notoriety Tiller gets in the future, the better for everyone.
oh Biggz….Biggz! Please lecture us about how scary and violent we are and how this abortion clinic director felt so threatened when she wound up an egg timer and tossed it into the trash can!
LOL, Sydney! ;)
