Mom in labor votes on the way to the hospital
With contractions five minutes apart, Galicia Malone stopped at Precinct 88 in Chicago to cast her vote on her way to the hospital, according to the Cook County Clerk’s Office.
Malone, 21, was determined to vote in her first presidential election, even though her water had broken. She voted at around 8:30 a.m. at the fittingly-named New Life Celebration Church, according to ABC News’ Chicago affiliate WLS-TV.
Once she had voted, she headed to the hospital to deliver her baby.

And of course she voted for Obama. I feel so depressed – even Mia Love lost.

I’m sorry, but that was just about the stupidest news story I ever saw. Who the heck CARES? We all break away from the pressing cares of daily life to go vote! So what do you want, Lady, a medal? I mean, all the best to you and your baby, etc., but seriously….

Well, I think it’s notable. Yes, we all break away from the pressing cares of daily life to go vote, but I wouldn’t exactly call “giving birth” a daily thing for an individual woman – especially not if this is her first child. wtf?

This woman claims to be pro-life but voted for Obama to save PBS because if babies have to die so that her daughter can get a big bird fix SO BE IT. And of course PBS can’t subsist on its own the way other stations do. We must all be forced to pay for its boring programming.
Seriously, the fact that clueless Americans like this woman live here and vote gives me no hope for our future.

Thought process here is baffeling: I am currently in labor, about to bring my child into the outside world for all to meet…but I’m going to drop by the polling place and vote for someone who thinks I should be able to kill my baby if I head to an abortionists instead of a birth center.
Yeah, that makes sense.

Jespren, I guess it makes sense if your thoughts are dominated in this way: me, me, me, me, me, me, etc.

Of course she voted for Obama. She wants her entitlements. Where’s the kid’s father? Wouldn’t he at least be concerned enough to accompany her to the hospital?
Also, didn’t Illinois have absentee ballots? If she knew she was due around election day, she could have voted early.
