Stanek Sunday funnies 4-21-13
Here were my top five favorite political cartoons this week. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite in the poll at the bottom of the post.
I mentioned last Sunday I anticipated more political cartoons about Kermit Gosnell to be forthcoming. Of course, none of us knew the Boston Marathon bombing was just one day away, which understandably diverted attention from the infanticide abortionist. But liberal Signe Wilkinson at GoComics.com still found time to blame pro-lifers for the mass murderer…
Conservative Chip Bok at Townhall.com noted with sarcasm what I’m sure is absolutely true in some circles…
Speaking of infanticide, liberal Jim Morin at GoComics.com thinks there’s just no time to legislate against it…
On to other news of the week, first by Steve Breen at …
And closing out with another good one by Chip Bok at Townhall.com…

So it turns out the brothers kookoobomba have been in the country legally for quite a while.
One of these peace loving muslims recently took the oath to become a naturalized U.S. Citizen:
I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereigntyof whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform :noncombatant service in the Armed Forcesof the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.
Bringing jihad to America, two angry white men clinging to their IED’s and their religion doing their part to de-populate the planet.
I guess they watched ‘django’ one too many times.
Just relieved they werent’ NASCAR fans and NRA members.
Gosnell had the media’s attention for a weekend, then POOF — it’s gone. Not important anymore.
No one cares but the pro-life zealots — and the pro-abortion zealots who try to blame us for Gosnell’s abortion business atrocities.
Look how kindly Gosnell smiles upon the cute little white girl in Signe Wilkinson’s cartoon….
The brief case reads “no safe clinics”, “no birth control” “no insurance”.
Come on, when abortion was legalized 40 years ago that guaranteed safe clinics, right? Does Signe not realize its PL people who have fought for regulation and inspection?
No birth control? Last I heard its still legal and obtainable.
No insurance? What’s PP for? Don’t they provide valuable “health care” services to women?
I love the one about pressure cookers. You’d almost think that when people want to kill badly enough, they can make a deadly weapon out of anything.
Hi Ken,
That great thinker Chris Matthews and his asanine assertions about this being the work of the “far right”. Like you, I’m relieved those notorious domestic bombers like the NRA, NASCAR fans, and Tea Party members weren’t involved. BTW, didn’t Obama have a few neighbors, who he barely knew of course, who were domestic bombers? Do the names Bill and Bernadine ring a bell? Charming couple.
Anyway, I’m convinced poor Chris suffered brain damage when that Obama induced tingle he gets up his leg hit him in the butt. I thought the poor man had already gone off the deep end when he spoke of Bill Clinton communing with martians, however he did show some signs of rationality when he said Billy (goat) Clinton would know how to reproduce with the martian ladies.
How can we save human lives when the Everglade restoration project is a mess?!
Unbelievable. And since when does the left not want to legislate something?!

I know, it’s ridiculous. I’m totally for protecting the Everglades and fixing our economy, but it’s not like passing the born alive protection stalled these other products.
*projects. Can’t type.
Let’s be clear: The Born-Alive Infant bill passed the Florida House with unanimous bi-partisan support. The Gosnell atrocities have clearly shown that we need to have this legislation. And political cooperation on this bill can only help the Florida legislators to work well on those other projects.
Meanwhile, Obama continues to prattle on about gun control. He’s using that as a distraction — doesn’t he have a stubbornly sluggish economy to work on, a persistent shortage of jobs, a war to manage, and a HUGE Federal Budget problem to solve? What about all of those lawsuits over loss of our Religious Freedom? How about something for immigration reform, in respect to all of those Hispanic Americans who gave him another term? How about a little something to earn that Nobel Peace Prize that was paid in advance for the HOPE he would bring? How about remembering all of us who voted against him — He said that he “heard us” on election day.
How about a little something to unite America — like the way that Gosnell has united Florida.
I chose #2 because this is just the kind of thing the lamestream media does and it points out that the pro-abortion agenda is also a pro-infanticide agenda and is in fact a pro-death agenda.
#1 is so full of deception and lies it’s just pathetic. #3 just exposes how pro-abortionists and much of the culture at large thinks all kinds of things are more important than the lives of helpless innocent human beings, which is sad and disgusting. #4 is heartbreaking and true. #5 is ironic and makes me wonder if we will have to register our pressure cookers now.
“#1 is so full of deception and lies it’s just pathetic.”
Well, I thought it made a point despite itself. If women don’t have support and care they might do some desperate things. Obviously it’s silly to think there is NO access to birth control, or that abortion clinics are actually “safe” (the baby always dies if nothing else). But I really can’t see 99% of women ever going to a place like Gosnell’s if they didn’t feel like that had few if any options.
I don’t know about that, Jack.
How many people have you talked to who assume something is okay just because it is legal, and base their entire argument for abortion around that premise?
Jack I believe you are right in the sense that pro-lifers must keep working at doing a better job of reaching people and providing options, even if the abortion industry and the government is trying to make this more and more difficult for us.
Xalise, you also have a good point. Plus some people will just go where they can get the least expensive abortion.
