Planned Parenthood CEO: Gov’t works better with everyone in the room
Government works better when everybody is in the room.
~ Planned Parenthood Federation of America CEO Cecile Richards, making an ironic statement on more than one level at the Women in the World 2014 conference last week, as quoted the Thomas Reuters Foundation, March 10

Unless you’re pre…
Or you’re pro…
Nah, too easy.
A person in the womb
Is also in the room
Don’t send them to their doom!
Well, when 21% of Americans are killed before they ever draw breath outside the womb, it’s pretty difficult to have *everyone* in the room, Cecile. :(
Who knew?? Ninek is a poet!???
After reading the article I think that Cecile meant women in particular. She wants more women in the room to tip the balance in the abortion/ contraception debate.
Her biggest problem though, from my perspective, is that many women are pro-life so her numbers don’t look so hot now and into the future…
What was the temperature in the room they were interviewing in? Cecile looks like she’s ready to work the streets on a hot summer night and the woman interviewing her looks like she preparing for a blizzard.
Well, when 21% of Americans are killed before they ever draw breath outside the womb, it’s pretty difficult to have *everyone* in the room, Cecile. :(
Touché Jack.
I’ve always though that Cecile looks like a really bad drag queen. Just the sight of her makes me ill.
I have to disagree with cecile. To have a rational, well functioning, healthy, equitable and just society there are certain elements it is better to not have ‘in the room’.
If we’re going to judge people on their looks…….
We should not judge people on their looks. Looks have nothing to do with whether or not you’re a good person.
I for one don’t judge women on their looks. I do judge women on how they dress and influence our young people. If you claim to be an intelligent woman, dress the part.
I have zero respect for women who wear lingerie in public. It degrades all women.
Great poem 9ek!
I do judge women on how they dress – and treat them as you judge them to be?
If you claim to be an intelligent woman, dress the part – what sartorial construct tells us whether a woman is intelligent or not?
I trust you mean exposed lingerie, not just lingerie full stop ;-)
More specifically: Did Cecile Richards and the Women in the World Conference 2014 address the missing women of the world namely female infanticide and sex selection abortions? Probably not.
Probably not.
Like an elephant in the room, these women don’t want to see the children in the wombs who they support putting in their tombs.
