Sharon Osbourne: Abortion was “the worst thing I ever did”
I had an abortion at 17 and it was the worst thing I ever did…. I went alone. I was terrified. It was full of other young girls, and we were all terrified and looking at each other and nobody was saying a bloody word. I howled my way through it, and it was horrible. I would never recommend it to anyone because it comes back to haunt you.
When I tried to have children, I lost three — I think it was because something had happened to my cervix during the abortion.
~ Talk show host Sharon Osbourne (wife of Ozzy) describing her abortion experience, joining the ranks of other celebrities such as Stevie Nicks, Sinead O’Connor, and Toni Braxton, as quoted by National Review, June 2
Your comment will help so many women.
Thank you Sharon!

I think her daughter had one, too.

“I think her daughter had one, too.”
– I think we should allow any woman to decide her own way to reveal such private news, if and when she wants to.
If she has, a comment like this should have some substantiation. Otherwise, some would consider this type of talk to be in the range of “gossip.”

Pro-lifers and pro-borts agree on one thing: Abortion should not be a silent shame that festers in the darkness of privacy.

Wendy Davis, on the campaign trail in Texas for the governor ship continued to embellish her bio today explaining, in her own words, why government sponsored and paid for abortion makes sense.
“My mother was not covered by anything like Obamacare back in the day, and was forced to have the procedure in a back water hospital along the border to Mexico. She was a 12 year old pre-teen about to be mother living under a cactus somewhere on the plains until she was able to redeem enough bottles to pay for the procedure along with some help from her boy friend Bobby Joe, who had a big hat, but no cattle thanks to those greedy republican cattle barons who wouldn’t let a rustler get ahead through a little bit of re-distribution”.

Hi Marlene,
This Wendy Davis story:
Puh-leeeeeze.
However give the woman credit. Her imagination knows no limit.
Also, if her mother lived in the “backwater” it figures she’d go to some “back water” hospital.
Also, shouldn’t “Bobby Joe”, a name about as believable as “John Smith” have been arrested for child rape?

Good point Mary. Oh my heavens some pro aborts have to make up this nonsense to make it look as though their only option was an abortion. Ive read that Stevie Nicks had one but not 4! Id read she wrote the song Sarah for her aborted child.

And yes of course Sharon its been proven there can be damage to your cervix after an abortion!!! Thats why many women require stitching of the cervix. Abortions cause a multitude of health problems. Emotional and physical. I meet sterile women in Ohio from botched abortions. I met a 26 year old who almost bled to death after her abortion at Preterm. Same clinic that killed Lakisha Wilson. It can cause uterine perforation. This 26 year old HAD to have a hysterectomy.

Hi heather,
I also have to be highly skeptical of these celebrity tales of teenage “coathanger” abortions. For kids they were remarkably adept with the coathanger, since they apparently suffered no injury. If they did, then please, the medical records, then I might be convinced.
Stevie Nicks couldn’t obtain or afford birth control?
Also, Wendy seems to have a tale of woe for every occasion.

Mary its so true what great legnths and lies ( imo ) that these women will go to. Whoopi Goldberg aka Karen Johnson claimed to have given herself a coathanger abortion at age 14 in the middle of Central Park! You just aborted and pulled your pants up and walked home? Thats what she claims. Im not buying it. No infection? No perforation? She went on to have 1 living daughter and 8 more legal abortions.

Also if Whoopis abortion went off without a hitch why legalize it? Apparently shes got it down to a science. I mean a 14 year old did it in the dark! Why do we need abortion clinics?

Marlene, do you have a source for that quote.

Nevermind, it appears to be from the following satirical website.

Hi JDC,
LOLLL. What a hoot.
I stand corrected. Like you I should have asked for a source.
Given Wendy’s penchant for tales of woe, I jumped to conclusions and shouldn’t have.

There is a book out there called The Choices We Made. Its about celebs and their abortions. I will not buy the book but Whoopi is in there with her coathanger abortion story. Anne Archers dad took her to Mexico at 18 for an illegal abortion so she could pursue her dream of becoming an actress. None are in there for life of the mother.

I am sorry, I must have gotten her mixed up with someone else.
Anne Archer was never an A-lister and you don’t hear of her anymore at all, so I wonder how much having a child would have stood in the way of her career.
I always thought Whoopi Goldberg was obnoxious. It’s interesting that her daughter had a baby quite young.
“None are in there for life of the mother.”
Of course not. It’s all about ME ME ME!
