Jill Stanek is a nurse turned speaker, columnist and blogger, a national figure in the effort to protect both preborn and postborn innocent human life.
Absolutely love #6.
Boy do we need to pray for our government.
I’m voting for #3 on this one because trying to claim some kind of mandate from people who didn’t vote is one of the stupidest thing’s I’ve ever heard of.
Hi JDC,
I know Obama could lower the sea levels, but his ability to hear and understand the words of people who didn’t say anything is truly amazing.
I voted for #7-of-5.
Even as left coast Oregon voters were legalizing recreational marijuana and expanding Democratic majorities in state government, they decided by a margin of 66-34 to CANCEL a new state law that would have provided driver’s licenses to people who are in the United States illegally.
.
The state law easily passed last year with bipartisan support in the democRAT-controlled Legislature and was signed democRAT Gov. John Kitzhaber, who was re-elected Nov. 4.
.
Opponents barely gathered enough signatures to put the repeal question on the ballot.
.
Immigrant rights groups outspent their opponents 2-1 [ T W O to O N E ].
.
Still, the measure failed in every county but the state’s most liberal one, Multnomah, home to Portland.
.
Even there it trailed significantly behind other Democratic candidates and causes.

Hi Ken,
Well that is certainly one bit of good news!
Mary,
It is good news for America because it bad news for the boRAT.
.
If the electorate in a left coast democRAT bastion like Oregon repeals an existing ‘illegal immigrant’ friendly law, then what is the mood of the electorate in the other 49 states concerning ‘immigration reform/amnesty’.
I just watched a trailer for the new ‘Exodus’ movie.
.
Pharoh believes he is the boRAT.
Number 5 is the best – I think it would be really, really, really interesting if the Supremes side against Obamacare on this one – I think the GOP would be screwed.
Obamacare is settled – it might look different – it might even go under a different name after a reform – but if anybody thinks the GOP is going to made 15 million + people uninsured, bring back insurance company discrimination against pre-existing conditions, kick all sorts of young adults off of plans, and speed up the timetable to Medicare running out of money – if anybody thinks the GOP is going to do that and come out smelling like roses – I’d like to hear that argument.
“I’d like to hear that argument.”
okay, heregoes:
I can barely keep food on the table for my kids. Why should I be forced to pay for someone else’s kidney transplant due to their pre-existing condition?
Boom! Sounds like a valid reason to me X.
Health care needs to be fixed.
Obamacare made a marginal system worse.
xalisae/Ed –
I want to make sure I’m not putting words in your mouth – but you both seem to be advocating that we completely get rid of the concept of insurance, and those who can afford care, get care, and those who don’t, die. Treat it like any other free market good – is that what you are saying?
X,
xclnt!
‘I think it would be really, really, really interesting if the Supremes side against Obamacare on this one – I think the GOP would be screwed’
Ex-RINO, quit Grubering all over this blog. Only a narcissistic statist like you could seriously try to twist the blame to the GOP if the Supreme Court rejects parts of a law that was passed w/o any GOP votes.
I’m not putting the blame on the GOP – I’m saying it would put the GOP in a massively hard place.
The Dems would say “let’s fix the language, almost 10 million people just lost their health insurance, health insurance that is more popular than traditional health insurance (see Gallup poll).”
The GOP would then either have to give in and okay the fix, thus supporting the law, or they’ll be the party that just took 10 million people and took away their insurance.
You can write the add already in our state truth – “Ron Johnson voted to disallow thousands of Wisconsin residents insurance” I mean, he’s probably toast anyway, but that would really do him in.
Ex-RINO’s unrelenting Grubering is leaving a gooey slime everywhere he posts.
ex-rino,
.
do you lie to your own children as effortlessly and as shamelessly as you lie to us?
What’s the lie Ken? (and may I point out that you, without fail, for a long time posted that you believed the President was born in a foreign country)
I’m also assuming you know the difference between a lie and an opinion – I could point you to some good dictionary sites if you aren’t positive though.
“The Dems would say “let’s fix the language, almost 10 million people just lost their health insurance, health insurance that is more popular than traditional health insurance (see Gallup poll).”
And the GOP would agree that we need to fix the language and would look forward to presenting a ‘fix’ but not by jumping into the pile of swill that is Obamacare.
Ex-RINO, If the CBO had scored Obamacare with government subsidies “fix’ you are talking about making and with subsidies being given to these 10 million people who are not on State run exchanges then the CBO would have scored Obamacare as a HUGE deficit maker. That is precisely what Gruber was referring to when he said that the law was written in such twisted language in order to deceive the American people.
In legal briefs submitted last year to a federal district court in Virginia, Obama administration attorneys cited Mr. Gruber in a case defending their ability to pay subsidies to enrollees regardless of whether they are part of state-run or federally run health care exchanges.
“According to the calculations of one health care economist, without the minimum coverage provision and subsidized insurance coverage, premiums for single individuals would be double the amount anticipated under the ACA,” the Justice Department wrote in a legal brief last November, citing Mr. Gruber’s work in a footnote.

truth –
I’m not going to even research the validity of that – I’m just going to say sure, the GOP can go the route of telling the millions that lost insurance that they are too expensive – that they are on their own.
Fascinated to see how that would work out for them.
From Bob Schieffer, host of CBS’s ‘Face the Nation’-
SCHIEFFER: I was dumbstruck when I heard the comments that are surfacing from an economist named Jonathan Gruber, who was paid $400,000 to help shape the president’s health care plan. First, he allowed as how the plan passed only because of a lack of transparency and, this is a direct quote, “the stupidity of the American people.” (More accurately, “lack of transparency is a huge political advantage” is also a direct quote from Gruber).
.
Then Friday our Nancy Cordes found a couple of other things he [Gruber] said going back to 2011 —
GRUBER: … first by mislabeling it, calling it a tax on insurance plans rather than a tax on people and we all know it’s really a tax on people who hold those insurance plans.
SCHIEFFER: And there was this about Massachusetts’ health care plan —
GRUBER: The dirty secret in Massachusetts is the feds pay for our bill, OK … Ted Kennedy and smart people in Massachusetts had basically figured out a way to sort of rip off the feds for about $400 million a year.
SCHIEFFER: I’ll be honest — while I favor health insurance I am not wild about the new plan and how it became law either. But here is my question for Mr. Gruber — if all this was as bad as you say, why did you take the money you earned as an adviser? Nor is it too late to give it back. What we have here is another example of the sorry state of American politics where people take money for things in which they don’t believe and whether it’s good for the American people is not even a question”…
.
[Gruber is money grubbing whore of a democRAT who would sell his own mother out and has sold his children and grand children out, if the homosexual has sired any.]
truth –
Okay – I did read the article – you’re mixing numbers.
It’s true – without the subsidies, insurance would be more expensive for individual people.
But the CBO scored it with the subsidies – the fact that the subsidies exist was already scored, and with the subsidies, the bill was still revenue neutral (in fact, it more than paid for itself).
If the Supremes got rid of the subsidies, the law would then be bringing in a bunch more than it was paying out.
ex-rino and full time Gruberer,
If I innocently believe something that is not true, that does not make me a ‘liar’, a fool possibly, but not a liar.
.
the boRAT has never produced a valid certificate of live birth that would show where she was born and to whom and who her biological father is.
.
the boRAT is a proven liar, who has demonstrated repeatedly that the truth is no obstacle to her if it stands between her and what she desires.
.
Keep Grubering yourself if it helps you to sleep at night.
“I’m not going to even research the validity of that”
omg…too funny…lol
Ken –
Obama is a better man than you are.
truth –
I did a follow up post after looking into it – you are mixing numbers.
ex-rino,
Have you got your boRATatoo yet?
Ken, any idea what I can use to remove the slime when Ex-RINO Grubers all over me?
I think you are right, Ex-GOP. Obamacare has already altered the economics of American healthcare. We cannot put it back to where it was before.
Most Americans are hoping that the Republicans will come up with fixes and adjustments that we can live with.
Worst case is that we will end up with a wrenched-up mess — and the Supreme Court will likely be forced to give us that — and the Republicans cannot come up with anything better than blaming Obama and the Democrats.
Ex-RINO, the CBO scored Obamacare the w/o those subsidies because that was the way the law was written. If congress were to write a ‘fix’ that pays subsidies to 10 million more people then you are grubering all over yourself (and me) when you assert that they can pays subsidies for 10 million more people and it wouldn’t cost the government any more money. wth
ex-rino,
I have never raised my hand to woman, and I choose not to make an exception in your case.
.
If your words carried any weight at all, I would take your comparison as an insult of the lowest degree, even though you worship the boRAT like a goddess.
truth –
You are wrong – here’s the updated CBO from this year – scored with subsidies from both state and federal exchanges.
http://www.cbo.gov/publication/45159
“Many individuals and families will be able to purchase subsidized insurance through exchanges operated either by the federal government or by a state government,”
It is one of key bullet points.
ken –
He just is – I’m saying, what I know of you, which is just the online version of yourself, and what I know of him through the media.
You just seem to be a hateful, spiteful person – not somebody I would want my kids around. I’m not saying that Obama is the classiest person out there – far from it – but you quite frankly scare me – some of the hateful things you say. It’s why I ignored your posts a long time, and largely ignore them now. But without foundation, if you call me a liar, I’ll respond to it – and then a few of your hollow follow-ups, not proving anything.
Ex-RINO, what if Obama grants amnesty to 5 million illegal immigrants and they all get Obamacare subsidies…how does that effect the federal deficit and the deficits of the states who set up their own exchanges?
No effect on states or feds.
Truthseeker,
When my oldest daughter was about 13 years of age an older girl shared some explicit details of her sexual exploits.
.
My daughter came to my wife and I told us about the conversation. We could not unring that bell, but we could restore her innocence.
.
I asked my daughter if she knew what a scum bag was. She said, “No”. I told her that a scum bag is a cloth that is wrapped around a pole and inserted into a septic tank to measure the thickness of the human waste that has settled to the bottom.
.
I told my daughter that satan had used this girl to smear her with a soiled scum bag.
.
My wife and I washed our daughter with the WORD of GOD and with prayer and, as we fellowshipped together, the blood of Jesus cleansed all of us.
.
‘Gruber’ has become a synonym for ‘scum bag’. The boRAT is in a sub strata all her own.
ex-rino,
I once heard of a woman who had a reputation of always being able to find something good in even the vilest person.
.
someone once challenged her to find something good about the devil.
.
She said the devil is always on the job.
.
I am sure she could even find something good to say about the boRAT or you.
.
You are a bright gal. It’s too bad you invest your talent in defending an anti-christ.
“No effect on states or feds”
Ex-RINO, how can you give 5 million more people subsidies without it costing anything?
Ex-RINO, what I meant to say is that you can’t you give 5 million more people subsidies and say it doesn’t cost anything unless you are grubering all over yourself and the the people you are directing your comments to.
Ken –
I’m still a man. Been one since birth.
Truth
They aren’t eligible. Only citizens.
Ken, prayer and the Word of God are great advice to protect the mind and the soul but what about the stench that grubers leave on everything?
Are you saying that Obama can create a class of five million legal citizens that aren’t required to follow the law and get insurance? Why should they be able to milk the system and not have to pay the tax penalties that everyone else has to pay?
Won’t they just flood our emergency rooms? Why would citizens want to be forced to pay Obamacare taxes to support the medical care of non-citizens who break the law and flood our emergency rooms?
ex-rino,
“You just seem to be a hateful, spiteful person – not somebody I would want my kids around.”
.
I seem to recall that the pharisees, saducees and lawyers had some similar complaints about Jesus. “Lord, you offend us too.” [Lk 11:42-54]
Well at least you didn’t accuse me of being a racist, sexist, homophobe or a democRAT.
.
People, both intimate friend and strangers, have recognized the good fruit in my life, which does not demonstrate my self-righteousness, but rather the LORD Jesus’ ability to hit a straight drive with a crooked stick.
.
You name the NAME of JESUS, but your blind devotion to a anti-christ who advocates things that are anathema to GOD betrays an inconsistency so blatant that it cannot be ignored.
.
You knowingly work for a liar and you justify it by saying she is not as bad as the republicans. You proudly identify yourself as an ex-republican but you are too cowardly and/or too ashamed to call yourself a democRAT.
.
You call yourself pro-life, but you labor for the most rabid abortion advocate who has ever infested the white house.
.
You call yourself a ‘christian’, but you serve a pagan who claims to be a ‘committed christian’. Even his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright, could not/would not vouch for the boRAT’s faith. The best Wright could say was he taught the boRAT how to act like a ‘christian’.
.
You have no credibility when it comes to christianity or the sanctity of life. Your words betray your confessions.
.
I love interacting with the ‘least of these’. The down and outers, the indigent, the unwashed and unloved. I don’t judge them, because they don’t pretend to be something they are not. I like visiting with them because they are honest. Some of them are followers of Jesus who are going thru a bad patch and they just need some encouragement to keep on keeping on in the LORD. I can relate to their struggle cause I have been there.
.
Throwing my money and/or someone else’s money at them is not going to solve their problem, cause money can’t buy what Jesus freely gives. But buying them a meal or giving them a ride or paying them for some work that needs to be done and showing them that Jesus loves them gives them enough hope to take one more step on the path that leads to life.
.
I have a niece who is a drug addict, but she cannot admit to the obvious. I try to help her whenever she asks, but I tell her that she has to be honest with me and not attempt to manipulate me. I tell her I am going to confront her when she slips into that dysfunctional mode and I give her permission to confront me when she sees me being inauthentic. She is in denial and she doesn’t even know it. She has deluded and deceived herself. But I have to give her credit. She has chosen life for two children she could have disposed of without any of us knowing. GOD is faithful even when we are not.
Heil the Fuhrer. Obama gruber alles

Look up amnesty and then come back.
Del –
I apologize for my part in it – feel free to delete my post attacking Ken.
truth –
First off, if you are worried about that – blame Reagan (after looking up EMTALA).
Only legal residents can obtain insurance through Obamacare.
Thank you Del,
An excellent post and reminder that we are guests here and must abide by Jill’s rules. They are posted on every thread.
It is also important to remember that visitors to this thread can form some not so favorable impressions of PL people when posters are hurdling insults at each other.
I think EGV(9:19PM) has taken the adult first step. I hope the others will follow suit.
Let’s just stick to the discussion.
First off, if you are worried about that – blame Reagan –
Ex-RINO, lol. Is Obama responsible for anything that happens?
f Obama breaks the law and uses an executive order to enable 5 million illegal aliens to remain in the country then I should blame Reagan if they use they use our emergency rooms while they are here?
“The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA)[1] is an act of the United States Congress, passed in 1986 as part of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA). It requires hospitals that accept payments from Medicare to provide emergency health care treatment to anyone needing it regardless of citizenship, legal status, or ability to pay. There are no reimbursement provisions. Participating hospitals may not transfer or discharge patients needing emergency treatment except with the informed consent or stabilization of the patient or when their condition requires transfer to a hospital better equipped to administer the treatment.[1]”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emergency_Medical_Treatment_and_Active_Labor_Act
truth – on my last post – you asked about people flooding emergency rooms. EMTALA was the open gate on that. The amnesty provisions Obama is looking at – I’ve seen nothing that would change emergency room rules.
I mean, you can laugh all you want, but I’d be more interested in hearing how the guy who signed into law a bill that allowed people regardless of citizenship to get emergency treatment regardless of pay – and how you were worried about people without citizenship getting treatment – I’m interested to hear how you connect the dots differently.
Though my guess is that was your last post on this thread…
Follow these dots if you can Ex-RINO…….
Obama is allowing 5 million illegal immigrants legal status to stay in our country…..they will be making use of our schools and our emergency rooms and in many states Medicaid…so how is Obama not responsible?????
truth –
Are you saying illegal immigrants have not been going to school? How has Obama’s actions changed the dynamic of school attendance.
What states are illegal immigrants getting medicaid as a result of Obama’s order?
And on emergency care treatment, are you saying that previously, any illegal immigrant has simply died instead of going to receive care? You seem to be implying that 5 million people had no access to emergency care, and now they do. You know this is untrue – Reagan guaranteed illegal immigrants free emergency room care – we’ve been through this. Obama did nothing to change it.
Ex-RINO,
I will make it simple for you. Immigrants should not get access to public resources until they go through the legal immigration process.
1) Secure the borders
2)pass a law that fixes the process that brings in the immigrants who are trying to come here legally.
3)pass a law that lays out criteria and a path for the illegal immigrants to register and become citizens of the US.
