Hey, they already call on the Huffington Post, so why not?
As an aside, I actually met Helen Thomas. She came to speak at my women’s college. At the time I thought she was awesome, now…not so much.
Ofcourse we can count on them promoting a very radical abortion agenda. They have two friends in Pelosi and BO.
if they only knew the first feminists for equal rights were AGAINST abortion…….
Smart of you, Jill, to keep tabs on the opposition: subscribe to their newsletter. Props to you.
Eeeeeew! When does the bra burning begin?
Oh goody. I have some assignments for MS intrepid reporters.
How about a MS reporter covering the beheading of the wife of Bridges TV in Buffalo, NY? How about a MS. reporter looking for the killer of Amina and Sara Said (their father who was upset they were not “muslim enough”). How about MS covering the 1000s of women arrested in Iran last summer for anti-Islamic fashion such as (gasp) veils not completely covering their hair, eye makeup and lipstick and showing their ankles.
How about MS partnering with Pam Gellar of Atlas Shrugs to get a decent memorial for murdered Aqsa Parvez who lies in an unmarked grave outside Toronto because her family (those not jailed for murdering her) believe those who must be killed deserve no headstone. How about MS dispatching an undercover reporter (pun intended) to Saudia Arabia where today a woman was arrested for (double gasp) driving a car. How about covering the brave girls who had acid thrown in their faces as they made their way to school in Afghanistan and yet from their hospital beds vowed they would continue to pursue their education?! Oh wait, MS is leftist and we all know what great bedfellows the Left and Islamic Jihad have become.
BevC,
Maybe MS can find out if any of those acid throwers or their buddies were in Guantanamo when their guy Obama ordered it closed. They certainly want to find out where these acid throwers and/or their buddies might end up. Maybe back in Afghanistan throwing acid in the faces of schoolchildren or executing women for going out in public.

Or, as it was known by some, ‘casting off restraint’.
Adds a whole new meaning to the term, ‘women’s movement’.
If women were burning girdles or corsetts or panty hose, I could understand that on an intellectual level.
How about boycotting panty hose?
But I never understood burning bras.
The result did not elict the desired response from men, at least not the men I knew.
I was not thinking what beautiful minds they had.
I remember once on the Beverly Hillbillies, Jethrow used one of Ellie Maes bras to make a double barrel sling shot.
Sports bars or sports bras?
Huuuuuum.
Pick a number between one and ten.
Paper scissors rock.

The bra-burning is a myth.
http://www.snopes.com/history/american/burnbra.asp
Many symbolically repressive items, including cosmetics, high-heeled shoes, and girdles, were thrown into a trash can to demonstrate an unwillingness to alter appearance in uncomfortable ways just to fulfill society’s strict definitions of womanhood. There is no evidence that bras were burned, certainly not in mass demonstrations.
