Jivin J’s Life Links 1-1-10

Of course, it’s also not a surprise that the embryonic stem cell researchers want more embryos, especially minority embryos, from whom to wring their embryonic stem cells. It’s never enough with some of these people….
Supposedly having at their disposal several hundred new hESC lines was satisfactory, plus the open-ended promise from President Obama of as many fertility-clinic embryos as they would like. But MI’s Sean Morrison “will also make it a priority to derive new embryonic stem cell lines from underrepresented groups, including African-Americans.”
So, apparently Prof. Morrison is going to be stalking minority couples at IVF clinics, targeting their embryos for his lab. Or soliciting egg and sperm donors to create custom-made embryos specifically for the experiments. Or trying to make cloning work. All of this is legal in the U.S. But not all of this can garner federal taxpayer dollars.
Thankfully, human cloning is illegal in MI and Proposal 2 only legalized research on “leftover” IVF embryos. It looks like Morrison will be left to stalking African-American IVF couples or trying to overturn Michigan’s human cloning law.
Prentice also notes that a much easier solution would be to get induced pluripotent stem cells from African-American patients.

Ok, it’s official. We’re in End Times. I hope everyone is prepared….

How can they say 18 years is TOO HARSH for this woman who killed her newborn baby girl? What about the HARSH thing she did to her infant in depriving her of oxygen. Suffocating is a horrible way to die! And when you’re a newborn baby who can’t understand anything but that you’re in agony….and yet they say 18 years is too harsh. I am very much an eye for an eye type of person in cases where kids are abused. I think this woman should be suffocated and see how she likes it!
Unbelievable. She googled “How to kill a fetus”. Why didn’t she just take a trip down to her Planned Parenthood campus clinic? They’re experts at that!
The woman who killed her infant child was a volleyball player at Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA, and according to her attorney, “a model child”. This case begs the question, “who failed her?”. Her parents? Her (Catholic) college?, Society? How do we make sure this doesn’t happen to another “girl” at another time in the future?
I am apreciating it very much! Looking forward to another great article
Researchers will not stop at stalking Black couples at IVF clinics. They’ll solicit egg donations from young Black girls and sperm from Black men.
Then, the scientific community will need fetal tissue for advanced cytological and anatomical research. That’s when prodigious use of aborted Black babies will take place.
There is no end to the mendacity of this line of inquiry, and Blacks will be asked to sell their souls for a noble cause.
It is beyond sickening to see what has become of a once-noble and proud community, one that gave us King, Evers, and an entire generation of truly noble and enlightened men and women. Now all that is left is a cynical, farcical, and buffoonish cadre of entrepreneurs like Jackson, Rangall and Sharpton, selling out their own for a purse of gold.
This call for African-American ESC’s is nothing more than predation and high-tech cannibalism.
A new low for science.
What this girl did to her newborn infant was wrong, but I’d say that she caved in to pressure from her parent’s and society’s expectations from her as the “good girl” stereotype. Often times acheiving students (in academics, sports, etc) will have high expectations placed upon them by themselves, parents, teachers, and coaches & and to the individual, to make a mistake such as this could mean to letting themself down (read: failure), and letting down and dissapointing those who they look up to and hold high expectations for them. And in an abnormal and extreme reaction, such as this case, will do whatever it takes to cover-up or hide their mistake or flaw, and sometimes in extreme cases will emotionally detach and deny it even to themselves (i.e. denying the pregnancy and birth and murder of the baby) or they intentially did it and acknowledge what they’ve done, while claim it was an act of self-preservation. Do you see where I’m going with this? Does this make sense? Either way it was an abnormally extreme reaction and she either knew what she was doing and is guilty or she is mentally ill and needs a lessor sentence and help.
