News anchor arrested after broadcasting he euthanized gay lover
According to the Examiner, February 17:
Veteran BBC broadcast journalist Ray Gosling was arrested today after admitting on his show that he killed his gay lover. The 70-year-old confessed to smothering his former lover, who was dying of AIDS, in a shocking newscast.
During a taping of the 30-minute BBC show Inside Out, Gosling related to the show’s television audience about the terrible pain that killing his partner had caused him.
Gosling, well known in Britain as a professional journalist and gay-rights activist, said that he killed the unnamed man….
Gosling confessed that he suffocated his former lover with a pillow while he lay dying in his hospital bed. In the UK mercy killing is a felony punishable by up to 14 years in prison.
According to The Independent, he stated during the taping:
Maybe this is the time to share a secret that I have kept for quite a long time. I killed someone once. He was a young chap, he’d been my lover and he got AIDS.
In a hospital one hot afternoon, the doctor said “There’s nothing we can do,” and he was in terrible, terrible pain. I picked up the pillow and smothered him until he was dead. The doctor came back and I said “He’s gone.”
Nothing more was ever said.
Gosling has not identified his former lover nor has he provided the date and time of the alleged killing….
Searching YouTube for the clip, I found 2 separate interviews. Gosling must have given a follow-up. I noticed his story about the doctor changed. Someone else spotted that and put the 2 interviews together. The 1st is the Inside Out revelation that started Gosling’s trouble. The 2nd is a bit hard to hear…
In a radio interview yesterday after receiving notoriety for his admission, Gosling tried to pin more on the doctor:
There was this moment and the doctor said to me something like: “I will pop out and have a fag now” or “go to the canteen” or “go to another ward – and will you still be here when I get back, Ray?” And I said, “Yes.”.
It was an invitation. Why do doctors leave extra morphine? “It’s in the drawer, if you need it”…. Doctors are doing this every day.
Fox News is reporting today Gosling has been released on bail.
Pro-abort Ann Neumann at Alternet is tying the fight to legalize euthanasia and assisted suicide in the UK to the fight to advance abortion rights in the US. Of course. The common denominator: Death, death, death.

Let’s not fall for his saying he loved this man and this was an act of mercy. I have a video up where he clearly states that “he was my bit on the side” not my partner. He says it on this video over but doesn’t highlight it as much.Around 1.00…
Whether or not this was fabricated, the very idea that any of what he said could be true, that a DOCTOR would not only suggest murder, but that there was NO follow up as to cause of death of a terminally ill patient, is not only disturbing but should be investigated IMMEDIATELY.
Murder is never justified.

kind of off-topic, but involving confessions of murder of a different sort. These people need real HELP, not little pink paper hearts.
“These people” ? They need to see themselves in the light of God’s Law, that they deserve Hell for their sin.
Only when a sinner seems himself as God does will he flee to the Savior.

X, that article is heartbreaking in so many ways. :(
Ray Gosling, besides being a killer, is a living insult to millions of people of any sexual orientation who lost spouses or partners to terminal illness and would give so much for just anonther three seconds with them. One of my biggest fears is that my boyfriend is going to die young.
And it looks like Gosling can’t even attempt to justify this by claiming that his lover asked him to kill him, either. Just, “oh, he was already dying, the doctor left me alone.” What a twisted person.
But he was saving the British taxpayers a lot of money.
That is why “pro-choice” people cheer mothers who kill their down syndrome babies.
This guy won’t get convicted no matter what evidence is presented. The doctor will never be sanctioned either.
How is what he did any different from what the state of Oregon has been doing since it legalized “doctor assisted suicide?” Have an illness that is expensive to treat? Sorry, here a fatal overdose for you instead.
I’m pretty sure that if doctors caught my mother-in-law in a lucid moment and told her she will never go back to Puerto Rico that she would sign any form consenting to being killed. She is 86, blind, amputee and diabetic. And according to a few Obama appointees she is a waste of money to treat and keep alive.
But wasn’t it the ONE who quoted the bible regarding how we treat the least among us?
Ray is a murderer. But he will never have to pay for his crime in this life. But he surely will in his afterlife.

My, my, how very christian of you. I love how the extremes in any party tend to wish hell upon those that disagree with them. It is amusing to dismiss honest debate with “Go to Hell” rhetoric. It shows you for what you truly are, ignorant.
HI Jake.
Patrick says that they DESERVE hell for their sins, not that he wishes hell upon them. IN fact, I am sure that Patrick would say that we ALL deserve hell fro our sins. So I’m quite sure he is not saying anything close to what you are claiming he is saying, but perhaps he can further clarify this comment.
“Xalisae” said “these people need real help…” To which I pointed out that Christians are not in the business of social manipulation; We speak the truth.
Ray Gosling doesn’t need to be coddled – he needs to hear the truth.
Ray has murdered, a violation of the 6th Commandment. Violation of the Law of God is called Sin.
As the bIble says that all men will face Jesus to be judged for what they have done in this life they were given, whether good or bad, then Ray Gosling is in danger of the eternal Lake of Fire for his sin.
What most fail to admit is that there is none who have not violated God’s Law; Every person is guilty; Every person needs to be rescued from the Wrath of God we all so justly deserve.
Ray is facing Hell for his murder, if indeed he did so. But even if he only thought about doing it he is still guilty, for God judges the heart.
Jake, the question I have for you is whether you think you are better than Ray Gosling?
Jake, are you good enough to enter heaven?
Are any of us?
Take the test and see whether you http://NeedGod.com.
Besides the obvious matter of murder, another angle of this story that churned my stomach was how little respect the murdered man got from Gosling. No woman gives birth to a child to hear him or her referred to as ‘my little bit on the side’. Where’s the love?
The murdered man doesn’t even get a name! He was Gosling’s plaything in life, forever silenced and forgotten in death. Tragic on so many levels.
I was at the bedside of my friend Philip when he died from AIDS five years ago. He had left the lifestyle 10 years prior, and to my knowledge NONE of his former friends, some of whom he kept in contact with (mostly male prostitutes and druggies) visited him in his final weeks in hospice.
I am so sorry for the murdered man. Perhaps his family and friends wanted to be with him to show him care, as we all were until the very end with Philip. Instead, this poor soul got Gosling at his bedside, not to offer help or comfort, but to suffocate him.
I’d be mad as anything if I were the murdered man’s relative or friend. Who was he to make the decision that he did?
What pro-aborts and euthanizers never seem to get is- Ok, if you can’t/won’t love people, let them be loved by others and get out of the way. Don’t go for the killing solution and think you were doing the best by suffering people or little people (fetuses). Other people are waiting to love them, so let them.
This is consistent with an ongoing agenda to devalue all stages of life … gross.
As a person with disabilities and a disability rights activist, I am staunchly opposed to assisted suicide.
But what, what, what, what does the gay orientation of Gosling or his lover have to do with the fact of the killing? because being gay is supposed to equal maligant selfishness and antipathy to ethical living etc, etc, etc?
Those are a bunch of malignant stereotypes. I have known self-accepting LGBT people whose unselfishness and generosity would put a lot of straight people to shame.
The most likely act of domestic violence in an intimate relationship is of a heterosexual man against his female partner, after all. Getting married in a Christian church doesn’t necessarily protect against it, either. especially if it is a church that counsels a woman she must bear her husband’s beatings no matter what.
And when LGBT people are subjected to relentless stigma and discrimination–that can grind down anyone’s will to live. Especially if people are screaming “God hates you, repent!” at you all the time.
No one here is screaming any such thing. Stop exaggerating.
