“They smear all who contradict their smelly little orthodoxies”
The modus operandi of these thought police… is to brand as racists and anti-Semites any writer who dares to venture outside the narrow corral in which they seek to confine debate. All the while prattling about their love of dissent and devotion to the First Amendment, they seek systematically to silence and censor dissent.
Without a hearing, they smear and stigmatize as racist, homophobic, or anti-Semitic any who contradict what George Orwell once called their “smelly little orthodoxies.” They then demand that the heretic recant, grovel, apologize, and pledge to go forth and sin no more.
Defy them, and they will go after the network where you work, the newspapers that carry your column, the conventions that invite you to speak. If all else fails, they go after the advertisers.
~ Conservative Pat Buchanan, describing why MSNBC fired him in his February 16 column, “Blacklisted but not beaten.” Buchanan could easily have been describing how Planned Parenthood and the media attempted to blacklist Susan G. Komen for the Cure for dissenting. On a larger scale Buchanan could have been describing how liberals and the media attempt to silence pro-lifers. They are all members of the same ideological cartel.

Pat Buchanan’s 1996 candidacy is the only presidential PAC that I’ve ever donated to. He tells it like it is, which is why he can never win. I truly appreciate his unwillingness to conveniently dumb down his standards, even as time and attitudes change. He is an excellent Christian role model. I suggest he look to his firing from MSDNC as the badge of honor it truly is.
…”blacklist Susan G. Komen for the Cure for dissenting.”
SGK did not and has not ‘dissented’.
SGK merely gave notice to pp privately that SGK would no longer provide vouchers to pp to pay for third party breast screenings.
pp not only openly dissented, they and their ‘dead babies r us’ mob pulled out all the media stops and hysterically howled ’RAPE‘ in a theatre full of feminazis.
It was the b-slap intended to be not only heard, but felt, around the world.
SGK passively submitted to the pp pimps and rejoined the stable.
I would have a lot more sympahty if it wasn’t Pat Buchanan who is the example here. Pat Buchanan has a long history as an anti-Semitic piece of dirt, who spews anti-Semitic garbage.
The so-coalled “progressives” bully anyone who publicly expresses a viewpoint contrary to the “progressive” view. I’ve seen them bully our new bully non-stop since she was elected in November, calling her a bigot, a “tea-b–ger” and now they are trying to recall her. I agree with ken the birther’s assessment of SGK, but the whole PP-SGK episode should give the public pause. If this is how they treat their allies…
I agree with Buchanan on just about everything except Israel. He’s not a neo-conservative, but could be described as a “neo-testament” conservative. He seems to believe in “repalcement theology” which follows the Church to the complete exclusion and resentment of Jewish history and influence.
Buchanan is a Paleo-Conservative

I watched Face the Nation yesterday and Bob Schieffr dutifully played the role. With great angst and disbelief he grilled Santorum during the entire segment about his “questioning Obama’s faith”, his failure to believe that the public school system is the corner stone of all that is good in America, and “why weren’t there any women on Issa’s panel to discuss “contraception”
I just want to throw something at the TV when I watch these corporate media drones parrot the orthodoxies like bleating sheep without it ever passing through their minds
