You better knock us out now. You and the President better knock us out right now, because Cecile, I can promise you – Here comes the Catholic Church.
~ Fr. John Hollowell responding to Cecile Richards’ call for women to post videos on YouTube, to “have their say” via Live Action, March 5

All Christians have to be united on this issue as it relates to religious liberty in the United States of America. Christian denominations have differing thoughts about birth control and there are many Catholic Christians that would like to see their denominations loosen their views on contraception. It is time for all denominations to take a good hard look at the history of sexual mores since the development of the the birth control pill and do an evaluation to present to parishioners and all people. It is clearly obvious that America and the world for that matter is decaying morally day by day.
Nicely said, Janet. As far as the mandate, the president of the denomination Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and the organization Lutherans for Life have expressed solidarity with all Christians, including the Roman Catholic Church, on this issue.
Tears. Thank you Fr. John. Praying for and blowing kisses to you!
“All Christians have to be united on this issue as it relates to religious liberty in the United States of America.”
Too bad for you folks that they aren’t and won’t be united. With the exception of the Missouri Synod, non evangelical (including the liberal Evangelical Lutherans) Protestants and non Orthodox Jews don’t have a problem with the mandate. The Clergy Coalition for Choice immediately came out in favor of the mandate. Even the Catholic Church is fragmented. The head of the Catholic Healthcare Association is a nun who signed off on the “compromise.” Major “orders” do not seem to have joined the bishops. Even among Catholics there is division as seen by various polls. The Catholic Church isn’t the mighty army of the Pope that it was once was. And for that, non Catholics are very, very happy. Theocracy has no place here.
Great comment, Janet.
One might say, “Here comes the HOLY SPIRIT!” I don’t think St. Peter checks your membership card at the door (but I do love being Catholic). I think we’re judged by our actions and our hearts and our love of Christ.
Hi cc! You know, even if you don’t like half the world’s Christians, Jesus still loves you. He’d like you to embrace life and accept his healing grace. Now back to my usual snarky self… (Don’t tell anyone I just said anything nice. It’ll ruin my interwebs reputation.)
Old rhetoric CC… makes me want to yawn and take a nap. Pride is what got satan to where he is, just sayin.
Excellent video! I’m going to share it but who knows who’s the musical background?
WOW! WOW! WOW! Powerful!
Catholics who are not behind their church need to understand that the government of the US does not have jurisdiction over Roman Catholic Canon Law. Your rebellion against the church is exactly what the Obama camp wants to see happen in order to be reelected. He needs the feminist vote. It is a very clever move to suggest that the Roman Catholic Church is anti women. This is a clever ploy to pursuade women to vote for Obama and has nothing to do with women access to contraceptives. It is unbelievable to me that so many can be so easily “set up”.
Must be that whole “and-the-gates-of-hell-shall-prevail-against-it” thing that worries Cecile.
Catholic Church: two-thousand years.
Planned Parenthood: one hundred years.
Something tells me that the church is built to last.
Planned Parenthood, not so much.
And if the “gates of hell” do not prevail, guess where that means our army is? Not on the couch, Cecile, and not cowering in our churces.

CC: Doesn’t matter who’s backing it or not. It’s going down (the mandate).
Some of us, to be honest, are more constitutionally cognizant than we are bigoted and belligerent. Folks who fit the latter profile are willing to cut off their own noses to spite someone else’s face. It’s really, really bizarre. Thankfully, an enumerated first amendment has more gravity than emanating penumbras.
Seriously; you don’t really believe this is a conservative uprising against women getting birth control do you. The Catholic Church’s conscience against contraception is well documented for 100?s of years and we will not submit to the mandate. It is simply not an option. This isn’t going away. The USCCB will not fold like other people the left has bullied in the past. . Obama misjudged this cause he never understood people could/would put following their conscience above the force of ‘law’ and hat their conscience could be a force greater than anything Obama has ever grasped. Obama’s devotion to Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry has picked what might actuall be the single fight he had no chance of winning. Cardinal Dolan said in his letter he sent to the US bishops this past Sunday that we didn’t ask for this fight but we will not run away from it either. Now Obama has picked a fight not just with individual catholics like me; but with the entire church. This mandate is going away….Obama is going away….Planned Parenthood we are going to knock you out….are you ready for a fight…I can’t wait to kick you in the condom….lol
“their conscience could be a force greater than anything Obama has ever grasped”
An equivocal statement that’s true in more than one way.
WOW! Great job Father. Love it.
“And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, AND THE GATES OF THE NETHERWORLD SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST IT.”
GAME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!
