Abortion dishonors fallen heroes
In every war, U.S. soldiers have given their lives for freedom and justice. We dishonor these fallen heroes when as a culture we tolerate the injustice of abortion.
~ Pro-life abolitionist Andy Moore on Facebook, May 27

I don’t believe making political statements surrounding those who have given their life for this country is appropriate.
We honor and thank you.
You are appreciated and will always be remembered.
I do not cheapen your sacrifie by linking it to a political statement.
This is about you and you only – not about abortion, gay rights, health care, or anything else.
We thank you – period
Regarding today’s topic, I wonder how many of our military heroes are pro-choice. And the ones that are, do we now view their service as less heroic than their pro-life counterpart? I will leave this in the hands of a sovereign God who judges perfectly. LL
I say this as the sister of a marine. But I have a problem with this statement. Not every war has been for freedom and justice. We are sending drones to kill kids overseas. If you’ve seen the pictures of dead babies blown up by our bombs you wouldn’t think every war is so noble. Yes, war is sometimes necessary…for DEFENSE. Not just because. These wars were based on lies from the beginning and innocent children have been killed.
I am against killing children period. By abortion or by drone. One is not more noble than the other.
”I wonder how many of our military heroes are pro-choice. And the ones that are, do we now view their service as less heroic than their pro-life counterpart?”
Funny, there was actually a weekend question on this very topic. I pretty much stand by what I said then, as do most of it’s participants, most likely.
I grew up in the Vietnam War era. A few years back, I read that children were learning about it but baffled by the problems it caused. A ten-year-old boy was quoted as saying, “It was just a useless war.”
That’s pretty astute. Over 47,000 American men brutally killed — for nothing.
“I do not cheapen your sacrifie by linking it to a political statement.”
You cheapen human life by calling the fight against the deaths of literally thousands of children every day nothing more than “a political statement”.
C’mon, Ex-RINO! Hug your new party’s abortion platform plank already! Embrace it! You’re almost there!!!
As the ex-wife of a former US Army soldier who was a p.o.s., I thank them for their service, but cannot pretend as if they are all heroes worthy of default praise.
Sorry xalisae – you aren’t going to bait me into spitting on the graves of our countries soldiers if they simply had different beliefs.
Who said anything about spitting on graves?
JDC – I simply take offense at the original post that seems to be implying that the deaths of soldiers have been cheapened because we have abortion. Their deaths are something we remember, and aren’t cheaper.
Then xalisae seems to be trying to pull things into a political fight and making the point that soldiers aren’t worthy of default praise.
I’m not putting an asterisk besides my thanks to soldiers on this Memorial Day. Xalisae can, and the original guy in the quote can – I’m not going to.
Not all wars OR people are perfect. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Edmund Burke

See esp. the bottom two of three from USER FRIENDLY by J,D, “Illiad: Frazer at post 12.
The words of the 2nd are: Man #1, “Hi. Someone you knew?”
Man #2, “Hello. My Dad. He was killed on D-Day.”
Man #1, I’m sorry if I didn’t lead a life that was exemplary.”
Man #2, “It’s okay. My Dad didn’t fight so others would be perfect. He fought so others would have a choice.”
The words of the 3rd are: Man #1, “It;s been more that sixty years since World War Two. You still visit his grave?”
Man #2, “Yes. Every year. I was only four when he went to ward, so I Barely remember him. But he left me a letter.
The most important part was thus: “If I don’t come home, it isn’t because I didn’t want to always be by your side. It’s because all I had left to protect my little boy with was my life.”
Are you okay?”
Man #1, “It’s funny, y’know. The words on these headstones get blurry after a while.”
Xalisae can, and the original guy in the quote can – I’m not going to.
You would too, if you gave a squat about the kids killed in abortions or were married to an abusive soldier for almost a decade.
But w/e.
In case no one has heard:
“Supreme Court denies Indiana bid to cutoff Planned Parenthood funding
The Supreme Court on Tuesday declined to overturn a lower court ruling that blocked an Indiana law aimed at stopping Planned Parenthood from receiving federal funds to provide cancer screenings and other services for the poor.
The Supreme Court justices gave no indication why they had rejected Indiana’s appeal to overturn 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling. The state had sought to prevent Planned Parenthood from receiving federal Medicaid funds for cancer and HIV screenings because the organization also performed abortions, but the appeals court said that the law went too far. ”
We live in a culture of death in which we slaughter the most helpless and innocent of the citizens soldiers die for. Saying so doesn’t make our soldiers any less honorable, it means we afford them less honor, we treat them less honorably. As do other murders and abuses of our freedoms.
