- Stand for Life features a video about unsung hero, John Barros. His faithfulness to the cause of life has saved at least 1,000 children from death by abortion. This man is an angel in the flesh:
- Secular Pro-Life invites your participation in a Tweetfest, happening today, to counter a Feminist Majority Foundation’s effort to “encourage wider education on the procedure” and “normalize the conversation.” No doubt, as SPL comments, the FMF “blog carnival” would really just be a way to “spread pro-abortion propaganda.”
- Christina at Real Choice is ready for today’s Tweetfest with some great tweet ideas and graphics ready for your use.
- Right to Life of Michigan reports a happy ending to a lawsuit brought by an Ann Arbor pro-lifer who was harassed and ticketed for displaying pro-life signs in his vehicle, which was parked outside a Planned Parenthood. Kudos to the pro-lifer who stood up for his free speech rights. The City of Ann Arbor settled the suit for $7,000.
- John Smeaton applauds Obianuju (“Uju”) Ekeocha (pictured left), founder and president of Culture of Life Africa, for her “bold defence of Africa against the imposition of contraception by Western agencies….” Smeaton quotes Ekeocha:
[W]hat Africa needs at this time is not a sexual revolution (which has not worked well in the Western world), rather what we need is authentic and sustainable development within the social and cultural frame work of our faith and family-oriented values. - Wesley J. Smith points out how the Baby Boomer generation will long be remembered for ushering in abortion and possibly assisted suicide:
And now, according to Time, we are supposedly going to change “how we die.”…Boomers are not a great generation. To the contrary, we did shamefully little considering how much we were given. Too busy patting ourselves on the back, perhaps, and breaking the china. Frankly, I think we are going to leave quite a mess. And if we do open the spigots to assisted suicide, it will be to our everlasting shame.
- Reflections of a Paralytic says a story she once shared about a young man with Down syndrome has been nominated for a Regional Emmy:

Can’t blame baby boomers for Roe v. Wade. That distinction along with the promotion of abortion and the contraceptive culture belongs to the Greatest/Silent Generation. The oldest boomers were 26 in 1973 and not sitting on the court. Pick pretty much any 60’s radical, and you will find he/she was not a baby boomer.

Indeed. Though we were not the beginning of it all we certainly were/are the biggest enablers of the abortion culture. It looks as though the slippery slope of the abortion culture will come around and hit us enablers with assisted euthanasia and pathetic health care in our 80’s and beyond thanks to the Unaffordable Care Act. What goes around comes around.

Abortion has destroyed our nation. I was reading about how a few cops got together to pay for a funeral of yet another baby discarded in a trash can. Apparently there is a special burial site for these victims of infanticide which is on the rise. Sigh thanks abortion

Don’t know if any of you are familiar with the Elizabeth Johnson case. She took little baby Gabriel and killed him. After sitting in the slammer for 5 years she will be getting out and she will be on probation. I don’t know about anyone else but to me that sends the wrong message. Any other murderer would to 20 years or more.

I don’t understand why infanticide is on the rise with abortion on demand at any time.

Infanticide is in keeping with the spirit of the law, albeit not with the letter of the law. The letter of the law allows murder of children before their head is delivered. So, technically killing an infant is not allowed. The light sentences reflect that the younger the child, the less value he has and are in keeping with this depraved view of children.

I understand these young girls are confused but in my own backyard we had the Jessica Coleman case. She gave birth in secret and stabbed her baby to death with scissors. Prior to that the man who got her pregnant would stand on her stomach. He was a teacher at my old high school. Together they put the baby in a duffle bag and put heavy rocks in the bag. They tossed it into a quarry until the bag was discovered by a diver. After Jessica stabbed the baby she went to eat dinner with her family . She was interviewed by Oprah and Oprah showed her sympathy!! She only served 6 years in prison. I do not think that was a proper sentence for such a brutal crime.

Hi Jerry,
You sum it up very well. Remember the bumper sticker: Stop Child Abuse…Support Abortion Reform.?
Oh yes, there just wasn’t a social problem abortion wouldn’t solve.
So why do we still have social problems?
