Model getting late-term abortion to star on reality show
I’m finally on the verge of becoming famous and I’m not going to ruin it now.
An abortion will further my career. This time next year I won’t have a baby. Instead, I’ll be famous, driving a bright pink Range Rover and buying a big house.
Nothing will get in my way.
~ British model Josie Cunningham, announcing why a late-term abortion is necessary in order for her to be cast in the reality TV show Big Brother, UK Mirror, April 20
Big Brother’s response: “Josie is deluded if she thinks this will improve her chances of signing up, which were slim to non-existent to start with,” a source told the newspaper. “How can we work with her - or pay her - if she admits having an abortion to achieve that? It would be a minefield.”
[HT: Kelli]

Another shock-and-awe storyline. It’s appalling our evil our world has become. LL
Yeah sure you are lady. Yours is a story as old as time.
More likely that in a year you’ll be waiting tables.
There would be more honor waiting tables than being a heartless fame whore.
What does it profit you to gain the whole world and lose your soul?
“Nothing will get in my way.”
Well, except for if no one will put you on their show or whatever. You can’t be famous if no one sees you.
CT,
Good point. Just a far cry from what she and so many seeking fame have expected.
The show’s producers have already stated that she never much of a chance to get on the show, and there no way that they would touch her after this stunt.
http://www.lifenews.com/2014/04/22/tv-show-declines-model-who-wanted-abortion-so-she-could-appear-on-program/
Well give her this,
She did get her 15 minutes of fame, which is more than she was ever likely to get. Now let’s hope the outcry means this child’s life is spared and hopefully adopted by a real human being.
Please pray that this young mother named Josie does not go through with ending the life of her child.
Save them both Lord.
Yesterday it was reported that hearing she wouldn’t be cast in the show and after receiving several death threats she has postponed the abortion.
The article is a real eye-opener. She did not use any birth control and is pregnant either by a “footballer” (soccer player) or a client (she was a prostitute) and also confesss to smoking and drinking during her pregnancy. What a piece of work, and what Brits call a “chav.”
I know I’m being hypocritical because I’ve posted about judging people by their looks, but for a model she isn’t very attractive, and she is throughly ugly on the inside.
I crossed the line and became pro-life after being close to a similar story. A co-worker had a cousin who was a high-school girl. The high school girl became pregnant. My cowrker shared the family drama with me and a couple other work buddies. This was the first time I saw one of these genuine stories up close. My coworker, and another worker, repeated the theme of “she has her whole life in front of her; this will mess up college,” etc.
In other words, nothing different from this story: kill your child to access current career opportunities. Nothing more, nothing less.
My wife and I had already decided we did not want to have kids until we finished grad school but had said we would not abort an unexpected pregnancy. That set me on the path of “why not? what seems wrong to me about abortion?”
Then, I saw this event. The high-school girl wanted to keep the boyfriend and baby, but EVERYONE around them was urging fast action to abort.
All of these people were/are middle class. Not rich, but by no means some super-poor sob-story. Just spoiled, entitled suburban white kids raised by feel-good best-friend, progressive parents.
I then progressed to wonder why abortion might be OK when the fetus was younger, but not more developed. I eventually arrived at the realization that, as had been taught in middle school, life begins at conception, life springs from life and there is no a-biogenesis (flies spring from maggots, not some primordial soup of trash in the alleyway), and every living species fits into one or another species, and like begets like.
A decade later I became a Christian. It is simple, basic science that says the 4-week-old fetus is a human being.
“We” abort “them” because ”we” have the opportunity to marginalize “them,” just like we marginalize other less-powerful groups of humans: race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability status, foreign enemy, religion, etc.
So, we make all of these ways to marginalize them: feeling pain, sentient, self-sufficient, heart-beat, etc.
There were plenty of justifications for slavery, and for killing Native Americans, etc. If anything, a human can justify just about anything.
The “career” argument is as lousy as any of them. For this woman, it is just a more crass, glaring version of the “this-high-school-girl-has-her-whole-life-in-front-of-her” argument, or the “she-will-never-escape-poverty” argument.
how do we know she really got death threats? anybody willing to kill their child so they can get an acting gig (or for any other reason for that matter) would also be willing to lie about death threats to get the attention she so obviously and desperately wants

There are some tweets posted that are pretty caustic. I don’t think death threats would be a stretch.
The Last Democrat,
Thank you for sharing that.
:)
Thanks for your story, Last Democrat. I started thinking about abortion when someone asked me “if you were a doctor, would you perform an abortion?” and I said no. The person asked me why not and I really couldn’t articulate why the thoughtof actually performing an abortion was so repulsive to me, even though I was strongly PC.
Anyway, it’s not very prolife to give someone death threats, even a reprehensible human being like this young woman. She needs prayer, especially since she already has two kids! When I was growing up no one would admit that they didnt know who the father of their child was, nor would anyone admit to being a prostitute. My have things changed!
Hi Bryan,
Your post made me wonder, was this all some play for attention?
Look at the reaction and attention she got. Whoever heard of her before now?
Why announce to everyone your intention to abort if no one has a clue who you are or that you’re even pregnant? Didn’t the show producers tell her that her chances were nil? Even if they didn’t I would imagine the competition to get on is pretty stiff. She’s likely aware her chances are pretty remote. What would she have to lose? Maybe she hoped someone will see her and sign her up for their next movie.
People do strange things. They claim they commit crimes they didn’t, say they witnessed some event or encountered some monster, all for, well, 15 minutes of fame.
The way I see it this “model” is:
– not pretty enough
– does not know that her shoes do not match her dress
– does not have the word “stockings” in her vocabulary
– apparently thinks of herself as Morticia judging on her manicure (does not match neither the dress nor shoes)
– needs a nose job.
So who would cast her in anything?
In 2001 I worked at a theater in downtown Minneapolis. An actress I worked with became pregnant. She had just been cast to “star” in a local T.V. production. She was going to have to wear a bikini. She aborted her baby. Her career went no where. I tried to talk to her out of it. I lost touch with her.
That’s really tragic, Ann Marie ! :(
Ed, I saw that same article. But all it says is “A source said: ‘Josie is terrified. She doesn’t know what to do or which way to turn. She’s had scores of death threats and is frightened to go home.'” Who is that source? Her friend who believes whatever she is told? And she’s had “scores” of death threats? Really? If the police are involved and treating it as real, then I believe it. But with what I have read, I am very skeptical. It could be real. I have no way of knowing for sure. But my gut is that she is lying.
Perhaps you’re right Bryan. I live in suburban Detroit where violence has escalated in recent months. A friend of mine hyposthesised that we’re reaping what we’ve sown, that we’re reaping increased violence as a result of all of the babies we’ve aborted.
On a more positive note, we were just part of a 40 Days for Life campaign at an abortion mill 3 miles from my house and we saved a baby! We’ve got some really exciting things going on too that I’ll share at a later date.
To God be the glory!
I was passed over for a great job opportunity due to pregnancy. It was difficult, emotionally. I found myself thinking often of the job that would otherwise have been mine and the opportunities it would have opened up. Because I am pro-life I was able to firmly place the blame for the crappiness of the situation on the appropriate parties – the HR department who didn’t feel like dealing with a 4-week leave of absence no matter how strongly the guys trying to hire me lobbied in my favor (the job would have been on hiatus for two months right around my due date, so only about a month would have been needed), the general culture in the US as a whole; even on myself for working in a physical trade rather than a desk job. I also blamed myself for being upfront with the guy who was trying to hire me – had I kept my situation a secret, even as he pulled favors to get me the job, I would have absolutely gotten hired, and I could have had legal recourse if they replaced me for taking an unpaid leave once the job was mine; but I had worked with these people for years and felt unethical not mentioning something to give them time to plan ahead and work with me. I blamed myself for being ethical about the situation, instead of hiding behind a dog-eat-dog philosophy and letting the whole thing bite THEM in the rear instead of me. I blamed the situation and my feelings on a lot of things. But not on the baby.
But there were a lot of feelings swirling around, and if I did not have a clear head on my shoulders, misdirected feelings or blame might have been somewhat easy.
Sometimes, the only thing you can do – when you don’t know what else to do – is the thing you know is right. That means being ethical even when others are not. And it means finding another way to get by, when the only way to get a certain job is to get an abortion. I don’t always know for sure – I can’t – but I have to believe that when things seem unclear, you can’t go wrong by doing what’s right. It is, after all, better than the alternative.
Josie Cunningham is a notorious attention wh@r3 in England. She was a “professional escort”… then she became a “model” when she discovered that socialized medicine would pay for her boob job if she needed it for her “career.” This abuse became a national news buzz, and she enjoyed the adrenaline of brief fame.
So now she dreams of being a reality TV star. And her public abortion threat is a plea for more attention.
She probably got the death threats that she boasts about. And they were probably not from any genuine pro-lifers. They were mostly likely from angry young turks who hate on vile attention wh@r3s.
Hi Del,
Let’s face it, when you put your information on the internet for the entire world to see you’re setting yourself up for just this type of thing. Death threats.
Sorry folks but inviting strangers into your life invites trouble, and danger. If you don’t want the world to comment or react dangerously to your business, then don’t put it out there for the world to read.
I agree with you Del, this woman is an attention whore. I’ll call her what she is. I suspect this whole abortion story is a crock, but it got her the attention she wanted.
Hi Thomas R,
I would have never thought of you as a fashion critic! :)
Right Thomas R. Ive been following this on facebook and I also believe she received death threats. Look at how pregnant she is!! One comment read…dirty sl*g …i guess thats a bad word in London…doesnt even deserve to be a mother. Yet another asked..what will she be modeling? Shoes? But ive since read that now the show will NOT have her. Lets continue to hope this is the case.
I agree phillymiss. Youre not judging her but you are saying what plenty of others are saying. Shes an attractive girl but not model material in the eyes of many. Even after watching a few episodes of Tyra Ive concluded modeling really looks boring to me. Yet it seems to be a dream of many young girls. We had a local girl model for Playboy magazine. After playboy no more offers came for her demand for any type of modeling. She was found dead in her local trailer park home from a drug OD.
Very hard to make the cut to appear on Tyra. I love it when some of the girls just quit. And to tell you the truth even after they win the show you dont see much of them anyway.
I would have never thought of you as a fashion critic!
Mary, did I get that right or was I totally off? :)
Thomas, no one “needs” a nose job unless they are having trouble breathing. Growing up I was often ridiculed for my African facial features, which is why I love Lupita Nyong’o — but that’s another blog!
And to tell you the truth even after they win the show you dont see much of them anyway.
Yes, many of these competitons seem to be a one-way ticket to obscurity. Can anyone name the last two winners of “American Idol” without looking them up?
Thomas, stockings? What are these things of which you speak?
The ones women put on their legs LibertyBelle. It is not proper of a model to expose her legs especially considering the dress she wears. But I guess the Brits like women without stockings…
You may be right phillymiss but I’m just saying this aspiring model does not look like a model and the nose job in her particular case would make whole lot of difference. Does this make sense?
LOL Oh I didn’t realize it was still custom to wear those. I usually call them hose or whatever. I’m pretty sure most women in America don’t wear them either, though….
They should wear them LibertyBelle, especially models who want to appear as somehow legit. Bear legs on models proper for the beach but not a studio shoot. Just my (manly) opinion :)
did I say bear, I meant bare – just a spelling error ladies….

Here is an interesting article by a pro-abort who says that Ms. Cunningham has a right to have an abortion for ANY reason, and calls out other borts who are upset that she wants to do it to be on a television show.
Phillymiss, wow. At least they are now starting to get honest?
LibertyBelle:
I spent good amount of time browsing your blog. Just want to say – ITS AWESOME!!!! Keept it up (that smoothie recipe will be tried tonight) :)
LOL Thanks! I appreciate the support. ;) Hope it turns out yummy!
@ Phillymiss…I cant. The only winners from ANTM I recall are Adrianne Curry who really blew it after 2 Playboy spreads and her hum drum marriage to Peter Brady..actor Christopher Knight that ended in divorce. I also remember Karadee English and Salesea and Chantel. Thats it.
I should also point out that there have been several girls from our area who have appeared in Playboy magazine. The above incident took place years ago. I guess the girl believed Playboy would begin a huge career for her. No doors opened and she fell into drugs. Her looks washed up and her drug habit increased. As Ive stated she is dead. Now should this girl abort and do the show what if it flops or she gets the boot? Then she has no show and no baby.

Per the International Business Times…
Josie Cunningham’s Abortion Postponed after Big Brother Snub…But now they say they do not want her, regardless of whether she has the abortion. She’s also getting death threats.
Get a load of the photo of her in the above link. How she’s making it as a model is beyond me.
LL
LL thats good news. Im glad many people did not take this lightly. Im actually kinda shocked that more pro aborts didnt rush to defend her. Just as I had suspected…it all backfired on her. Now I sure do hope she wont have this abortion.
This is one scary photo! My previous reference to Morticia was too generous of a description for this nut….
Eh to tack on to my post upstream…to clarify…a lot of girls in my area have appeared in Playboy magazine but none have ever made it to stardom. Their are different types of models. Hi fashion is at least 5’11” and up. One of my favorite video models was Tawney Kitean aka the Whitesnake video girl married to David Coverdale at the time. She is a shorter model. And the old models imo will never fade.
Typo there not their…anyway i wont call this girl ugly…but shes just not the model type imo. Shes just an average looking girl with a boob job..meh.
Thomas, Morticia was gorgeous and classy and Gomez was hot. Just saying! LL :D
Laura Loo,
Not to mention Uncle Fester!
Sad.
Mary, LOL. LL :D
I just read on pewsitter.com that she is now keeping the baby after feeling it kick while on her way to the clinic.
Hi Mike,
As I stated earlier, I think this whole “abortion” story is a crock, the desperate ploy of an attention whore.
Its obvious from your post that she continues to get the attention she seeks. Her 15 minutes of fame goes on.
Mike,
I read that too. Glad she is not going through with the abortion.
Her child is not an “it.”
