Gosnell reporter notes inconsistency in abortion rhetoric

Having ended its first week, earlier chapters of the [abortionist Kermit Gosnell] trial were much more charged. Those included gruesome and revolting descriptions of dead babies – oh, excuse me, I mean fetuses, not babies, not even the one that was seven months along [gestational age depicted in image, right] who could have walked Gosnell […]

“I’m a millionaire because I had an abortion”

10w-05World Life Organization and Created Equal co-rented a jumbo-tron at the January 26 Walk for Life in San Francisco. On the jumbo-tron was looped a 2-minute video showing the graphic reality of abortion.

One of the pro-life apologists behind the police-protected guardrail surrounding the jumbo-tron was Russell Hunter of Abolish Human Abortion. Russell was approached by a post-abortive mother who made a revealing declaration: “I’m a millionaire because I had an abortion when I was 18.” Here’s the video:

Most offensive pro-abortion ad ever – “Happy 40th Anniversary Baby” – PULLED

mehcad_brooks_pro_choice_psa_-_h_2013UPDATE 1/29, 5p: LifeSiteNews.com reported today:

Yesterday, CRR’s bizarre video was featured on their site and on Youtube. But last night – voila! – it vanished. (Although, as we know, nothing ever disappears completely from the web, and other Youtube users have already rescued it from oblivion.)

And no wonder. The video, featuring Mehcad Brooks, didn’t exactly go over as CRR intended. It got tens of thousands of views, but from all the wrong people. The commenters were overwhelmingly appalled, and “dislikes” overwhelmed the number of likes on Youtube by a considerable factor.

UPDATE 1/23, 10a: The Hollywood Reporter reports CRR’s disgusting ad is being “slammed”:

Why abortion proponents agree they are losing

On this, the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Time magazine’s perspective is that legalized abortion is on a losing path. And I haven’t found anyone on the other side who disagrees. Quick example, NARAL’s email heading this morning:

What makes abortion proponents think this gloom and doom, despite their hard-fought presidential victory?

In a nutshell: federalism, the growing pile of state anti-abortion laws….

Ask Them What They Mean By “Choice” Day 2013

565600_10200344040269360_2012432767_nUPDATE 1/24, 10:30a: Thanks to all who participated, whether by the many great posts I read on your blogs (links below), or on Facebook, or on Twitter (where the conversation at #Tweet4Choice is still going strong!).

I think our effort this year was particularly impactful given the dust up in the pro-abortion community over the word “choice.”

Thanks again for doing such a great job pushing back on their euphemismistic cover-up of preborn murder.

Three new inspirational pro-life books!

The pro-life movement is being blessed by a trio of new books…

40days40 Days for Life: Discover What God Has Done… Imagine What He Can Do

Join 40 Days founders David Bereit and Shawn Carney TONIGHT at 9p EST on a webcast unveiling their new book.

I’m honored to have been asked to endorse this beautiful book, and I was happy to do so. Its 40 chapters tell 40 inspirational, touching stories how this movement has saved and changed lives.

Bonus: When you register to attend, you’ll also be immediately sent the foreword by former Planned Parenthood director Abby Johnson and two full chapters from the book free.

Price: To be announced

Abortion is “no more a political issue than slavery”

Two Posters on Not a HUMAN BeingOddly, at its root, abortion really isn’t a political issue at all. It’s a cultural revolutionary ideal and tactic. It has been indispensable in advancing radical feminism. It becomes political to the extent that it was thrust on this nation by the US Supreme Court in one of the most raw acts of judicial activism. Strictly speaking, it is a state’s rights issue, and the people have been robbed of their ability to decide this at the ballot box, or through their elected representatives.

Planned Parenthood abandons term “pro-choice”

image

Pro-lifers have always disdained the term “pro-choice,” because it is intentionally ambiguous. It lets abortion supporters off the hook.

Now, apparently even “pro-choice” has become radioactive.

On January 9, with carefully controlled fanfare (no press release, hand-picked reporters), Planned Parenthood announced it was abandoning the term “pro-choice.” From Buzz Feed:
