… Robin Marty at RH Reality Check promoted telemed abortions as a welcome alternative to “forc[ing] [women] to travel hours or set aside days in order to obtain the drug.”
The ACLU promotes RU-486 abortions because they provide “abortion options for women who live far from a surgical abortion provider. … In 86 percent of counties in the country, there is no abortion provider … [sometimes] leaving women to travel hundreds of miles for care.”
On the flip side this means women taking RU-486 for abortions are “far from” the abortion provider’s help, sometimes “hours,” sometimes “hundreds of miles.”…
Which means local clinics and hospitals have been and will be forced to mop up Planned Parenthood’s RU-486 complications. In fact, PP recommends this on its website:
Rarely, women need vacuum aspiration or hospitalization. Take your medication guide with you if you need to visit an emergency room, a hospital, or a health-care provider.

PP admits 3 to 4 of every 100 RU-486 abortions fail:
Complete abortion will occur in 96-97% of women who choose mifepristone [RU-486]. In the small percentage of cases that medication abortion fails, other abortion procedures are required to end the pregnancies.
This means in rural areas where PP commits telemed RU-486 abortions, its sole emergency fallback plan is forcing local Catholic or Christian hospitals and/or medical staff to complete its abortions.
PP’s solution to its shortage of abortionists and surgical suites is us.

Is it worth the so-called convenience of not having to travel to an abortion clinic to get an abortion?
Who pays for ambulance and hospital services when the RU-486 abortion doesn’t work as planned and the woman has to be rushed to the emergency room? Is Planned Parenthood ready to take on these additional expense for their patients? Is it even discussed?

What happens when she sees her baby?

This idea is so horrendously frightening: imagine a woman suffering from an adverse reaction (seizures, drop in blood pressure, etc.) and no one is around for miles to help her. How is this better than a back alley? This is just nuts. I was checking out the pro-choicers take on this, and they are so sarcastic toward us! They couldn’t care less about womens health if their hearts were made of concrete!!! No, that’s an insult to concrete, sorry about that.
The idea that one of my young female relatives would do such a thing alone is absolutely terrifying. I am convinced that being pro-choice is a real pathology, a bona fide mental illness. That is probably why it’s so hard to argue with pro-choice believers; it’s kind of like arguing with a stalker. A pro-choice believer doesn’t think like a healthy person, isn’t motivated like a healthy person. Pro-choice believers can’t use logic because their neurons are messed up! We try to appeal based on humane values and they just mock our concern. Defending this heinous practice as ‘womens health’ is insanity, real textbook-example-danger-to-yourself-and-others insanity.
You know there can be a law that states send the hospital bill to the clinic… If they want to push this, then they should ensure the woman has the date and clinic information, in case something happens and the hospital bill sent back to the clinic. ONce they receive a number of these bills, they may find it too expensive….

If PP were dis-latched from the federal teat, it would wither and die quickly.
Without access to our federal, state and local tax dollars PP would cease to exist because the liberal progressive humanists would not voluntarily contribute to PP in numbers great enough to keep PP afloat.

Oh, happy days. Planned Parenthood goes down and poor women and women without health insurance that covers abortion will be forced to have their sweet little babies that they can give away. Poor women as incubators – ya wanna talk eugenics!!!! But meanwhile, comfortable women like me, who have health insurance that covers abortion, can access a safe, legal procedure if and when we want it without having to walk through a phalynx of screaming “sidewalk counselors.” And meanwhile, women who use those “baby killer” at Planned Parenthood for their pap smears, mamograms, contraception (right, I know, that’s evil) will have fewer options. Oh, happy days. Rather than “abortion mills,” if Planned Parenthood goes down, our hospitals will by baby mills. Oh, happy days. And if those wimmin who defy their god have complications (the odds are slim) from a drug that has been around in Europe (evil, secular) for decades, then Catholic hospitals should let them die for their sin. Right?

Intellectual giant that you claim to be it should be no problem for you to come up with some sort of objective sources that would indicate what women did before organizations like PP existed.
But the larger question you should answer is why federal taxpayers should be required to pay for ‘health care’ for anyone but themselves and their families.
