- Wesley J. Smith reports on the Swiss assisted suicide hotel, Dignitas, and its push for double suicides in which relatives of suicidal loved ones can also take a lethal cocktail instead of grieving. Yes, really.
- Jennifer at ProWomanProLife links to a gag-inducing article that has the audacity to state, “Women abort potential babies because they would prefer not to be a mother at all, rather than be an inadequate parent. It’s not that they don’t care about the unborn child, it’s because they care so much.” Jennifer also points out the obvious: no one is telling women they have to parent. There’s another “A word” – adoption.
- Christina at Real Choice gives a shout out to her resident troll who says that there are only 1 per 100k deaths of women due to abortion – so what’s the big deal? She counters that if infant product manufacturer Graco recalled 2 million strollers due to 4 deaths, perhaps women should be told abortion is more than 5x as lethal.
- Pro-Life Wisconsin draws attention to a “classy” Planned Parenthood WI email entitled, “WTF Scott Walker!?” Who is their target audience with this type of language?
- The Passionate Pro-Lifer announces, “Pam Tebow, mother of 5 including Denver Bronco Tim Tebow, has endorsed CO’s Personhood Amendment, Amendment 62, which is the only pro-life issue on the ballot anywhere in the U.S. in 2010.”
- Mommy Life posts a message from Fr. Richard Perozich, a priest of the Diocese of San Diego, urging Catholics not to put aside their faith when they vote.
- Albert Mohler pays tribute to pro-life warrior Dr. Mildred Jefferson who died October 15th at the age of 84.

As for Wesley Smith’s article, how lovely. Now we can kill 2 for the price of one. I’m wondering, though, what about all the people who grieve that the first suicide was successful, and then grieve that the grieving widow/widower then killed themselves to follow it up? Do THEY all then get to commit mass suicide so they don’t have to grieve?
Women abort potential babies because they would prefer not to be a mother at all, rather than be an inadequate parent. It’s not that they don’t care about the unborn child, it’s because they care so much.
You know how controlling, abusive men often say to their wives/girlfriends, “If I can’t have you, no one can!” It’s not because they “care soooo much” about the girl, it’s a means of control and oppression, which often leads to violence.
Anyone who aborts with the mentality of “I could never give my child up for adoption, so I’m going to kill it” is saying the same thing. “If I can’t have you, NO ONE can.”
Well said Kel. You said it perfectly.
Regarding the PP Wisconsin story above:
Who is their target audience with this type of language?
Apparently their target is people who say W_F to LIFE.
Lord have mercy on PP and their supporters and politicians tied to them. Praying for the conversion of their hearts. What else can one say charitably?
“Anyone who aborts with the mentality of “I could never give my child up for adoption, so I’m going to kill it” is saying the same thing. “If I can’t have you, NO ONE can.” ”
Kel, I never thought of this before but how True! My abusive ex-husband used to say things like, “If I can’t ENJOY you, no else will either.” “I will kill you and any one you ever date.” I was property just like a truck or a boat, not a human being. Proaborts have the same way of thinking about the preborn. They want to own and control others, not love them for who they are.
I’m sorry you went through that, Praxedes. I’m glad you’re alive to talk about it, though! :)
The story about double suicides is frightening! Back in my day, if someone wanted to commit suicide that was considered a mental illness, and you could have the person taken into psychiatric care for a short period. Now what? Anyone can decide to commit suicide and we just throw out science, biology, and the entire mental health profession? Culture of death indeed.
