Pro-aborts pull out stops opposing Stupak Amendment in healthcare
Didn’t pro-aborts spend an inordinate amount of time claiming public funding of abortion wasn’t included in any of the healthcare bills before House pro-lifers added an amendment specifying there would be no public funding in its healthcare bill?
Yet the hornet’s nest that said abortion wasn’t in healthcare has been stirred into a frenzy because abortion has been aborted from healthcare….
For instance, the National Organization for Women is planning a “Strip Stupak National Lobby Day” on December 2. I think it would be grand for pro-lifers to organize a “Stay Stupak National Rally Day” on December 2 and completely confuse the messaging.
And Young Feminists has listed 7 anti-Stupak petitions out there, sponsored by Alternet, Bold Progressives, Center for Reproductive Rights, Daily Kos, NARAL, and Planned Parenthood.
Finally, according to ABC News, the Center for Reproductive Rights is launching the following anti-Stupak ad tomorrow in the DC cable market and online…
Yuck. As I said only yesterday, abortion isn’t funny. There you go. Pro-life response, from the USA Today blog:
Douglas Johnson, legislative director for the National Right to Life Committee, says the CRR “ought to also be candid enough to come out and acknowledge that what they are really fighting for is unlimited funding of abortion under the new programs that the new healthcare bill would create.”
Johnson also added that the amendment does not prevent a person, even those under the new proposed federal exchange, from purchasing a supplemental policy to cover abortions.
The Family Research Council added in an email alert today:
Planned Parenthood is already predicting an end to the amendment at the hands of the President, who President Cecile Richards calls her “strongest weapon.”
Meanwhile, her allies still insist on spinning the debate not as a denial of federal funding for abortion, but as a denial of the “right” to abortion – which is absurd. Under the Stupak amendment, women can get as many elective abortions as they want. But taxpayers have no more obligations to pay for that elective procedure than they do for a woman’s elective plastic surgery.
Obama was right in there too saying that abortion funding was not a part of the legislation. They were all being untruthful and now they have been exposed.
I love the sign that says “Health care for all…unless you’re one of those icky fetuses or the fetus of one those icky poor people…ick.”
Yes, I believe in health for all people- including unborn ones.
I always find the obsfucation interesting. Those in favor of abortion rarely call a spade a spade and expend much effort to cloud the issue by trying to make it appear as another separate issue.
Dec 2nd will be during Advent. Makes me sick to think of proaborts clamoring to kill the unborn at the beginning of the season when so many of us will be contemplating Joseph and Mary preparing for a holy birth. Just sick.
It’s all about power. The government is already rationing the H1N1 vaccine. and that’s just the beginning. (I listen to Rush L. who says “think of long lines when you think of government healthcare” ) Stop this monstrosity of a health care bill now! We can’t afford it!
Fed Up,
I’m praying the bill doesn’t come up until after the New Year so their constituents can give them all a nice homecoming earful.
Have hope. God will prevail in the end. :)
Socialized healthcare, no matter how you look at it is aweful! You think it’s terrible that people are killing unborn babies? You just wait. If this healthcare bill passes, it will soon be more expensive to keep the older generations alive than to kill them, so guess what will end up happening…
The madness has to be stopped!
You think we’re in an economic recession now?
You think the unemployment rate is high?
You just wait! Most healthcare workers won’t have jobs. Doctors won’t be able to afford the keep their practices open because the government won’t re-emberse them well, so they won’t be able to pay their staff or their malpractice insurance. Everything’s going to hit an all time low if this passes, so I think we all need to hit our knees praying hard and writing every senator and congressman and woman we can to get this stopped.
…”parts of it’s brains and skull are missing, it’s fatal.” If it is “FATAL” then why go through a Snuff-Surgery procedure? This is so insulting I am nearly having a brain cramp.

wow, the sky is really falling in your world. what color is it?
Again……the center for reproductive rights spokesman/spokeswoman looks like a transexual….I understand b/c my cousin had a complete surgery from man to woman.
It’ll be like the Nazi regime, where the disabled were experimented on.
There will be health care rationing and the elderly will be the first to suffer. Then the disabled, including children with special needs.
I really doubt that Obamacare will only cover extreme cases described in the “joke” above. Maybe that’s why no one was laughing. No one buys onto that lame propaganda anymore. She described less than 1% of abortions right there.
“Reproductive Rights”? If a woman is pregnant then she has obviously already exercised her right to reproduce. They mean the right to kill innocent children; but of course they aren’t honest enough to come out and say that. The right to reproduce children is what they hate and want to destroy. Induced abortion often compromises, or destroys altogether, the mother’s ability to have other children later.
The majority of induced abortions are done on healthy women carrying healthy children. After the deed is done, the child is dead and the mother is injured, or even killed, in the process much more often than the PA’s would care to admit. THIS IS NOT HEALTHCARE; it’s murder of the child, and reckless endangerment of the mother.
Here are some glowing testimonials:
“AN ABORTION KILLS THE LIFE OF A BABY AFTER IT HAS BEGUN. IT IS DANGEROUS TO YOUR LIFE AND HEALTH. IT MAY. .MAKE YOU STERILE, SO THAT WHEN YOU WANT A CHILD YOU CANNOT HAVE IT…”.
–Planned Parenthood has a fit of relative honesty, albeit tactical, and admits that induced abortion is both genocide and ‘gynocide’, in a 1963 pamphlet on birth control. Although PP has changed its tune considerably since 1973, especially when selling abortion “services” to women in crisis, nothing has changed between 1963 and now…and they know it.
“TODAY IT IS POSSIBLE FOR ALMOST ANY PATIENT TO BE BROUGHT THROUGH PREGNANCY ALIVE, UNLESS SHE SUFFERS FROM. A FATAL DISEASE SUCH AS CANCER OR LEUKEMIA, AND IF SO, ABORTION WOULD BE UNLIKELY TO PROLONG, MUCH LESS SAVE THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER.” -Alan Guttmacher, former Planned Parenthood president, 1987.
Contrary to claims by many abortion advocates that legalizing abortion somehow removes its dangers, it not only remains cruelly lethal to innocent unborn children, but thousands of women have been seriously injured, both physically and emotionally, by legal abortions. According to the World Health Organization, 500 women die every day from these so-called “safe, simple procedures.” Many women who survive them are left comatose, maimed, sterile, or otherwise impaired for life. According to Carol Everett, a former abortuary owner, “We were maiming or killing one out of every 500 women who came to us for an abortion.”
“People do not realize that there are thousands of serious physical complications from abortion every year in this country.”–Dr. Bernard Nathanson, OB Gyn. – former American abortionist and co-founder of NARAL.
“THE IMPACT OF ABORTION ON THE BODY OF A WOMAN WHO CHOOSES ABORTION IS GREAT AND ALWAYS NEGATIVE. I CAN THINK OF NO BENEFIT OF A SOCIAL ABORTION ON A [WOMAN’S] BODY.” – DANIEL J. MARTIN, M.D.
“In medical practice, there are few surgical procedures given so little attention and so underrated in its potential hazards as. abortion. It is a commonly held view that complications are inevitable.” Warren Hern, world renowned abortionist.
(Medically recognized physical complications of induced abortion include shock, coma, intense pain, trauma, bleeding/hemorrhage, infection, cardiac embolism, cardiac arrest, cardiomyopathy, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary edema, cerebral embolism, permanent brain damage, sterility, uterine tears / perforations, retained fetal tissue, cervical damage, convulsions, endotoxic shock, fever, second degree burns, chronic abdominal pain, nausea/vomiting, gastrointestinal disturbances, Rh sensitization, damage to/loss of other vital, internal organs, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, peritonitis, septicemia, increased risk of future miscarriage; ectopic pregnancy, placenta previa, infant handicap/premature birth; also cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, and more. Obviously, many of these can cause death or impair/destroy the ability to reproduce, which is of the essence of the right to do so…)
…”parts of it’s brains and skull are missing, it’s fatal.” If it is “FATAL” then why go through a Snuff-Surgery procedure? Good question. Perhaps to justify killing other vulnerable people who are “going to die anyway” ? Wait a minute, we’re all going to exit this planet sometime…
To Hal, don’t worry, if this bill passes, you should be able to see the falling sky clearly enough just before it lands on you to determine its true colors for yourself…
So, going with the example in the ad, how is aborting the little girl or little boy fetus going to help either the mother or the little one?
Breast reduction- helps back pain
Nose job (septum surgery)- helps breathing
Aborting a child with serious defects or other medical problems-
DOESN’T HELP ANYTHING
Killing is not a cure.

This is what I have been saying all along and can’t understand why the pro aborts are so rabid about this. No one is changing any abortion laws. But why should the taxpayers have to pay the bill?
You’ve got a typo, Jill. You meant pro-LIFE response. When I read “pro-lie” I thought it was a great name for the other side!

I like Ellaine’s comment.
The child is going to die soon, so I need to kill him. Grandma is going to die soon, too. Kill her.
And if the baby is so deformed he is endangering the mother’s life, well, pro-aborts can’t go there because Stupak allows for federal funding of that abortion.
Don’t these pro-aborts know that “stripping” a ban on taxpayer-funded abortions from the bill risks the very survival of this nightmare bill? These pro-aborts are so pro-ABORTION they’re willing to see the whole health care reform bill die just to get their abortions paid for.
“Reproductive Rights”? If a woman is pregnant then she has obviously already exercised her right to reproduce. Thank You for making that point, JTM. That’s exactly the point I’ve been thinking about. The pro-aborts are up in arms about “Reproductive Healthcare”, and they don’t even realize what they’re saying. “Reproductive Healthcare” is taking care of your REPRODUCTIVE ORGANS…the organs you use to REPRODUCE, i.e, to HAVE children..not KILL children. They’re not even listening to THEMSELVES!
JTM,
I wish every major newspaper would publish those quotes on the front page of their publications, even for a day. They’re great.
Great comments on this thread! You guys really hit the nail on the head.
