“I can go back to my district [on some issues] and say I did the best I could, I tried,” he said. “But on abortion you can’t go back and say, I used to be right to life; now I’m pro choice. That doesn’t work; it’s either or.”
The New York Times discusses jury selection in Scott Roeder’s trial for killing abortionist George Tiller…
Potential jurors who are adamantly opposed to abortion or who favor abortion rights — and who acknowledge they look at this case with a bias from the start — will likely be eliminated by the court without either side having to waste a strike, Anthony said. But it’s the unstated biases of the rest that pose the biggest challenge to both sides.
Defense attorneys will be looking for the juror who during deliberations might say something like, ”’You know this case isn’t as simple as just convicting somebody for a murder; we have to think about social implications. … We have to think about what in the system caused this person to have to come in and do this,”’ Anthony said.
First, around 250ml of fat is removed by liposuction. Stem cells are extracted from half of this fat, while the other half is purified.
The two mixtures are then recombined and injected into the areas of the face – the cheeks, the hollows beneath the eyes and around the temples – that need boosting.
By the time the work is finished, the face will look puffy from all the injections and the swelling will take a good week to settle.
Oh my gosh. You guys need to read the National Catholic Register article that JJ linked to. Here’s a snippet:
“Bob,” as Angelo referred to him, was married and desirous of becoming a father. When his wife became pregnant, he rejoiced. His wife, however, did not share his enthusiasm. She felt the time was not right for her to have a child.
Despite his urgings and pleas, she went ahead with her abortion. Time passed. Bob’s wife became pregnant again. The same scene played out. Bob begged his wife not to abort their child.
His wife, who firmly believed in “choice,” aborted the second child.
When Bob’s wife became pregnant a third time, he was overjoyed that his wife chose to have the child. Bob lavished the love he had for three children on this one child.
Perhaps, as Othello lamented, he “loved not wisely but too well.” A strain was placed on the marriage. Divorce followed.
Bob’s wife was granted custody of the child. He was utterly devastated. He told his therapist that he had three of his children “ripped from his heart.”
Bob could find neither solace nor relief from his pain. He ended it all by shooting himself in the head. His final act was a choice, but, like his wife’s two abortions, not a choice for life.
Abortion is never a closed and isolated act.

I would love for a pro-choicer to come out and defend the whole debacle.
And then try to sleep at night.
What a heart-rending tragedy.
What a deception! These moms buy into the lie, “I’m not ready to be a Mom yet so I’m going to terminate my pregnancy.”
Satan deceives them into killing their own children!!!
At IHOP-KC, the last two Saturday evenings, women came up and gave their testimonies of how God healed their hearts after having abortions. They described how the burden of guilt and shame they carried from killing their children crippled them emotionally. And their woundedness made it difficult or impossible to sustain healthy relationships with their friends and loved ones.
Then Jesus touched them.
He is so Loving and Merciful and Kind. He came and took all our junk, to the Cross, paid our debt, and by His Sacrifice, through the shedding of His Own Blood…
we are forgiven.
What a Wonderful Savior!
…WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW MUCH I UTTERLY DESPISE ABORTION.
Carder,
Couples need to discuss their desire for children before they begin a sexual relationship. If it’s too early in a relationship to discuss children, it’s certainly too early to be having sex. An early consideration of the possibility of conceiving a child may have changed the outcome of “Bob’s” tragic marriage.
The story of “BOB” is just horrible. That poor man wanted each of his children and the only one his wife actually gave life was ripped from him after divorce. Horrible!
This is what abortion leads to!
What a deception! These moms buy into the lie, “I’m not ready to be a Mom yet so I’m going to terminate my pregnancy.”

I didn’t intend to discriminate against the moms. One of the ladies that gave her testimony Saturday had one abortion I believe at 15 and then 4 more after she was married to her first husband of 7 years. He forced her into having the abortions or he would have left her.
She would have been much better off to have gotten rid of that demon-possessed murderer of his own children sooner rather than later.
What an evil beast.
Help us Lord Jesus. Rescue the oppressed. Deliver us oh God from evil men.
I wonder about that Bob story. Sounds like something an anti-abortion person would make up. If true, Bob had some serious issues. Good thing his wife got custody.
Oh come on, Hal.
Bob WANTED his children!! I know several men who WANTED their children and yet did not get the chance to know them or meet them as their girlfriends and spouses killed their own flesh and blood. They did not commit suicide like Bob did but were DEEPLY AFFECTED by abortion!!
You cannot understand the depths of grief that these fathers feel. I am praying that someday you might….
“If true, Bob had serious issues”
Hal,
Of course he did. His well-formed conscience told him that two of the children he fathered were killed by their mother – the woman he chose to marry. How devastatingly sad.
