- In Mississippi, abortion clinic protesters got a scare when a man stopped his car and slashed up their sign with hunting knives.
- Francis Grady, a 50-year-old man with a fairly extensive criminal past, has admitted he tried to burn down a Planned Parenthood in Wisconsin.
- The Washington Post profiles “anti-abortion grandpa” Dick Retta, a sidewalk counselor who has been sued under the FACE Act:
Retta’s lawyer, Jim Henderson, denies in court documents that Retta blocked the woman from entering the clinic. She had approached Retta for help, he wrote, and volunteers were leading her into the clinic against her wishes. He said Retta didn’t shout or yell but said to the woman, “don’t let them force you to have an abortion,” a statement protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution.
- In Australia, a doctor is facing medical misconduct for posting information on how to do a do-it-yourself abortion online:
The Medical Board of Australia is pursuing professional misconduct action against Brisbane doctor Adrienne Freeman [pictured left] after she posted advice online explaining how women could have abortions without medical supervision.
The Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal’s deputy president Judge Fleur Kingham said in a judgement published this week that Dr Freeman’s disciplinary hearing had to be adjourned because she made an attempt to lead evidence while cross-examining an expert witness from the medical board.

Hi, the Washington Post didn’t profile this guy. That’s just an Associated Press article that automatically appears on that site. Big difference.
I’m glad they caught the arsonist/firebomber/whatever-we-end-up-calling-him. Hat tip to the police on that case for their work.
WARNING:Non-sequitur alert. [Caution this bitter pill of ‘truth’ may be difficult to digest for members of the liberal lynch mob and their unwitting accomplices.]

“And this points to the second tragedy that Trayvon’s sad demise highlights. Before the 1960s the black American identity (though no one ever used the word) was based on our common humanity, on the idea that race was always an artificial and exploitive division between people. After the ’60s—in a society guilty for its long abuse of us—we took our historical victimization as the central theme of our group identity. We could not have made a worse mistake.
It has given us a generation of ambulance-chasing [black] leaders, and the illusion that our greatest power lies in the manipulation of white guilt. The tragedy surrounding Trayvon’s death is not in the possibility that it might have something to do with white racism;
the tragedy is in the lustfulness with which so many black leaders, in conjunction with the media, have leapt to exploit his [Trayvon Martin] demise for their own power.”

Why should anyone have to prove themselves innocent of racism to others who parse words, edit audio and manipulate images to comport with their desired version of events?
Thanks for posting!!

Hi Ken,
I have maintained from the start that we need to get facts before jumping to conclusions.
NBC admits doctoring tapes. Appalling. This is what passes for journalism in this country.
Those aging race hucksters Sharpton and Jackson. Maybe these carnival barkers will go to Chicago and do something really useful, like bring public awareness to the deaths of small children to gang violence.
The video that “proved” Zimmerman wasn’t injured. Apparently the morons, including MSNBC talking heads, didn’t realize that one needs police and medical reports to actually verify injuries. People can walk around with concussions and skull fractures and it not be apparent on a video. Also, was it me or was some ABC logo covering any apparent injury on the back of his head? Wasn’t it determined that he may well have had an injury to the back of his head?
Spike Lee and Roseanne endanger people’s lives by tweeting out addresses, one alleged to be Zimmerman’s, one that was Zimmerman’s.
Facts can have a way of ruining a good story. I will continue to reserve judgment until the investigation is final and ALL the facts are in.
Do it yourself abortions, coming from an abortionist? What about women’s need for expert “front alley” abortions?
Gerard Nadal, never met a fetus he wasn’t willing to idolize.
What has any fetal human being done that would cause anyone to lose respect for him/her, Isaac?
Issac, get this straight. Not idolize: respect.
Which fetus lost yours?
Isaac, Gerard Nadal’s comment had literally nothing to do with idolizing fetuses. Were you just waiting for him to post something so you could attack him?
Some fetuses are worthy of more respect than others. It depends on the species, not the lineage (or breed) or sex.
About the man who slashed up prolife signs with hunting knives in Mississippi??
Would LOVE to know what his experience with abortion is.
Isaac,
Is that the best you can do? FWIW, I never would have idolized you. Feel better?
